    I get lots of emails asking me to review products but I rarely take them up on the offer. Vanpowers sent me a new bike they'd designed called the City Vanture which looked really cool. Here's my review!
    vanpowers.bike/en-gb/products...
    Overall it's a great city commuter e-bike with a 50 mile range. I'm yet to discover whether it it up to bikepacking though, but I will be testing it out on a bikepacking trip next month - link will be posted here when finished!
    Have you ever been bikepacking with an e-bike?

    This is the second review I've watched of this bike. The other reviewer liked it too. It's got a classic look to it and definitely stands out.

    Absolutely gorgeous bike 😍 For someone wanting to commute by bike and avoid the sweaty mess coming into the office it would be perfect. Will be interesting to see how you get on bikepacking with it, it's going to be a bit like taking out a traditional "high Nelly" I fear 😱 😉🤣

      Yes it’s a good looking thing! Yeah I’ll be sticking to mainly roads for that one 😂

    Looks ideal for me nipping back and forwards to work (12 mile) plus I've always been a sucker for chrome 👍

      @Cycling366  5 месяцев назад +1

      No! I did have a trip planned but had to change plans and it’s fallen on the back burner now. I’ll take it out soon, been using it most days for commuting tbf!

      Yeah! Not a high end torque sensor but does the trickb

    Sorry, but a town or city bike without mudguards just doesn’t make sense in the UK.

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  Год назад +3

      That’s good then because you can easily install them!

      @@Cycling366 you said there weren’t any mounts? P-clips and cable ties aren’t a solution where a couple of bosses built into the frame would be a much more robust way to make the bike more versatile.

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  Год назад +3

      I wrote on the screen that it has no pannier mounts but it has mudguard mounts. I mistakenly said it didn’t have either. It only has mudguard mounts.

    Hi. First time I will disagree with you. I'm really sorry. Ebike is cheating. I don't like the idea of using eBike at all. For me cycling is a balance between human power and mind on one hand and bike and nature on another.
    I have an electric vehicle but I like proper bikes. However I wish you many views of eBike videos and enjoy. 👍

      So you are against someone old or infirm using them?

    • @Cycling366
      @Cycling366  Год назад +11

      I think cheating is the wrong word. If it’s a race then clearly it is cheating, but it’s just another option that enables others to tackle cycling who otherwise aren’t as fit or able to do so, then I’m all for it. For me, it allows me to take on longer commutes than might be deemed sensible, and allows me to get to town without using my car or getting into cycle specific clothing. Win win!

      @andyclough285 Год назад +7

      Cheating is a ridiculous statement. Spend time in Europe and you will see elderly people riding these bikes daily. If they keep people active then I’m sorry but the above statement is another example of bike snobbery.

      @@Cycling366 Hi, everyone has their opinion. Ordinary Bicycles are over 100 years old and the ebikes became popular few years ago. I know a lot elderly people, little kids and people with mobility problems they cycle ordinary bikes as much as they can. The distance is not important but the physical activity the exercising and the adventure. Ebike is generally heavier, more complicated and needs charging. It Makes you dependant from the technology and power sources. I belive that your channel aims to get us back to the nature. Wild camping, off road in the middle of nowhere. However I respect other people though but I don't accept them. 👍

      i didn't realize we were in competition but if we are, and an e bike is cheating, then i guess that means the guys on acoustic bikes are losing!
