That combo of Aki, Scotty, and Hoffy came in the 7th, 8th, and 9th - that game was wrapped and closed. I don't recall a time when those 3 never failed to hold and save a lead when they were together. Sadly, those Padres teams they were on were never expected to be anything great despite those 3 & having Prime-Jake Peavy and were bounced by the Prime-Albert Pujols Cardinals.
