The Last Cabin on the Saint John River

- This old trapper cabin at Nine Mile on the St. John River was built by Camille Beaulieu. He died in 2006. In 2015 the "Lost Cabin Hunters" who are now called the "Maine Cabin Masters" renovated the cabin installing a standing seam metal roof and flooring. In this episode I work on finish projects around the cabin, fly the drone and play guitar on the porch.
This cabin is an official North Maine Woods campsite and is open to the public on a first come first served basis.#logcabin #offgrid #cabinbuilding

The cabin is looking amazing man, Gracie reminds me soooo much of my girl Remington Remi Jo. Louisiana Blue Weimaraner. She looks like Gracie just bigger ears and the barrel chest weimeys get. But she looks black and acts identical. I watched your how Gracie came to you Video. Amazing how animals are brought to us. Mine was thrown out of a car at 3 weeks old at my baseball field and I took her home. Beginning of our story. Dam Baseball ⚾️ dog lol 😂 she will chew a cover off in less than a minute lmao 😆

Sun sitting with all the colors was very beautiful, like someone said music was nice also peaceful. You do good work, enjoy seeing your work. Spent sometime in Ashland years ago went fishing lots diff places several times over the years. First night I stepped outside about 1in morning and was so surprised how beautiful the night was never seen so many stars woke my wife, said you got see this she wasn't happy until she looked up. Never did move north let life take over.
So much to say about this video but I would just be rambling on. So I'll leave it at this, nice video man and thanks for sharing!

WOW! Great job on the cabin. :) I went out there with Al Cowperthwaite last fall to help him remove some trees that had fallen on the cabin. The cabin needed some TLC for sure, and you did that and then some. :) Thanks for the work that you did. The world needs more people like you. :)

You sure have put in some hard yards with this cabin renovation. From the clearing of trees etc right down to the smallest detail in the rebuild. I'm impressed. Not so much Gracie though. Lol. She just want's loves from her dad.

Wow this great for sure my dad and Ballard who hunted many years in Nine mile spoke of Camille in a great way. He had sport camps that he rented out to sportsmen and at night he would pole his canoe to these camps to check on the sucess. There is another camp somewhere in the area that belonged to John Kissane he was an attorney that had a float plane. He would fly his plane to his camp and Camille guide him fishing some and took care of his camp when he was not there. Kissane helped put Camille s daughter through college. One story i can relay quit clear is if Camille was guiding you fishing and you caught a large trout, he would trace it on a board. My dad saw some of those boards and said they were impressive
Camille was an interesting guy, there used be 4-5 pound brook trout in the river as well as landlocked salmon, those days are gone.
