This run was played on hardest settings (difficulty 6, 2 spare lives) on an original Battletoads arcade pcb. I played using a Qanba Q2 stick and a Smallcab Deluxe supergun.
This is an incredibly good run with Zitz, with a final time far slower than I was expecting. Hahaha. Zitz is remarkably tricky to use, and loses a misleading amount of time all over compared to Rash. If you want to hear more, I recommend listening to the audio commentary.
This run was also streamed live on my Twitch channel, so if you're interested in watching the live run with commentary, you can find it here: / 214948289

I'm really enjoying your commentary. I wish you would upload more speed runs with commentary like Bionic Commando on the NES, Lagoon, Act Raiser 2, Brandish and other games you tend to speed run. Keep up the good work! Cheer!

Thanks! For all runs that I do from now on, I'll be uploading a copy with commentary to RUclips. For many of my older runs, I will likely not upload commentary. For the games you listed, I have improved all my runs of NES BioCom and will upload the improvements with commentary when I'm done improving them (so we don't have 10 runs of the same game here), ActRaiser 2 will be improved this year (but there's a copy with commentary on SpeedDemosArchive right now), and Brandish has been uploaded with commentary a few months ago.

Zitz super the worst? But it resembles the Tri-blade, the best weapon in all of video games. ;P

I only now realize there was Electronic Arts involved in this. No wonder they ran into "development issues".

I remember doing crazy exploitable nonsense in TMNT's arcade game. AKA the original Dive Kick simulator. And boy oh boy was that hard as is. This game always got me and on the hardest mode a few hits literally kill you. I"m curious though, do you wish this was completed? I hear they didn't finish the game but that also means more game to master and beat and sometimes the last levels are just quarter munchers. Also have you heard of the D&D games being released on Steam? Chronicles of Mystara contains two beat em ups I'd love to see you and Klaige play. First rule. No spellcaster. LOL.

Hahaha yea TMNT was definitely "dive kick: the game".
I definitely wish that this game was finished, but I cannot imagine how hard Dark Queen would be in this. Hahahaha. It would have taken me a LOT longer to get my 1cc's, but it would've been worth it I think. Really curious to know what they had in store for us.
I've seen the D&D games (I think I actually own them on Steam...), but I'm not terribly interested in playing them.

I just like to imagine that the battletoads game would be a nightmare after this. I mean Rare did do Snake Rattle N Roll, which as I recall went from nice and easy to "OH GOD WHY?!" in a matter of what? 3 stages? Definitely seeing that formula here...they didn't happen to have a hand in that horribly hard Turtles game did they?
From some of what I've seen those D&D beat em ups have a few exploits/glitches in them but mostly rely on technique and I've seen some impressive runs of them with TAS but no regular runs.
Now what I'm REALLY interested in is this remake and possible sequel of Lagoon. Yes Lagoon.
