Aww, Ian found a jortfriend! You just can't get a nice ancient seatbelt PIF reference on anyone else's VR coverage. This looks okay but I think it might have been better with a more interactive environment & some more movement from the arenas themselves, like walls collapsing & forcing you to move along or areas getting flooded; something like that. It's a bit too shooting gallery for my taste.
This looked fun but stressful! Very cool to get the chance to experience this kind of space, as most people don't have a gaming space this size at home. I wonder if it felt like a true vr experience without the chance/risk of Titch coming along and giving him a fright or trying to trip him up? Thanks for doing this Ian, particularly in the hot sweaty weather!
I would totally go to this place and play in VR. I don't have much of an interest in at-home VR beyond one or two games, but the IRL experience looks like a lot of fun.
Johno is a great wing man. Anyhow. Like many people, I wonder how much it costs to go to an arcade like this, what are its limits for party size, and if it’s a viable business model?

I was wondering if the game was beatable within the 30 minute session time limit and it turns out it is. That's cool. I see you could self-revive but do you know if it's possible to actually get a death screen? Does both players have to die together? Or is it basically god mode? Hopefully you can do more of these with other games in the future!
I don't think there's a game over - you get scored for deaths at the end. It's kind of like a super interactive theme park ride mixed with laser quest in a way, so you experience the whole thing and also get scored on your performance.
That looks both intense, and immense fun. I definitely think a half-hour of that would be enough for most people and I can understand you sweating like that. Also, Ian, it's nice to finally see you in a room with padded walls. ;-)
The enemies don't wear all red or yellow clothes, my immersion is ruined. I just want a full remake of Far Cry 3 with modern Far Cry graphics, because I think Far Cry 3 doesn't hold up graphicly. Ever since the game released I thought it looked weird. Anyway, I'm still looking forward to Far Cry 6 and it's Season Pass.
Question: if there was a rock in the middle of area, can you technically walk through it? Because if it didn't let you walk through it the map space would get skewed?
Thanks for trying it out. Seems like a pretty basic shooting range gameplay wise. I'll stick to my home vr experiences but I imagine this would easily get a newbie hooked on vr.
Is VR really that jittery when you’re wearing the headset? That would give me motion sickness almost instantly if there’s no stabilisation of some description
Nah, it's nowhere near that jittery in the headset, because your body is moving with it. I was actually surprised by how jittery this footage looked because it was totally smooth in the real thing.
@@eurogamer too bad most people can't experience as it requires a VR center which most places don't have & there not very local either. no wonder VR is still lagging behind because games like this act like you can only experience it in a VR center which isn't 100% true it's just what they say goes regardless, but this will be a forgotten cheap project since it requires VR center. just so pathetic they even tried to remake Far Cry 3 world for VR too cheap to try something new same ubisoft Far Cry 6 DLC has Vaas, Pagan Min & Joseph Seed return, ubisoft is running out of ideas & milking a cow out of Far Cry.
This looks like a lot of fun! And also quite fascinating to see how they scaled the experience up to fit the room. Co-op, on rails shooters have come a long way since the days of crowding around a CRT with light guns at an arcade!

When I was in the elevator I stepted out of it and flloated in the air with the waterfalls under me 😂. It was amazing like flying.
