    Thank you for this review! Fully agree would definitely would like them to get licensing for more modern translations (NIV, CSB,ESV). As an avid notetaker in my Bible (not art just straight notes), I would love 1 full lined blank page on the left for notes with scripture to the left and maybe even more column space for more notes on the scripture page. Note takers really want lots of lined space for notes. If they made this I would purchase in a heartbeat - it would be the ideal Bible in a spiral...

    Thanks, Tim. Interesting, but the price is a deterrent for me. For $130 you can get a nice calfskin edition of the Church Bible Publishers’ Notetaker’s Bible with 2 1/2 inch margins. Actually there are quite a few notetaker and journaling Bibles available. Maybe you could do some reviews on them? I am enjoying the LSB wide margin for Bible study and note taking. Blessings.

    I love the idea, anything that might help different folks engage with Bible is on the right track. For me the plus would be that it lays totally flat!

    I like the look and idea of this. I can never really mark up a Bible, but a spiral bound one feels more right if I would ever write in it, just a like school notebook.

      This does look really promising! But like what you said (and others), it'd be nice if they come out with more translations, even if its just a NKJV. And it seems expensive, but I guess if you wanna splurge on the kids studying a Bible (or yourself or someone else), it'd be a handy set to have. Thanks for showing us this set, Tim :)

  • @Gameroomschoolhouse
    @Gameroomschoolhouse Год назад +3

    It is a really cool idea but could definitely be cost prohibitive. I get it, the paper and the coil alone warrant the price- comparing it to a yearly planner of the same quality and you’re at the same price point.
    It would be cool if they did a more economic edition with thinner paper and a wire coil or if they sold the books individually. It would still put you up there for the whole Bible, but would be totally doable if you wanted to go in depth in one book.
    As for the translations, it seems odd to me that they would choose this super accessible format for the least accessible translations, lol.
    Hoping for a NRSV version myself but I know I’m in the minority 😂

      Still $150 for 5 notebooks is unimpressive. For $150, I want a leather, large font, wide margin Bible. Sure, it's nice notebooks, but it's still a notebook. Just my opinion. I wouldn't spend more than $75 on these and even that would be a stretch

      Check out Crossway’s ESV Journaling Interleaved Edition Bible. It has a blank page between each page of texts for lots of notes. Or the ESV Single Column large print Journaling Bible. There are lots of choices out there now. Blessings.

    • @jscottnewland
      @jscottnewland Год назад +3

      @@abba2me Yes thank you, I should have put that in my comments, $48 (with crossway discount) only one volume so a bit more portable I think the interleaved page gives tons more room for writing notes! I do like that the spiral can be laid flat with only one side open because it is pretty hard to fold back a hardback on itself !!! That is really the greatest feature of the spiral bound. Spiral Bible did send me a coupon for 20% off and free shipping so the price for 5 volumes would drop to $154 , but still pricey for me.
