RUclips suggested to me this video. So now you have a new subscriber. I’m a FedEx Ground delivery driver and I hope enroll at CDL school in a couple months.
The cascadias are some of the most reliable semis on the market, trust me from experience. The only semi ive driven more reliable than a freightliner cascadia is a Mack.
Enjoy your new truck, your new career I’ve just finished mine after45 years, enjoyed most of it.Oh,if you’re not sure of something don’t be afraid to ask.we all have to learn.Good luck stay safe.
I also live in Las Vegas I've been driving trucks 40 years 27 years in the Union 13 years local and over the road you said you're a rookie I would tell you to get your experience and get out of Swift I wouldn't work for any of these mega carriers they don't pay very good you go to a smaller company you will make more money and you're not just a number but me personally I would never work for Swift good luck
Only cause the truck is new doesn't mean it won't breakdown on your first week.. I know you a new driver, but i hope they train you in driving a 10 or 18 split shift.. So if you do breakdown an road service brings you out a manual truck hope you be able to drive it or you going to be down for a long time without making money.
You be surprised how some drivers exercise on the road . Some have full bench sets in their truck . I carry 2 adjustable dumbbells 100lbs each on my truck and a foldable bench strapped to the catwalk
If you want a real workout, go drive for Performance Foods, Sysco, or US Foods. You are unloading 15,000 lbs of freight a day and on average 15,000 steps. If the pallets are stacked wrong, then you could be touching that freight 3 times. It was just as physically challenging as USMC boot camp when i went through in 2002. I did flatbed and i liked it, but i really hated the tarps.
Going to driver qualifications Wednesday for swift. Gotta go out 1 month with a mentor after then getting my own truck.
Nice rig congrats! Hope you bought a new/decent mattress👍

4 months solo driving and Swift gives you a new 2023 truck?! Hmmm...in 2 more months, Swift will be making you a mentor next. LOL

I was sub 435, let's see some good videos.
This guy quit posting 2 months ago...
If you are given a new truck number # like 20006 then you look for 20006. Example
Really!? 😳
This world needs less of me and more smart people like you brother 🫡
I asked for info about swift since they offer to pay for the class A but they let me know that I’d be away from home for weeks is this how it works?
I’m regional brother, I’m home every week
I was still awake at the end of the video; did I win a prize? LOL!
Makes my new truck look rubbish 👍
You want a workout become a flatbed driver 💪✌️
Really considering it 🤔
