I’ve watched a ton of videos today on Cinemachine as a few people keep telling me this is the thing to learn to give my first person perspective game what it needs to record camera movements into specific story moments. Your video is easily the best at explaining what Cinemachine does. Thanks man!
Great summary, I have been using Cinemachine for many years, it just mostly works and takes a lot of the camera dev time out for the most part. And yet I didn’t know or had the chance to dig into some of them, the mixing and states cameras look quite useful.
Great video, using CM from day one in my Project. Cinema Follow for following Player, Confiner for Player not see on the edge of the level, Impulse Listener for shaking the camera.
I love cinemachine, I'm honestly surprised they didn't work on its development until just recently. It's such a useful package and eliminates a ton of "unfun" camera physics programming
Thank you very much. I've been looking for this sort of video for a while now!!! If time permits, can you make separate videos for each prefabs and components with examples plz.
this is an awesome tutorial! You are of equal quality to other more popular game dev channels. Hopefully you'll get the notoriety of those other channels soon. If I could just make one small comment, take it for what it's worth. If you could speak a tad slower, I think that would help. At times it even sounds like the video is playing at 1.25 speed.
Please help guys ... Cinemachine doesnt allow my character to move i cant solve it. I have to delete cinemachine to make my character move again but i need cinemachine as well...
Can you give a bit more detail as to the problems? You might check out my 3rd Person Character controller video. It uses the new input system and cinemachine.
@@OneWheelStudio i changed 2d camera to cinemachine virtual camera then i fixed problem but now i dont know how to add a sword collider, attack collider and how to make enemies etc. Im really stuck ;( i really want to make a simple topdown rpg game but i only achieved making my own movement animations and make my character move, thats all ... i dont know how to do another things and i've been watching tutorials but i couldnt achieve making an actual enemy i really need help but i have nobody to help me so if you have videos about my problem can you please help me ? My question is how can i add an attack collider that works in all directions ? My head is going to explode i hope i can achieve killing enemies that drops some items exp and gold
@@daidi9025 man , you need to study! Go to udemy and see some courses, even here on youtube have enough tutorials that will help you in everything that you mentioned. All of that is really basic.
Good eyes! I uninstalled and then reinstalled Cinemachine to capture a video of the install process. I didn't see that I was in the wrong section of the package manager until way late and didn't think anyone would catch my mistake ;)

Your tutorial is very useful I have to say, like the Coroutine tutorial, focusing on the dev between beginner and intermediate level.
Just like a beneficial food 🤗🌷 hope you the best

Thanks for the video words! As for speed. Yep. That's an issue. You should check out my earlier video! :P
This was great, thank you!!
Cinemachine is so cool
one trick you can do is use code to control cinemachine
like if you want to make any sized shake
Whoah, that compressor must be set to 20:1, hard knee, fast attack, slow release with the threshold all the way down.
Ideal information upload!! I'm a better cameraman now.
Awesome!
Cinemachine is amazing.
Great vid, thankss

Why are you showing how to add the old asset store version of Cinemachine? Nowadays it's available as a package.
