I have a 7 year old Ariens Platinum 30 SHO 414cc blower and it is a beast. Bought it brand new. I put the poly skids on it and chains on the tires. I can’t imagine needing anything bigger than this blower. General seasonal maintenance is all I’ve done. I live in Eastern Canada so it’s had lots of use. Honda and Yamaha make a great blower as well but the Ariens is less expensive and easier to work on! No regrets on my purchase!
Different paint job on my new 28 Sho. Wonder what that's all about... Bought the 24 inch last year, and loved it's manuverability. But my neighbors were finishing quicker than me, so I sold the 24 to my bro in law, and got the 28. Been using Ariens snowblowers for 35 years, and they don't break down. So you end up buying newer more user friendly models as they get invented, because you're now 70 instead of 35. Who knew snowblowers could be so much damn fun!
I bought mine in Nov 24, 2020 partially due to this vid. I now have a small problem I can't figure out. When the "Go" lever is down, you can let go of the auger lever and the auger stays on. At first I wasn't a big fan of this, but I'm on board with it now. Now earlier this winter the auger stopped staying on while the Go is down. I've looked under the skid plate, but could determine what had failed. I also snugged up both the Go and auger cables, but no change. Any suggestions? Thanks!
After posting this, I broke down and went to Arien's website. I had to reluctantly create an account giving them my info. I told them my issue and to my surprise they got back to me in a few hours all via email. They sent me a link to the parts manual, gave a page number and the part number they suspected. It wasn't correct, but damn it was close! I easy found the issue with their help and looking on my machine in the right place. I fixed it will a piece a wire (a clip was lost or sheared). So, I can highly recommend them! This little snow blower is a beast and well supported!
Goes up my steep driveway like a beast. Rapidtrak will keep it moving up the slope, and all you need is one hand to engage it. If you use a zip tie, you can walk behind the damn thing hands free (I don't recommend this).
Ya man plows a lot of air. The last video I watched on this machine it was going thru 8" and broke a shear pin using it for the first time. It looks purdy I'll give ya that🤣🤣
Less manuverability, takes up more space to store. The Kracken takes care of folks with longer driveways like my bro in law. But it's a much bigger beast.

When your futures so bright you gotta wear 2 pair of shades!
Can't wait to see how this compares to my old Honda 828.
Have an Ariens zero turn mower and love it! Want to see how their snow blower are.
made in the USA with "Global parts"

Picked up the 30” today. Can’t wait for the snow!
A beast for a beast! Well done!
That is a bad ass snowblower.
It’s a lot of machine that’s for sure!
Thing is a tank. We run five two stage Ariens and those are tanks! This thing looks nice!

i have a question, the EFI(Electronic Fuel Injection) system, will there be any issue when the snowblower is not used in the summer period
You have to plug the EFI model in 3x a year ..
Maybe the prince of snow blowers just don't get in the way of my Kraken...
Are the rapid tracks worth the price increase?
No.
Torque is not power, horsepower is the product of torque multiplied by RPM. The rating should rate both torque and horsepower.
Notification Squad!!! 🔥
55 feet... I dunno if I approve of this message. Thats far, but doesn't quite put the snow into orbit... time to upgrade

Some shear pins are just poor quality.
Nice video....but it needs to be DEMONSTRATED. The Cub Cadet 3X 30" TRAC Snow Blower would out perform this orange joke.....
Only 28" wide though, weird. As much power as it has they should have gone 32-35". Less passes on a long, wide driveway.

Cable controls still for the shoot? And not even hydrostatic meh
Needs the 420 cc
