1:31 I see curling leaves since the 2nd day of buying a plant. I watered it but still not recovering. I water only after the soil becomes slightly dry but not totally dry.
    Can you suggest?

I'm not sure! Are maybe leaves curly like this? A slight curl is normal, so it depends on how curled and how many leaves are affected, really. You're welcome to send me a photo over on my website if you want me to take a more detailed look.

Do you think that's possible that 3 young plants can just spring up in other pots with plants existing in them? Mine are evergreen no variegation and so I checked them on plantnet with a photo and hey presto! It came back as your plant. The thing is to my knowledge I've never bought this plant?

If you've had the existing plants for quite a while, and they’ve suddenly appeared, then I think it's pretty unlikely! If they're newish plants then it's possible they were in there ready to sprout from wherever you brought them from. You can post a photo on the article I linked to in the description if you want me to have a look.

I have had house plants for decades & usually have about 50 at a time. I have had two brasils die & a third is struggling. The leaves yellow, wither, soften & fall off. I tried rooting cuttings, but they did not grow, either. My most of my windows face south & north. My friend, who grows many house plants, also finds the brasil difficult.

Yellowing tends to be caused by over or underwatering, but it could also be from too much light (if it's getting too much direct sun). The final usual cause is Thrips (pest). Do you or your friend usually struggle with Philodendrons? Sometimes a species of plant just doesn't like our homes.

@@ourhouseplants Where to begin? I bought a Philodendron McColley's Finale in January of 2003, & it grew like crazy by the south window in my study, so much that I moved it into a larger pot. I loved it! Then the new leaves began to wither & drop off before they even unfurled. 13 months ago, I bought beautiful Monstera deliciosa in a 10" pot crammed full of stems. It thrived in my south-facing picture window until summer, when the edges of the leaves turned brown. Finally, I took it outside & cut most of the leaves off; now it is back indoors struggling. I bought a Philodendron Shangri-la 3-4 years ago. After a while in a south-facing window, the leaves all turned yellow & died. As a last resort, in spring, I moved it outside into my plastic greenhouse, which receives even more light & heat. It resurrected, so I moved it back into the house in the fall. Soon, the leaves turned yellow again & died. I put it back into the greenhouse in late summer, & it resurrected again! Back inside, it has several perfectly green leaves again, for now. My Philodendron Congo Rojo has done well for about 3 years growing big in the south picture window, but it produces only a few leaves a year. The leaves on my Philodendron White Knight & Pink Princess are suffering burns. Philodendron Imperial Majesty had grown some during several years. Philodendron Ring of Fire had a leaf or two wither & drop off, but it seems stable for now. Philodendron "Moonlight" was very small when I received it by mail, but it is healthy & growing slowly so far in my south-facing kitchen window with somewhat filtered light. My $40 Philodendron monstera deliciosa Thai Constellation has burns around its leaves, except for a furled new one.
