I saw _Soul Surfer_ back middle school and it still touches me to this day. I've never forgotten what taught me about the power of determination and support from loved ones in the face of seemingly impossible odds.
I cried myself to sleep the night I watch Schindler's list and then when I woke up the next morning, I cried again. You will literally neve be the same after that movie.
‘42’ was indeed a good movie about the famous baseball player Jackie Robinson played by Chadwick Boseman, he literally did a very good job, may he rest in peace…
Hacksaw Ridge is easily the most inspiring war movie of all time and the fact that they left more stuff out bc no one would believe it is insane. Definitely deserves a mention on this list I’m kind of disappointed…
I didn't even watch the video because I alway read the comments before....and if they left this movie out is just so wrong....is one of the best based on real facts movie ever...🥰
Remember the Titans Erin Brockovich 42 Coach Carter Freedom Writers The Pursuit of Happiness Those movies are so good; gives me goosebumps every time I see them. They don’t make certain movies like on this list.
I really love the Christian movies based off real accounts. Wether you believe they actually happened or not, they do make for a thought provoking topic of how far can someone's belief in faith go. Heaven is For Real, Miracles From Heaven, and The Cabin all made me cry like a baby and I love them.
Schindler's list was heart wrenching. A true masterpiece! For me it's the greatest movie ever made. The rawness in some scenes was unbelievable. And the final scene where Oskar Schindler regrets his choices is one where i just couldn't sit still. my heart started pumping and I was completely swarmed by emotions.
Schindler's list was one of the most disturbing movies I have ever watched. You knew while watching it that as horrifying as some of the scenes were, it was not even close to the reality that actually happened. In my mind this movie should be a must watch for everyone.
For anyone looking for an inspiring movie based on a true story "Front of the Class" is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever watched! Recommend it 100%.
Fun fact about the movie, 42: Kelley Jakle, who played the nanny, is the great-granddaughter of Major League Baseball executive Branch Rickey, who was portrayed by Harrison Ford.
Definitely Hidden Figures and Apollo 13. Hidden Figures about the Women of NASA who helped the space program and Apollo 13 about how it takes an entire team, even those we don't notice (Mission Control and the Flight Directors) who worked behind the scenes to bring three men home from a hostile environment.

I have to admit I have only seen 2 of these movies. However I am surprised that some of my other favorites weren’t on the list. Hidden Figures, and Big Miracle. Those are definitely inspiring in my eyes.
also Hacksaw Ridge with Andrew Garfield, Eddie the eagle with Taron Egerton, Immitation Game & Louis Wain with Benedict Cumberbatch, Hunger with Michael Fassbender, the blind side with Sandra Bullock, Gold with Helen Mirren & Ryan Reynolds, Julie & Julia with Meryl Streep & Amy Adams, the soloist with Downey Jr & Jamie Foxx...
My all-time favorite real-life inspirational movie is Brian's Song! The movie is based on a chapter in Gale Sayers biography I Am Third depicting the special friendship between him and Brian Piccalo, the son of Italian immigrants. What makes their friendship special was the fact that Gale was while Brian was white. They met during their rookie season with the Chicago Bears during the 1960's when segregation was a big part of America south. The movie is a definite must-see! It has everything emotion imaginationable! It'll make you laugh and cry and everything in between.
Those are some great movies. I would include Harriet, Hacksaw Ridge, The Way Back (2010), Like Stars On Earth, Race, Chariots of Fire, McFarland USA, and a Beautiful Mind.
Remember the Titans is one of my favorite football movies next to Waterboy but remember the Titans will always be my number one favorite football movie because it is so good
We need a second one!! Some great picks! But there's still so many more! American sniper being one. I am glad one of absolute favs made the list. Remember the titans but there's still a lot that could have been mentioned
Interesting compilation, though movies often gloss over the "hero's" flaws. And most of these films are MEN in sports. What about the other Inspiring Stories? What about Awakenings?"
Some other ones I didn’t see in the clip or comments (though I only took the time read oh so many) that I would suggest. Miracle (about USA Olympic hockey team), We were Soldiers (Vietnam War), Blackhawk Down (Mogadishu incident), The highwaymen (Texas Rangers hunt down Bonnie and Clydie), Midway (battle of Midway), October Sky (Teen in a coal mining town decides he wants to go into space).
THE EMPEROR'S CLUB and IRONWILL are two very inspiring and well-acted films. The first explores morality on many different levels and its impact upon those we elect to office. This film might also have been titled: It's Never too Late to sat I'm Sorry. The second film emphasizes charity over personal ambition and how God will provide when we have given our whole being for what is right. IRONWILL accomplishes God's will.
Snowden and Jasper, Texas are also fantastic movies. Lou Gossett in Jasper was fantastic as were all the other actors including Angelina Jolie's dad, whose name I can't recall right now.
On the Basis of Sex forgot to mention that Sandra Day O’Connor was the first female Supreme Court Justice and Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the second female Supreme Court Justice in American History
Very very great epic list I like it a lot very very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever 😊 another great inspiring true story movie is when the game stands tall 😊
Some of these are good to fantastic. Unplanned, Unbroken, Megan Leavey, Unbroken: Path To Redemption, Hacksaw Ridge, Selena and many others belong here too.
Murder in the first with Kevin Bacon being beaten in Alcatraz should be ahead the sports ones, harrowing story. Gifted hands was another great story. Hidden figures and Best of Enemies
I saw _Soul Surfer_ back middle school and it still touches me to this day. I've never forgotten what taught me about the power of determination and support from loved ones in the face of seemingly impossible odds.
“Just remember kid, heroes get remembered. But legends never die. Follow your heart and you’ll never go wrong.” -Babe Ruth (The Sandlot).
The Sandlot is a classic, I love it
I cried myself to sleep the night I watch Schindler's list and then when I woke up the next morning, I cried again. You will literally neve be the same after that movie.
I did that when I watched passion of Crist .

For me it's 42 because Chadwick Boseman captured the spirit of Jackie Robinson beautifully.
I wish Chadwick was still alive.
R.I.P to both of them.
@@coolgameboy8077 He also portrayed Floyd Little.
His best movie imo.
Hidden Figures should have had a place on this list. One of my all time favourite movies!
I agree. That was one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life.
Absolutely 💯🎯!
I really love the Christian movies based off real accounts. Wether you believe they actually happened or not, they do make for a thought provoking topic of how far can someone's belief in faith go.
Heaven is For Real, Miracles From Heaven, and The Cabin all made me cry like a baby and I love them.
‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ was also pretty good.
Will Smith did a great job as both co-producer and actor (who became Oscar-nominated in 2007).
But the real man it is based on 😨😨

Stories based on true stories are the best!
Patton, Papillon, The Man Who Would Be King, The Turning Point, Julia were the five greatest films were based on true stories are simply the best!
Rudy, Erin Brockovich, Soul Surfer and Schindler's list (can't watch it anymore because I cry throughout the whole movie).

I saw "Remember the Titans" at school, and it really spoke to me. I had no idea it was based on a true story until I was told it was.
It really is a great movie
Fun fact about the movie, 42:
Kelley Jakle, who played the nanny, is the great-granddaughter of Major League Baseball executive Branch Rickey, who was portrayed by Harrison Ford.
These are good ones, but I would have included Hidden Figures, Apollo 13, Seabiscuit, and Memphis Belle.

American Sniper is a disgusting movie and that man will be going straight to hell for killing children.
There was another movie that was based on a true story, homeless to Harvard, the story of Liz Murray
Great list, though I would argue Hacksaw Ridge definitely should have earned a spot in the top 5... maybe in a follow-up list!
I have to admit I have only seen 2 of these movies. However I am surprised that some of my other favorites weren’t on the list. Hidden Figures, and Big Miracle. Those are definitely inspiring in my eyes.

As usual, you missed so many. How about Stand and Deliver, Selena, Serpico, JFK, and the epic musical, The Sound of Music, to name just a few?
Stand and Deliver should be on the list. I watched it twice a year in high school cause all my math teachers had the same idea 😂
I agree with you.
I used to hate my name, but then I saw Erin Brockovich and I felt proud to have it.
Hidden Figures - a glaring omission.
The most inspiring movies for me are: "Soul surfer", "The Theory of everything" and "Pursuit of happiness".
My all-time favorite real-life inspirational movie is Brian's Song! 'Something the Lord Made', 'Hidden Figures', The Story of Helen Keller, Erin ? With Julia Roberts are a few of my fav. There are others.

One that tops all these is "A million miles away" such a inspirational movie none of these mentioned come close
The boy who harnessed the wind is very good
Soul Surfer and The Freedom Writers are such good movies!!
'Official Secrets' is a great movie based on true events relating to the war in Iraq.
I'd move a couple football teams to honorable mention, and put "Hidden Figures on the list. Never saw the one a RBG, might look it up one day.
Remember the Titans is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time.
One of my favorite true life movies is 'Lion'
OK Hacksaw Ridge should've been on this list somewhere

I think 'Glory' should be on this list.
Where is Glory? I think the story of an all-Black regiment shuld be worth it.
I would’ve included Eddie the Eagle at least in honorable mentions
Miracle, The Rookie both are great movies of overcoming tremendous odds.

Eddie the eagle a not so well known movie definitely deserves a mention

"Invictus"👍
"My left foot"👍
"Capernaum"👍
I liked watching Schindlers list, the theory of Everything, and Erin Brockovich. ❤
Damn what about The Blind Side?! Cmon not even a honorable mention?!
“Hoosiers”, it doesn’t happen often, but sometimes the least likely are the winners!
Glory belongs on this list.
