I agree Tony, the log lift and conveyor had me hooked from the start and then the working height (waste level) pushed me over for the win. Considering I have a glacier like Chris’s old splitter, the vertical splitters are the bees knees. lol.
@FirewoodInTheField I have run multiple vertical splitters. There will be a video of a different one set for this Wednesday morning. They all work great and have many differences.
Good morning guys, I love seeing how great you brothers (and Gavin when he's available) work together so seamlessly thru the jobs. It does my heart good to see the teamwork in action to produce real sized firewood for your boiler. One suggestion however - get rid of the term "nasty" wood and find a different descriptive term for odd sized, gnarly, irregular pieces. Except for that one irritant, I'm really enjoying you new channel and watching your development as creators. All the best to you all
Looks like a sweet splitter. The more wood I do the more impatient I get and looking to replace my ULTRA for something like a Eastonmade 24D or Wolferidge 28SHO that can spit out a bunch of wood in one push.
That elevator gets any harder work that's going to be half inch plate steel down there at the hopper. Looks like good weather guys. I'll take it for another 4 months. Kenny from Western North Carolina
That was my first realization when I bought my first commercial splitter. How do I get rid of all this wood? This season, I'm going to work on a better way to supply the splitter. Been using a dump trailer which which works, but I think I'm going to try some roller tables out of the dump trailer.
Nice Vid... my wood stove like ur boiler Just want some good heat while I watch a streaming movie then 1AM reload...lp for kitchen stove---life is good
Hi. We talked to you at firewood frenzy. We were wondering how to get ahold of you. Dad has a dump trailer full of unmanageable wood. Usually crotch pieces. Can drop off this week. Let us know if you want them thanks.
There are a few on the list. We have a few others that we are trying out now. Verticals are nice for precise splits, but horizontals have higher production.
Now you know why I love vertical splitters! You boys look like you were having fun! 👍TCT
If you make it fun its not work.

@@BertsCustomCutsNailed it 👍🏻👍🏻
@@crazyman3157 Totally agree!TCT
Thanks for giving her a try and thanks so much for sharing!
You are so welcome! It was fun to run and see the difference between them.
That is my dream-splitter!! Someday I will get one of those when my firewood business gets big enough.

Nice work Bert and Adam.
Thanks Jason

An attached conveyor would be better.
That’s a really nice splitter, Bert 👍🏼. Great team work from the both of you.
Thanks.
Bert, just like 👍 smooth sailing with the boiler wood 🪵 😮😊❤
Now I just need to get time to put in the woodshed for winter.
Lookin good fellas!
Thanks. There's more good stuff to come.
Best work/fun job splitting firewood & bonus a friend to help you!
Extra help makes it more fun and enjoyable
Seemed to go well with the ugly wood.
I guess it’s getting used to it😊
It's amazing how well this team works. This video shows less talk, more walk . This workstyle is also safer ergo more productive. Good job, guys.😊😊😊😊😊
It works great. Like anything, the more you use it, the better it is.
Nice work. I've wasted too much time watching the video and not working myself. Cheers.
You can aleays come back and watch when you take a break

The more wedges, the more trash you get. Single wedge still makes the least trash.
Nice video Bert, good teamwork too! That conveyor certainly helps the process quite a bit. See you at Bunyan!
Can't wait for Bunyan. I feel a conveyor is a must-have.
I haven't used one yet, but I really like the idea and function of a vertical splitter 😊 Good video 👍
Verticals are nice for making precise splits.

Im looking forward to cooler weather.
Good teamwork made for a good video.
Extra hands are always nice.
Alright, I definitely need to add an elevator to my operation!
It makes a big difference and saves your arms.

Good day in the woodyard my friends
It sure was.
working together is important, the 17vs did a good job with that nasty pieces of wood,
It did well. It did struggle with some of the nasty stuff

Nothing better than wood heat.
As usual, great team work. Know that you get asked this all the time. About how much wood did you process in that video?
I think we did about 1.5cord.
You going to get Chris to get a vertical splitter. It sure would come in handy with a built on conveyor
If I would buy one, the conveyor would be a must.

What brand of splitter would you buy? I know that wolfe ridge is on loan.
