I'm glad I got into Heroes. If I hadn't played this game, I would have never gotten into the series. Also, the Heroes community is one of the best communities I've joined. I'm even happy I spent money on the game, even if my pulls were better with my F2P orbs. ^^; Overall, I hope this game and this community keeps on going foward! :3
I didn't watch most of the video, since he starts with a ridiculous claim - saying they're similar. There's a more intuitive explanation; would you daily, for at least 1 year: play a game by tapping the screen to collect some randomized character? and compete by doing some more tapping? -maybe play a game constrained outside of your house, has to be played while you're moving around, including the competitive part? -no Also, FEH has a lot more depth than PGO, though they also had their own weak start. So I assume PGO developed slowly after their loss of players.
Minh DT It's Pokemon Grand Order - you go outside and catch historical waifus, and find singularities. Or maybe it's just Fate with pokemon instead of human characters.
Because it very user friendly for a gacha game and keeps the dedicated fans interested in it. Free orbs, Every unit can be viable, It acknowledges both the old and new fans of fire emblem, No junk summons, and the simplyfing the FE gameplay just enough where it’s not braindead easy, but not NES hard. They easily could’ve just acknowledge one part of the FE fanbase and ignore the rest like Pokémon Go did, but they didn’t. They decided to have 3 generations of Fire Emblem represented with the Original Players from the famicom getting Shadow Dragon characters, the GBA era and original western players getting the Elibe Characters, and newer fans getting Awakening and Fates characters. Also adding units like Sanaki, Eirika, Reinhardt, and Julia early on was good indication that fans of every Fire Emblem wasn’t being ignored. Also no junk summons like other gacha games. I’ve been turn off from many gacha games because the summoning is abysmal. Where 1% for the good and desirable units with no way to boost your chances unless you’ve already wasted about 500+$ worth of in-game currency. There’s no junk item like badges or stamia potions from the summon sessions, I’ve played a few gachas where the early starter rolls were nothing but junk and not even another character. Leveling up characters is mostly free and not restricted to you buying more in-game currency to unlock levels 21+ or upgrading to another star rank.
Hou Yi tell me about,I've played another gacha for about 4 years (Fantasica) and ALL of the problems you talk about are in this... IN ABUNDANCE! Like the ☆rank is really all that matters and there was 0 way of evolving a unit to be on par with a higher ☆ rank, what you had is what you got and the whales had all the power, and the ONLY way to get a unit higher than a 4☆ rank (highest is 10☆now) was to pay! You could trade units with other people but if you didn't have anything rare (limited edition units with only 100prints won through events...in Which Wales win) no one would trade with you lol
FE Heroes has no disclaimer of "this is a gambling game, disclaimer disclaimer, be careful" written over YET, since november 2017 this kinda games are ILLEGAL thx to EA and many counts, because this stuff is officialy gambling with emotions included for extra bait. You can sue FEH by now, I wonder why only a minority try this, maybe some fear the game would be erased, reasonable, but hey :/
Evilriku13 Are you daft? FEH is far from illegal, the shitstorm that EA fomented has not changed any sort of law or legislation yet and even then FEH being owned by a japanese company means that there isn't much that the american legal system can do to stop their business practices. And either way, FEH is the most fair gacha game in the market right now so only an idiot would aim to try shit by sueing it's makers when there are much bigger targets with significantly shittier business practices running around...I'm looking at you Gumi...
Sleeps Yes it is lol. A regular F2P player or a player who once in a while spends on orbs rarely meets whales in arenas. Also, the whales don’t affect the gameplay at all and majority of the average players are at a stable tier 18-19 in arena which means a constant 4 orbs rewards every week.
Docaccino What blades are you talking about? At least when it comes to Nia, Rex and Meleph (Mórag) only Homura/Hikari (Pyra /Mythra) were actually useful to me. Kagutsuchi (Brighild) is alright but Byakko (Dromarch) is completely useless. Then again I did use a lot of the free blades. Teni (Herald), Seori (Theory), Mikumari (Praxis) and Kasane (Kasandra) are definetly awesome, leaving only Nanakoori (Ursula), Hotaru (Floren), Shiki (Adenine) and KOS-MOS as the blades I got from core crystals. PS: Now that I think about it, you're actually quite right.
Without Fire Emblem Heroes I wouldn't have met all the fun good people on Strategistmaster's Discord server and I love working with all the units that I like from across the series. This past year has been a blast and there were amazing moments like my 4 5*s with 60 orbs moment or my sad 35 summons only to get a 5* Seth instead if the new Mounted Eirika. But I've pulled through and its always fun and addicting even if I don't get the characters I wanted. Thanks for all!
It's not just gambling/UI/customization. Fire Emblem Heroes did what other games did wrong. It didn't have horrible connection that makes the game unplayable (Pokemon GO). It didn't set overblown standards from shitty advertising videos and fulfill none of said standards upon release (Pokemon GO). It didn't have infrequent updates that made the game stale (Clash Royale). Might be important to note that *this is the first Fire Emblem game I've ever played.*
I play heroes for one purpose to see Felicia murder everything with a plate, a cold plate at that. Also because its fun, and honestly I have played a lot of games that have bad game-play but Fire emblem's unique design makes it that you can always win so long as your smart
I'd also tack on three smart moves by the devs, two of which are in stark contrast to the typical gacha game formula: 1) There's *always* a focus banner. In fact, there's no such thing as summoning without a focus. That means your chances of summoning _some_ 5-star hero is always 6% at _minimum,_ which is enormous by gacha game standards. There's no guarantee you'll get a unit that's at the top of the current meta-game, but tier lists are a community thing; you're still getting a game piece of the highest possible rarity in terms of game mechanics. And, like I said, three or four _always_ have a higher summon chance than the others, allowing you to maximize your chances at specific ones when a banner eventually rolls around for them. Not like that guarantees anything, but that extra sense of agency is huge for making the gacha machine _feel_ fair. 2) Each and every unit can be raised to the highest possible rarity. That means there's no artificial limitation placed on their stat growth or skill availability -- it's all determined by the character's intrinsic properties rather than an arbitrary "rarity" rating. I've *never* seen that in any other gacha game. (Though admittedly, I have a fairly low sample size.) It's still costly to do so, of course, since it's dependent on resources that are primarily distributed as weekly "PvP" rewards and monthly-ish events. (And it's a currency you _can't_ pay for, which was also a smart move.) So promoting a unit to 5 stars still takes around 2-3 weeks, maintaining the significance of the 5-star rarity whilst making it perfectly plausible to achieve for _any_ character. No characters are weaker than others just because the devs say so. It's _actually_ rooted in gameplay. 3) Less on the gacha side, and more on the "smart game design" side in general: the devs seem to pay close attention to common trends in the meta-game and release characters with skills seemingly designed to throw everything off-balance and keep things dynamic. Lyn seems to be the poster child of this trend: both Bridal Lyn and Brave Lyn had abilities that prevented counters in a meta-game permeated with distant-countering melee units. Brave Lyn's variation on that ability specifically stopped those counters from _physical_ melee weapons, and included an ability that negated buffs on mages, shutting down blade-tome users. Brave Lyn's entire ability set seems laser-guided to disrupt popular builds. She was almost single-handedly responsible for people opting for Bow Breaker in their builds rather than the ever-present Vantage or Quick Riposte. There are plenty of other examples of new releases that seem to be a direct response to common builds, too. That's very prudent on Intelligent Systems' part, since that keeps the game from becoming stale and promotes build creativity by introducing new ways for units to interact. Also, shoutout to the Devs for Felicia's Plate. She went from "pretty good support unit Res tank" to "annihilator of unbalanced defenders." And the weapon's refinement makes her an even _better_ mage killer than before, with a guaranteed Glacies against most mages. (Looking at you, Reinhardt.) Major props to the devs for breathing life into mediocre units by giving them some amazing unique toys. I've even started to see some mages run _dagger breaker,_ presumably in response to Felicia's new deadly kitchenware. There's so much I can praise the devs for in this game, lol. There's some stuff to critique as well; nothing's truly perfect. But there's a lot of really key things that FEH gets very _right,_ and it deserves every bit of credit for those things.
"chances of summoning some 5-star hero is always 6% at minimum" Until you realize that not rolling a certain IV (like neutral or +atk on a brave weapon user) makes the unit trash-tier, and understand that the chances are actually way lower than that. Unless you just roll for the character... but this game has so little detail to characters that there's really not much point to doing that either :c I'll take my 1% FGO rates that give me well-detailed chars with unique character-only quests that expand on their personality, unique special moves and battle animations, and small but pleasant things like special interactions if you have another character significant to them in your roster. Aside from stuff like GHB which are like puzzles you have to solve, there is absolutely nothing enjoyable to me in that game. I tried picking it up again multiple times too, but couldn't keep at it for longer than a couple days. It's just so... bland and unattractive. How many people actually don't have the battle animations turned off? FEH characters have like a third of their lines just in the skill quotes lol. What do you people play the game for? I'm genuinely interested, because battles are certainly not the thing I found fun in it. With how little detail went to the part that you spend the most time on, I'm at a loss here.
Nothing to see here If the battles aren't your cup of tea, the game likely holds nothing for you. I and many others _do_ find the battles very enjoyable. It's indeed unfortunate though that there isn't as much context depth to the characters as in F/GO, which alongside the story was easily my favorite part of the game. (Though admittedly it was also the only part I found worthwhile, but maybe that's the main draw of the game anyway.) On the flip side of that though, the less content required to add a character to the game, the more characters can be added in a given timeframe, which allows more varied gameplay with new possible units _and_ new skills for existing units. That kind of ever-increasing variation is important for a tactical strategy game like FEH -- especially since it has PvP, which F/GO doesn't (unless things have changed a lot). That's not a rag on F/GO though... I'm not saying it needs or "should" have PvP; it's just a major difference in design that supports different focuses of character content. FEH's gameplay-centric design works better with a higher quantity characters that require fewer resources to produce, while F/GO's story-/world-centric design prefers much richer characters that require whatever resources it takes to give them that level of richness. In fact, I'd say that's the major difference between the two games: FEH delivers on a certain interest in moment-to-moment gameplay and strategic character builds, while F/GO delivers on an interest in story and character with moment-to-moment gameplay that's _just_ interesting enough to feel substantial as in-betweens for those story/character bits. If you don't find FEH's gameplay engaging and find its lack of character depth disappointing, I think it's really just that simple. The games just deliver on fundamentally different types of enjoyment. They both use the gacha system as a vehicle for that enjoyment, but once a player gets a new character, they're interesting in two rather different ways. So at that point, it depends on which type of enjoyment any given player prefers. I could talk at length about what _I_ find fun about the gameplay, but I suspect you won't get much out of reading me ramble on about that. I suggest looking up _The Aesthetics of Play,_ which is a part of a theoretical framework of game design that posits that there are only 8 or so fundamental types of "fun" that we experience in games ("aesthetics" is the term they use), and that any given game will dominantly deliver on two or three of those. Thus, any given player's taste in games is at least partially defined by which of those types of fun appeal to them the most. Don't take my word for it, though -- I grossly oversimplified it to keep the text readable. I highly recommend the channel _Extra Credits,_ which has a great 10-minute video summarizing the concept. It could shed a lot of light on why so many people are crazy about something you might find so uninteresting, and vice-versa. ^_^ Oh, and on the 5-star summon chance thing: Since the discussion here is more about keeping players hooked for the game's longevity rather than an in-depth analysis of its elements overall, the chances of summoning a 5-star that's actually useful is irrelevant. In terms of getting players addicted, their evaluation of the pragmatic use of the characters _after_ the gacha is much less important than that dopamine rush they get when they successfully get _any_ 5-star summon. By the time you can rationally process that your summon is mostly useless, your brain has already gotten that snap-reaction pleasure that makes winning feel like winning. That has to be overcome by an even stronger _displeasure_ from the game, which is... well, _the game_ itself in your case, I suppose. ^_^ So yeah, you're not wrong with the practical summon rate thing, but that's beside the point of this particular discussion. Seriously, look up the Aesthetics of Play. It could be more eye-opening than you might think! ^_^
Thank you for a well-constructed answer. This provided some of the necessary insight as to why I liked and disliked what I did. I don't really have anything to add. I'm actually quite amazed you went out of your way to write this, but also grateful. I'll make sure to check out the resources you suggested to deepen that understanding of "fun" a bit more. Then, have a good time of the day. Maybe we'll cross paths again sometime =)
I'm afraid I can't have you being _that_ appreciative. Don't take this personally -- I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice: Screw your boring-ass game and your opinion sucks. You're better at picking user-names than mobile-games, because there really _is_ nothing to you. So go play your dumb game with its poorly-written plot and get off the internet. So there. That's what you get for not being toxic enough.
That is a good an example of some very polite toxicity, if I ever saw one. Seriously though, thanks. I am usually brash when voicing my opinions (or so I've been told) so getting an answer that looks past the surface into the core is rare for me.
ArcticYetiGamer the same thing happened to me. i was never really interested in fire emblem but i was hyped for a free mobile game from nintendo that’s not mario run. i downloaded the game the day it came out and i loved it so much. Now i have both fates, awakening, sacred stones, original fire emblem (with lyn), and shadow dragon. also smash bros got me into fire emblem :)
Konic64 LOL SAME! When I saw Lucinda, Ike, Robin, and Marth I’m like “who the hell are they?” And grew to love them and so I downloaded Fire Emblem Heroes To love the franchise even more
I'm glad you mentioned the UI design, because that's what struck me the most. There really is a ton of information on screen at any given moment, yet it _feels_ like they have room to spare. It's also nice that tapping on almost anything will provide a brief informational pop-up text, just in case you have no clue what you're looking at. Contrast another game I noticed you referenced: Fate/Grand Order. The first thing I noticed about _that_ game when it came out in North America (after playing FEH for months) is its _awful_ UI and overall clunky UX. _Nothing_ feels smooth in that game, due to poor layout choices, lack of available information about confusing elements, lower average FPS in its transitions and most animations, confusing menu navigation... there's a lot to be improved on. In fact, the biggest problems almost seemed to be _specifically_ addressed in FEH, as if Intelligent Systems did their research on popular gacha games in order to improve on their weakest UX elements. (I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's actually what happened -- any good designer does their research to find known problems and solutions as part of the design process!)
HalcyonSerenade Are you salty that FGO is more popular in Japan. I mean feh animation is good but the story of feh is terrible. FGO looks good but it story is great. Mobile games story usually aren't that good.
Micahl Taylor I do agree with that. FEH's story has gotten marginally better since F/GO came to North America, but it's still an area that it definitely loses out to F/GO. The writing in F/GO is pretty terrible in some places, but I suspect that has more to do with awkward localization rather than _actually_ poor writing. On the deeper side of things, F/GO still uses great cultural/historical icons as vehicles for pondering morality, ethics, and other philosophical musings, just like we've known from the other Fate/ works. That's actually my favorite part of the Fate/ franchise in general -- what better vehicle for discussing certain philosophical viewpoints than cultural heroes who are _icons_ for those very viewpoints? So I'm very glad F/GO's story delivered on that, even if some of the actual wording was awkward and clunky. As a _game,_ though, FEH kinda runs circles around F/GO ^_^ I return to F/GO for new story chapters, maybe have a little fun with the occasional event. When things get stale again after a few weeks, I go back to playing FEH like usual :P I greatly respect F/GO for the effort the writers put into its scenarios and characters, but at the end of the day, the game with more engaging _game_ play is going to get more of my time.
HalcyonSerenade more power to ya. FEH gameplay is better but overall the event get steal fast. FGO events are better and more organized. FEH is a time waster but FGO more long term but both are fun games in there own right.
I completely switched from feh to fgo as the gameplay and the events became pretty boring to me and way to often you were forced to use certain heroes even though you didn't like them. Also the fact that the materials to full build a hero are locked behind the gatcha gave me the final push(try building an ideal dragon emblem without several brave Ike). FGO on the other side gives me a great story, funny and diverse events and a ton of actual bonding with the characters you like (interlude and maybe story appearances). And at last, fgo actually stayed away from the powercreep. Feh didn't kept it's promises for long.
fgo's sprites are better than feh's old flash game looking ones but fgo drops frames everywhere yes lol. but fate go's gameplay style seems to make more sense for a phone, despite the weaker ui
THANK YOU for discussing the amazing UI in this game as I have loved it since launch, yet haven't seen much discussion about it outside my own threads. Also, I feel like you did hit a lot of key points about FEH's success, so I must say, I'm impressed. Edit: Was that a JoJo reference
One Free Summon on each banner, Rates raise as you summon, Banner Characters have higher chance of appearing, Ability to snipe your desired character thanks to color selection during summons, orbs are graciously given to you almost everyday, only one purchaseable pack and you never feel like you need to buy it, faithful to the original games gameplay, Characters that are lower than 5 stars are usefull and can be upgraded to 5 star if you with, Free to Play friendly. Now your average other gacha games: There are never free summons, Rates are always low and never increase, all characters in a gacha have the exact same chance of appearing(Meaning you have the same chances of pulling filler and featured units), tons of overpriced packs which contain items that otherwise you would need to grind for days to no end(coughpilaftrovecough), summons are always random and there is no way to affect what you'll get from your summons. Any unit below 5* rarity is pretty much useless garbage
I think the way they give so many ways of getting free currency with events and quests if you have some decent units you can get 40+ orbs each week wich gets you 10 units if you chain-summon. All of the othe gacha games i played like Love Live! and Fate/Grand Order starve you of currency and bait you to use 30-50 otbs/gems/tickets/diamonds to pull 10 or more in one go wich lessens the amount of times players get that feeling of pulling an ultra rare thing.
Fire Emblem Heroes, no Fire Emblem in general has gone a long way. From Fire Emblem being that one game that would be dead when Awakening would be it's last game if it didn't do well to one of Nintendo's top 5 series, at least in my opinion definitely still contending with Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon though.
Fire Emblem is never going to reach Pokemon level, I don't think anything will for a long time. Also Pokemon fans bicker way less than FE fans. Most of the people who hate later gens tend to be people who "grew out of it", from what I've seen.
From what I've seen, Competitive Pokemon (when they're too busy bickering at each other to care) and "I stopped after gen 1/2" do seem to be less vocal than anyone who screams at the 3DS entries.
Yeah... but FE gained a cancerous waifu/husbando fandom... Not sure it was worth it (ok, maybe for Conquest and Echoes remaster... the rest? Meh... not really).
You forgot a little thing, back in the day, i wanted to buy fire emblem fates, but i didnt had money, i wanted to play a fire emblem game, fire emblem Heroes is free, if you want a fire emblem experience without having money, its perfect
Riper DT y'know, it's a funny thing. Because there is no miss/luck characters like Arthur are actually usable & viable when back in their own games THE DIRT THEY WALKED ON RECOILED IN DISGUST. Also Mages can't complain about lucky crits anymore.
Ayyyy Holland Casino Also I saw that Ascension Beruka and the Ascension memes are some of the best stuff this game has created, never been a Fire Emblem player. Heck I barely even knew the series, but I fell victim to the Consensus-effect, and then went ahead and became a driving force behind my friend group adopting the game. Interesting to see a video describing the phenomenon, ya got another sub. Also proud to say I haven't spent a dime since I started playing back at the Bridal banner last year.
Super neat video! Glad to see a throughout explanation of gatcha included. FEH's freedom in build is such a breath of fresh air compared to other gatcha, it makes it unique. Also it was fun to notice your accent, I wonder were the dutch FEH community is hiding!
Wow, this video was fantastic! Didn’t expect to have this much thought and analysis put into it! Even though I stopped playing the game awhile ago (the reason being customization actually, my luck ran sour and was going for months without getting units for skill inheritance, so while I may get a unit I want I didn’t have the resources to run them so i was stuck using the same units over and over again. It got disheartening. Plus I ended up enjoying FGO more gameplay wise.) I’m very happy that it’s doing well!
SPLENDIDLY CRAFTED. This was a wonderful video! Great content and the analysis of the game while throwing in external and studied concepts makes for a more engaging experience. Wonderful!
That's the problem with gacha games. They don't count as a slot machine because in a slot machine you always win or lose while gacha Games you always get something. If you did not like fine but at least you get something is their excuse.
I'll have to admit, I got into FEH because of Bride Cordelia and Summer Robin... Then stay'd for the solid gameplay, customization and challenge... and Summer Camilla, welp...
I play both games but I still like FGO more. Despite the 1% 5 star rate, the story and animations of the servants/noble phantasm are top notch for a phone app game. Plus the FGO events are way better. Sadly I get bored during FEH events and just auto battle during tempest trials.
As well as Monster Strike... Goddamn, those two are still on the top of the Most Grossing Mobile Games, despite being Japan-only (FGO English, FGO China and two other FGO servers are counted as different from FGO Japan)... along with Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga.
FGO has better content but FEH is a bit more F2P friendly. I play FGO more but I know I'll only get about 5% of the characters I want there, while I pretty much always get my faves in FEH.
I couldn't get into FGO, I downloaded it recently to see what it was about, and honestly, it was boring, and doesn't help that I don't recognize the majority of the characters.
Gacha games don't work like gambling. They take a different psychological approach. When you get you wanted, you generally stop spending your currency. What the game does instead is give you the illusion of success. Generally, if you are pulling for a Fire Emblem banner, you generally get a 5 star after 2 or so full pulls (chance of not pulling a single 5 star after two full pulls is a little over 50% on a standard banner and a little over 40% on a Legendary or Hero fest). Since you usually generate around that amount between banners, it's generally at no cost to the player. So, you get into the rhythm of getting generally what you want. But, when the odds aren't in your favor, you fall into the sunk cost fallacy (boosted by the increasing rate) believing that is you just pay a little, the five star you want will come. This is compounded by the social effect of when you are in the community and aren't as lucky, you see these insane characters and delude yourself that it isn't that hard and are more willing to pay up. Then, there are the whales that take that frustration and fear of being outdated and spend more on the game, trying to get that hero when sniping for heroes tends to be more expensive. Another factor is that the game is still very playable without those desired 5 stars. Every customer that sticks around is a potential whale because of sunk cost. And the general generosity of orbs mentally devalues the orbs in your head until you really need them. Then there is the conflict of the limited time of the banners. Granblue Fantasy does a similar thing but, instead uses free summons instead of just free currency though it also entices you with the plot that makes you like the characters to want to pull for them. The paid guarantee gachas really play to people's desires.
As a gross over-simplification: Any gacha system isn't magically not gambling because there isn't a chance to get exactly nothing. Heck, when it comes to a digital gacha system, it really *is* nothing when there's no player economy to trade it with. I'm not even trying to be overly negative with this or anything given I've played FEH since launch, I'm just saying.
I wasn't arguing that nor that gacha systems aren't problematic, just that there are different forces with gacha systems compared to normal gambling. Gacha games have a huge community and competitive components that drive purchases compared to them as well as the requirement to regularly update to capture the audience and purchases.
I don't usually spend money on mobile games, but seeing how generous this game has been I actually spent some money on it after almost a year of playing lol.
UI design in FEH is absolutely stunning masterpiece. There are many mobage's out there that arent bad games overall, but have atrocious and off-putting UI. Take Granblue for example. The UI is so unclear and complex and simply terribly designrd that I have no idea how to navigate in it. FEH is total opposite of it. Easy and newbie-friendly UI that just feels so welcoming and nice. Its one of multiple reasons why I like FEH more than some otherwise similar games. (Even tho I shamelessly spend more time in FGO)
I love how you say that the community is what makes this game so good i do agree but it has made a bigger youtuber stop because he said the the community is shit and we are all assholes to one another. There is such a big flip side to everything
Different parts of the community hang out in different areas, for example the reddit community is mostly 100% solid, RUclips may not have the same community there also to note it is also probably harder to monitor what people do or say in the RUclips comments allowing for that type of behaviour, overall if that RUclipsr decided to stop while the community would be to blame (partly) there are other people he/she could quite easily reach out to for content. I'm simply going to defend the community in a general sense because the majority seem pretty decent to one another unless you start spouting opinion as fact. (like the whole S+ Est meme)
reddit is cancer, you say one thing they don't like and they fucking harass you and become annoying little shits (i mean the website in general, just full of pretension shits) the game itself i still can't wrap around how people like the game, i HATE how they force you to only be able to play X amount of games a day, effectively handicapping your progress without paying up and that doesn't take into the mediocre gathca system that is the ONLY WAY to get desired units and god forbid you're busy on the week they had the hero you wanted, you're basically fuck i haven't really spoken or know anyone who actively plays FE H myself but playing it for the first month or two burnt me out real fucking quick and knowing my phone is bricked means all that progress is lost; i don't have any FE communities to go to myself so i'll just dump my story here i guess
4 Reasons why I still play FEH (and maybe these are the reasons other players still do, too): 01 Nostalgia: I'm a hardcore fan of the series, I played "Shadow dragon and the blade of light", "Gaiden", "Mistery of the emblem", "Genealogy of the Holy war" and I'm currently playing Thracia 776... SO...Playing FEH, for me, brings a strong feeling of nostalgia, since I am very attached to the games and the MANY memorable characters...So the feeling of summoning the characters you like is just PERFECT! 02 The Artwork: Should I really explain this? 03 It's an authentic Fire Emblem game like any of the previous ones. 04 Tons of very fun updates: I'm dying to know what will be that new feature that we have in the Battle Menu...That Green Island at the left in the top of the screen *----* Simply: Owning our favorite characters/Playing the game as we look at a beautifully designed background and characters/It's Fire FUC...ING Emblem/Lots of updates. #FEHIsTheBestGame
A great video which sums up why i like FEH so nicely. And unlike some "competitive" games, despite having tier lists and such, Heroes is a really balanced game, where you can make every unit, with the proper investment (not always whaling, i used a great 5* Eliwood during 70% of my time playing as my main unit until i got Ayra, which is good since i missed freaking BK and i don't have money for the Burguer King Menu) and there is literally no meta (except trends like Reinhardt and Brave Lyn which have their fair share of counters and Armor Emblems which are my Micaiah's dinner). Added to the fact that the game gives you a lot TL;DR: FEH is one of the most generous gachas out there
Yes, I agree with this video sooooo much. Especially the builds part, I think based on the fact I haven't lost a defense in about 30 attacks that my Distant Counter/Distant Defense Nephenee build is un-naga-ly powerful (Get it, instead of ungodly powerful? Haha... ...I'm sorry.). Anyway awesome video dude!
Well said, you covered many of the biggest plus points that are in the game, especially the fantastic UI xD I also completely agree that it's amazing how positive the FEH community is, somehow I feel like there's a lot less salt here than most online games I'm used to seeing haha
I am newer to Fire Emblem. First played Fates, then Awakening and currently Echoes. I plan on playing the older games too and many I want to try because of the app and thing X character is cool I wanna play his/her game
While I will not doubt that having a game to bring the people in the community together and to bring more content is a great thing, I will have to say, as someone who has played and dropped FEH, there are certainly problems with it, most of which, I believe stems from the combination of competitive elements and the inequality developed from the gacha system. If you wish to do well in the arena or any other competitive element that has since been released since dropping it, you must either get impossibly lucky when pulling from the gacha system, or be willing to spend the money until you get what you want, which is also the case for inheriting skills. There is so much that is going for the game that makes me wish it was the ideal that I'd wanted. As a side-note, you might want to cut back on the manipulation. Showing non-comparable scenes to prove a point (6:31)is a simple way to manipulate someone into thinking similarly.
My favorite part of the game is how much attention it brings to lesser-known characters and games. If they remake Thracia 776 at any point, you can be sure Reinhardt will be on the box.
When I started playing Fire Emblem Heroes I wasn't really a Fire Emblem fan. I had watched Mangs play through Fates, but that was about it. I was interested in the series' gameplay and I loved how the units were used, but I didn't particularly like how some of the mechanics were implemented, and I felt like you had so many options for what you could do in a round that I would spend way too long thinking about things when there were several options that would work, so I would waste a lot of time on the game. I tried FE 7, but after getting past the tutorial portion of the game I was bored by the gameplay. Then I played FE Heroes, and it was the strategy game that I wanted. You aren't given a crazy amount of options (which means that picking one to do isn't too hard,) but you're still given enough that you don't feel like only one option is the only right one. There are so many different units that all feel unique (but with a bit of sacrifice you can completely change how a unit plays, which is, in my opinion, a great design choice) so you can have a team that is completely unique to you. Of course, you don't decide which units you get, but that's part of the fun. You have to work with what the game gives you until it gives you something that you wanted. Additionally, due to the teams being so small, you can't have every type of unit on one team, so there is no team that is fit for every task, which is where the multiple teams come in. I had a pretty good main team that was very well rounded, but it wasn't good at everything, which made me train up units that I wouldn't normally use, just in case they come in handy in the future. This gave me plenty to do in FE Heroes, and the constant updates and new achievements made the game continuously have more and more content. The only reason that I stopped playing FE Heroes was because I was spending too much time on it. I had other things to do, and there was one time where I was particularly busy and had to stop playing for a little while, and by the time that I had time to play it again I just decided not to, so that I didn't waste any more time. I'd love to get back into playing it, but there are other things which I consider to be more important. By the way, that outro music is really nice. I'm glad that you included a link to it, I'd love to hear the whole thi... wait a sec, it's Native Faith? Why does everything lead me back to Touhou?
It's actually quite decent towards the free to play players also I've not spent any money from launch and even though I'm restricted to an extent I don't feel left out as a casual player since I have decent 5* heroes, yea I may not have best in slot for everything but I don't feel like I'm missing out massively. It does seem to be moving towards content I'll not be able to do but it's not a problem yet really
I think that, besides gambling, the fact that you have all your favorite fire emblem units in the same game just makes the cute.... For example, u can have hector and lilina fighr together, roy and eliwood, and actually all you want.... Hey love hector, becuase you ara an old school, but also like new units like lucina? Welp here is FEH for you.... But great point! Loved the vid
for the 5 days i play FEH i got a few max stars characters and the very strong one at that it doesn't seem to be pay to win and you get more characters fast and easy witch is good if you take the time to play the game its fairly fun and it kind of throws me back to Heroes 3 in a sense with its game-play in tactics
fate go is also pretty f2p friendly because there isnt any kind of pvp mode or online mode that pits you against others and you can use lower stared units and still get through the story
One of the things I love about this game, as low odds as the gatcha is I yet to spend a single penny of actual money on this thing. Yet I have managed to get lucky enough to get a good number of 5 star units I want. Or gather enough feathers to make units I like into 5 stars. I really appreciate how you can turn a lowly 3 start and have the potential to raise it up on its own. And the rewards and free orbs do give enough to have a healthy supply with each content release to at least give a decent try at new units each cycle.
Playing FE Heroes as I watch this video. Personally I think another aspect that really keeps this game going is how free it is in giving out orbs. It's completely possible to play free-to-play. I haven't spent money on it since last March, and I've managed to get most of the heroes I've wanted just by doing quests and the Tempest Trials that go up to 99,000 points and give you one or three free orbs every five thousand or so. Intelligent Systems also listens to its fans in adding new characters and features, they give out daily free orbs as a log-in bonus, and there are new quests constantly added to keep you hitting the story maps and using certain weaponed units to get the rewards for said quests. It's a very rewarding game, and I never feel like I'm being cheated.
i got into fire heroes just last month i'm hooked but i'm more hooked on grineding , great way to unwind before and after work and some times on brake...some times
My thoughts on some more reasons: 1st) It has actual gameplay that rewards direct actions at no random risk. You touched on this when you talked about how the game is a true Fire Emblem: Most mobile games are shallow or largely non interactive, with most gatcha games in paticular being barely interactive auto rpgs or containing highly random elements in their gameplay. If you can't beat a level in Fire Emblem it isn't just the games fault for not giving you a better unit, it can easily be your fault for not utilizing what you do have well enough. Units don't get random stat boosts or miss enemies due to some RNG, what you see is what you get and what you have to work against in order to win. 2nd) The Gatcha is fair and straightforward. Unlike most F2P and Gatcha games that weigh you down with dozens of monetized items that are redeemed for 2 or 3 different types of loot, you can only buy 1 resource to redeem for only one kind of prize. This in game currency is also notable for being in small denominations, and you don't have tiered prizes and orbs either, No "Premium summons" with "Premium only" orbs. It's so simple: You can only buy units, and only with Orbs. 3rd) Similar to your point on customization, but taking it a step further: Characters are actually worth something without having ultimate powers gatelocked. I have played a couple other Gatcha and to me all the characters feel throwaway and utterly worthless unless they are a Super rare, and often only super rares are upgradeable. This feels much less to be the case with FEH. Sure, some characters suck overall, and I am not interested in all of them myself. But even a crap 4* character can easily be upgraded to 5*, fused and turned into a power house by someone who is interested in them if they are dedicated enough to do so. And even if you don't want the character at all, just burn it for feathers or skills, as even some of the weakest characters do have incredibly useful skills. If you do choose level your 4*, 5* status only requires 20,000 feathers, a small price to pay compared to the rare item and duplicate fusions other Gatcha require, and reaching +10 isn't really necessary to keep most units viable, even then just 5* dup 4*'s for those that really do need the stat boost. While super nice abilities are often locked to the newest rare characters and powercreep otherwise has gotten worse lately, these issues had taken time to really rear their ugly head the game since IS had managed to keep them at bay for so long. 4th) You don't really have to pay a dime. I paid 20$ at launch, justifying this as considering it buying the game. Haven't paid a cent since. Currently, I am sitting at more than 275 orbs and had more stored up before the newest legendary banner. You get orbs pretty easily, and you don't need the newest super unit in order to have fun with what you do have. The large number of f2p guides makes this process even easier, allowing those who spend little to nothing a chance to build up massive orb counts as I did. Honestly, I think the game just does everything it needs to do for people to consider it "fair" really well, and the core game itself is just really solid fun.
Heroes got better as time passes. They gave us new Heroes we wanted, Alm's refined treatment for Falchion, summon support, and memes. I really like this game a lot. This is a well made video you made Sol. Thank you.
Games pretty fun...not really that weird that it's still around especially since playing for free is very viable. Also this game solves the big map problem normal fire emblem has. I've only spent like 60 dollars on the game since release and I probably never will again. Anyway if anyone interested in this game you don't have to be a whale to enjoy. I 've been getting highest rewards the game can give from arena every week and there hasn't been a event I couldn't complete since release and I did that completely for free(the money I spent was more for vanity than actual winning lol). Play responsibly.
idk, I loved FE:Warriors when I tried it out on a convention, wanted to play something FE after, not having any Nintendo products left me with one choice: Heroes. Getting my ultimate waifu was fairly easy I must say, as this game is very f2p friendly, fun to play, has a good balance between auto-play and controllable play, constantly adds new features, the story is interesting etc etc... It's in my top 3 mobile games right besides Fate Grand Order and Sword Art Online Memory Defrag.
I'm not a huge fire emblem person especially after corrin was announced for smash and I've never played a fire emblem game because I'm a Nintendo console gamer but the app was what peaked my interest to Fire Emblem and it introduced me to my waifu Effie at first I liked her due to her skill I earned a respect for her and while others lost my interest I kept her on my main team
I love how the "fan favorite" was Hector but it TOOK SO LONG TO GET A SECOND VERSION OF HIM?! And we're still waiting for his brave version! I want my dragon-riding-lance-wielding-florinas-dress-wearing-BRAVE HECTOR! Great video!
i think it's so great that the game gets updated very frequently, every week and every month there's new content coming up like crazy to keep the player engaged and interested. what i really like is that the game isn't pay to win, even if you don't buy orbs you can still get good at the game.
The Aesthetic of summoning, that is receiving or getting new characters is awesome. but it just not just stop there, i have no choice but to give merit to the near-pseudo nature of serendipity that the near winning or even allure of powerful 5-stars is fantastic. Due to this you see that an apparent nature fairness is foster in this game not just from summoning itself but the fairness of the game as a whole. It is fascinating that you can play the game whole without even spending a dime, it relys on nothing but play, the user only need to seek hours into the game, and be reward with fair drops, not to mention the array of different events in game that continue to feed as you have dubbed a "bomb-fire" it continues to burn as the game as created a simple but effective formula of Story + events = Orbs = Summoning That's my initial take on this series (fire emblem heroes) an amazing game. I await real PvP
A good breakdown. I do agree that the very design and interface does play a factor. Although honestly I like how FGO set itself up as well. Heroes was smart to stick to the gameplay and systems that make Fire Emblem what we know it to be. If they didn't then yeah I could have seen them having more problems. Honestly the only thing that I don't love about FEH is the story side of it. The gameplay is solid and building/customizing is fun so that does somewhat make up for it. But partly why I like FGO a bit more.
Awasome video! Very nice to know why the game lived this long, i was wondering about it for a while xD Also if you ever make another heroes video, mind giving a shout-out to the FE heroes amino(on the amino app that is xD )? - An FE heroes amino curator Oh en hoi ander NL sprekend persoon xD
When FEH first came out i was like "meh... another FE?" Because i'm not a fan of FE that time, but i give it a try a few months later since my friend reccomend it to me. And turns out i enjoyed it more than i thought. Still playing it till now xD

I'm surprised out of Mario, Animal Crossing & Fire Emblem; Fire Emblem is the one people still play & talk about.
TanookiPlayer because the gameplay is actually good, strategy needed and i feel like that plays a big role, that and the game is very f2p friendly
Because mario costed $10, which no one was willing to pay, and animal crossing... actually, not sure about animal crossing
TanookiPlayer Mario run was to short and Animal crossing is boring as fuck
The9 TailedGamer animal crossing was just a half assed animal crossing game
TanookiPlayer I'm still surprised there isn't any merchandise from. Fire Emblem yet.
I'm glad I got into Heroes. If I hadn't played this game, I would have never gotten into the series. Also, the Heroes community is one of the best communities I've joined. I'm even happy I spent money on the game, even if my pulls were better with my F2P orbs. ^^;
Overall, I hope this game and this community keeps on going foward! :3
Cant agree more , p.s Nowi come home i accept any even a 1* ;-; .
So true!
Ren 3608 no Nowi for you!
kuramaredrose I do have Halloween Nowi ! I just want a dragon loli team ;-;

Why Fire Emblem Heroes didn't Die Yet?
12:16
there, saved you a lot of trouble lul.
I didn't watch most of the video, since he starts with a ridiculous claim - saying they're similar.
There's a more intuitive explanation; would you daily, for at least 1 year:
play a game by tapping the screen to collect some randomized character? and compete by doing some more tapping? -maybe
play a game constrained outside of your house, has to be played while you're moving around, including the competitive part? -no
Also, FEH has a lot more depth than PGO, though they also had their own weak start. So I assume PGO developed slowly after their loss of players.
Saved me a solid 12 minutes to hear what I already knew.
Just Someone PGO what is that?
Edit oh nevermind pokemon go.
Minh DT
It's Pokemon Grand Order - you go outside and catch historical waifus, and find singularities.
Or maybe it's just Fate with pokemon instead of human characters.
Just Someone Not gonna lie, I'd kill for a FGOxPokemon crossover.
Evilriku13 gambling isn't illegal in some places and also no,only greedy garbage humans sue for dumb reasons like this lol.
Evilriku13
Are you daft? FEH is far from illegal, the shitstorm that EA fomented has not changed any sort of law or legislation yet and even then FEH being owned by a japanese company means that there isn't much that the american legal system can do to stop their business practices.
And either way, FEH is the most fair gacha game in the market right now so only an idiot would aim to try shit by sueing it's makers when there are much bigger targets with significantly shittier business practices running around...I'm looking at you Gumi...
rotciv557 thank you lol,sad that some people are this idiotic.
RIP my chair.
Mangs no RIP all the corrins you killed
That was hilarious. 😂
Calvin Kim I think those precious *corrins* were more important than his *chair* XD

Well made and quite informative. I will love to see where FEH's future goes as well as still enjoy the game.
I like how this game is so f2p friendly
Gavin Goh yeah, mostly if you get lucky pulls (like me) but there are still great free heroes to get lol
nah its not
Sleeps Yes it is lol. A regular F2P player or a player who once in a while spends on orbs rarely meets whales in arenas. Also, the whales don’t affect the gameplay at all and majority of the average players are at a stable tier 18-19 in arena which means a constant 4 orbs rewards every week.
Sleeps not to mention every time there's a new content like TT VG or new banner u get free daily orbs.
👌
If Xenoblade Chronicles 2 made us pay for Core Crystals I would be homeless 😞
That's some real shit bro
Sol I love that game
Imagine if EA made Xenoblade 2...
Nun Yabusiness EA will succeed and got a lot of money.
MegaMaster1021 Ikr this game is bringing us all together lol
Aether Xander :csweat:
Strategistmaster Hey you found me! Lol
At least I promoted your Discord but seriously I love the server its so fun to chat with everybody!
can i probably join the server somehow? :3

I'd also tack on three smart moves by the devs, two of which are in stark contrast to the typical gacha game formula:
1) There's *always* a focus banner.
"chances of summoning some 5-star hero is always 6% at minimum"
Until you realize that not rolling a certain IV (like neutral or +atk on a brave weapon user) makes the unit trash-tier, and understand that the chances are actually way lower than that.
Unless you just roll for the character... but this game has so little detail to characters that there's really not much point to doing that either :c
I'll take my 1% FGO rates that give me well-detailed chars with unique character-only quests that expand on their personality, unique special moves and battle animations, and small but pleasant things like special interactions if you have another character significant to them in your roster.
Nothing to see here
If the battles aren't your cup of tea, the game likely holds nothing for you. I and many others _do_ find the battles very enjoyable. It's indeed unfortunate though that there isn't as much context depth to the characters as in F/GO, which alongside the story was easily my favorite part of the game. (Though admittedly it was also the only part I found worthwhile, but maybe that's the main draw of the game anyway.)
On the flip side of that though, the less content required to add a character to the game, the more characters can be added in a given timeframe, which allows more varied gameplay with new possible units _and_ new skills for existing units.
Oh, and on the 5-star summon chance thing:
Since the discussion here is more about keeping players hooked for the game's longevity rather than an in-depth analysis of its elements overall, the chances of summoning a 5-star that's actually useful is irrelevant. ^_^
So yeah, you're not wrong with the practical summon rate thing, but that's beside the point of this particular discussion.
Don't take this personally -- I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice:
Screw your boring-ass game and your opinion sucks.
I am usually brash when voicing my opinions (or so I've been told) so getting an answer that looks past the surface into the core is rare for me.
lol who wants a 5* Luke?

this is so well made..... brings a tear to my eye.
Agreed.
After playing Fire Emblem Heroes for weeks, I fell in love with the series and want every Fire Emblem game out there now. “I’m Addicted.”
When I saw Lucinda, Ike, Robin, and Marth I’m like “who the hell are they?” And grew to love them and so I downloaded Fire Emblem Heroes To love the franchise even more
Not "addicted" enough if you say Lucinda
palomasturbaz Oh I mean Lucina, autocorrect
Give Path of radiance a shot! Probably one of the best FE. I was also in the minority that really loved Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
JUST GIVE ME MICAIAH ALREADY!!!
I can relate to that
Ijat Munir I've got her😋
Rip she’s op
I want her too
One Free Summon on each banner, Rates raise as you summon, Banner Characters have higher chance of appearing, Ability to snipe your desired character thanks to color selection during summons, orbs are graciously given to you almost everyday, only one purchaseable pack and you never feel like you need to buy it, faithful to the original games gameplay, Characters that are lower than 5 stars are usefull and can be upgraded to 5 star if you with, Free to Play friendly.
LMAO YOU USED THE MANGS FALLING OUT OF HIS CHAIR CLIP
『Castafiore』 best mangs moment lmao
But how did that happend
he was happy
Jared Baly no it’s from his FE7 PME when he had one of his good units dodge a killing blow.
Two words: Marketing Strategies.
Victorious Viktor Four words: AWAKENING SAVED THE FRANCHISE kappa
9:58 Mangs dies
You forgot a little thing, back in the day, i wanted to buy fire emblem fates, but i didnt had money, i wanted to play a fire emblem game, fire emblem Heroes is free, if you want a fire emblem experience without having money, its perfect
ERROR 404 well the old FE can be simulate easily on PC and phone so you can also try it. FEH only misses one thing Crit&Miss.
Minh DT Crit and Miss would’ve been a major turn-off for non-fans of FEH. It needed to be casual and thank god it was.
Riper DT y'know, it's a funny thing. Because there is no miss/luck characters like Arthur are actually usable & viable when back in their own games THE DIRT THEY WALKED ON RECOILED IN DISGUST.
Also Mages can't complain about lucky crits anymore.
Great video. And also I love your magilou design.
Im glad you pointed out the great gui of the game. I was like wtf is this when trying fgo
lawrence Hoffman SAME fgo character art is cool so I gave it a try but I couldn't stand the rest of the graphics after five minutes
He didnt mention the fantastic music of FE though
same,i felt even more off when i compared with Madoka magia record and Fgo,
Its like a same game but with different character
Ayyyy Holland Casino
Also I saw that Ascension Beruka and the Ascension memes are some of the best stuff this game has created, never been a Fire Emblem player.
Angelo Jonsson Also gacha games can be 100% free to play
Alex Yen If you get the right pulls
Very interesting content. Definitely worth my sub :)
Started playing this game since release, finally got my 1st Hector today (LA Hector) ^w^ Also you just earned yourself a new subscriber :D
Book 8 exists now. FEH ain’t dying soon.
I'll have to admit, I got into FEH because of Bride Cordelia and Summer Robin...
Then stay'd for the solid gameplay, customization and challenge... and Summer Camilla, welp...
Let's just hope it won't die as fast as super villains app. cause that is how that villain app did that bad!
The game should NEVER end it's one of my favorite games of all
Feelings Sorry for you ...
I'm a bad ass at heros and I haven't spend a penny
kh critical player F2P FTW!
Same here yo, tier 19 almost 20 ftp player rocking armor emblem
I suck at this game and spent about $40 bucks. But I still enjoy it!
Jared Baly I don’t know what that has to do with anything lol
F2p for the win
I mean, FGO's been going for several years now.
I couldn't get into FGO, I downloaded it recently to see what it was about, and honestly, it was boring, and doesn't help that I don't recognize the majority of the characters.
in fgo, whales can help you
in feh, whales prejudice everyone
9:09 hello Dutch people...
(like the whole S+ Est meme)
reddit is cancer, you say one thing they don't like and they fucking harass you and become annoying little shits (i mean the website in general, just full of pretension shits)
the game itself i still can't wrap around how people like the game, i HATE how they force you to only be able to play X amount of games a day, effectively handicapping your progress without paying up and that doesn't take into the mediocre gathca system that is the ONLY WAY to get desired units and god forbid you're busy on the week they had the hero you wanted, you're basically fuck
i haven't really spoken or know anyone who actively plays FE H myself but playing it for the first month or two burnt me out real fucking quick and knowing my phone is bricked means all that progress is lost; i don't have any FE communities to go to myself so i'll just dump my story here i guess
4 Reasons why I still play FEH (and maybe these are the reasons other players still do, too):
01 Nostalgia: I'm a hardcore fan of the series, I played "Shadow dragon and the blade of light", "Gaiden", "Mistery of the emblem", "Genealogy of the Holy war" and I'm currently playing Thracia 776...
04 Tons of very fun updates: I'm dying to know what will be that new feature that we have in the Battle Menu...That Green Island at the left in the top of the screen *----*
Simply: Owning our favorite characters/Playing the game as we look at a beautifully designed background and characters/It's Fire FUC...ING Emblem/Lots of updates.
#FEHIsTheBestGame
Excellently explicative and intriguing video, Good Job my sir
I'm not one who plays FE Heroes (mainly because I down have a smartphone/I phone... either one) but this was definitely a good video, nice job dude
Added to the fact that the game gives you a lot
TL;DR: FEH is one of the most generous gachas out there
Yes, I agree with this video sooooo much.
Great video, gotta admit I kicked you up to x2 speed when watching this and I gotta admit, it's 2x better in content delivery and comedy :D
A solid counter to the "feh is dying" misconception that's flying around at the moment
I was gonna like this video anyway, but I love how you included a clip of Mangs' chair breaking XD
Well said, you covered many of the biggest plus points that are in the game, especially the fantastic UI xD I also completely agree that it's amazing how positive the FEH community is, somehow I feel like there's a lot less salt here than most online games I'm used to seeing haha
This video is great ! Please continue the good work ^_^
Generous, well thought out, ongoing, *ACTUAL SUPPORT*
Pokémon Go/Niantics dumbass done fucked up.
I am newer to Fire Emblem. First played Fates, then Awakening and currently Echoes. I plan on playing the older games too and many I want to try because of the app and thing X character is cool I wanna play his/her game
Nice vid. Well edited and well put together.
I still play because I need those sweet sweet jpegs of my waifus.
just pulled +atk/-spd LA!Hector..just had to tell somebody :P
Fire Mblem377 I pulled a Hector and LA Hector in the same banner with 9 orbs, ja! :v
Fire Mblem377 I’ve pulled two lol
I pulled a Camilla,
I hate this game
+Atk LA!Hector, aka "No Boyfriends Ever" Hector.
i discovered the game today (not discovered but actually with wanting to play the game) AND IM LOVING IT, didnt know its dying tho, so sad :c
FEH is the 1st FE I've ever played, and got me curious about what Awakening and Fates is. I was not disappointed when I played those 2 games
Wrong.
The feeling of having VL Ike will never fade away.
You should make videos more often. This was really well done.
Aww.... :(
Since 1.5 FEH stoppped working on my phone
Since then, I'm always keep updating the game with the hope that someday, it will work
I think that, besides gambling, the fact that you have all your favorite fire emblem units in the same game just makes the cute....
Spot on about everything. I love the FE series as a whole so thats a big reason why I play but I've definitely dropped money on this app too
One of the things I love about this game, as low odds as the gatcha is I yet to spend a single penny of actual money on this thing.
Kids and adults stealing their moms credit card thats how
Playing FE Heroes as I watch this video.
This was great. Got my sub my dude.
This was such a good video! Very interesting.
i got into fire heroes just last month i'm hooked but i'm more hooked on grineding , great way to unwind before and after work and some times on brake...some times
My thoughts on some more reasons:
1st) It has actual gameplay that rewards direct actions at no random risk.
You know why FEH hasn't died?
because it's a good game
If not for Fire Emblem heroes I wouldn't know that Felicia is best girl.
She was my first Hero 😍 (Other than Alfonse, Sharena, Anna)
idk, I loved FE:Warriors when I tried it out on a convention, wanted to play something FE after, not having any Nintendo products left me with one choice: Heroes.
This was very well made...AND very true. Now lets go play Tempest Trials!!!
It is fascinating that you can play the game whole without even spending a dime, it relys on nothing but play, the user only need to seek hours into the game, and be reward with fair drops, not to mention the array of different events in game that continue to feed as you have dubbed a "bomb-fire" it continues to burn as the game as created a simple but effective formula of
Story + events = Orbs = Summoning
That's my initial take on this series (fire emblem heroes) an amazing game.
I await real PvP
Can you make a remake of this video?
A good breakdown. I do agree that the very design and interface does play a factor. Although honestly I like how FGO set itself up as well.
Heroes was smart to stick to the gameplay and systems that make Fire Emblem what we know it to be. If they didn't then yeah I could have seen them having more problems.
Honestly the only thing that I don't love about FEH is the story side of it. The gameplay is solid and building/customizing is fun so that does somewhat make up for it. But partly why I like FGO a bit more.
I love the unique builds, awesome artwork and cute chibi sprites the game has.
Awasome video!
Very nice to know why the game lived this long, i was wondering about it for a while xD
Also if you ever make another heroes video, mind giving a shout-out to the FE heroes amino(on the amino app that is xD )?
- An FE heroes amino curator
Oh en hoi ander NL sprekend persoon xD
2:41 There are also hero battles and grand hero battles. (Though for the most part he's correct, but he said "The only way-".)
God damn that's a good video
When FEH first came out i was like "meh... another FE?" Because i'm not a fan of FE that time, but i give it a try a few months later since my friend reccomend it to me. And turns out i enjoyed it more than i thought. Still playing it till now xD
