Learning that Alice stuffs her dolls with gunpowder is a experience I cannot describe. The leap from magician and puppeteer, to explosive technician with kamikaze dolls has me smiling everytime I recall it.
Yeah! I first heard about this about her dialogue with marisa in SA on Stage 5 was it? But yeah it's so surprising

Shanghai:"No pain means no gain."

The whole thing about blundering stage 1 and immediately resetting the run hits a little too close to home
Ikr , if I even lose a single life on anything before stage 4 then I reset. 😂

Which is to say about 90% of my runs end before I reach Mokou when I first started running TH8 Extra

But its not effecient to keep resetting before stage 4 when you die once lol. Best to just let the run carry on
@@blackavar323 when it comes to the older games I don't know why I just hate losing a life before stage 4. I like to have a good amount of lives so yea. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. But I don't do this in newer touhou game though.

Yeah... that whole Letty sequence is too accurate. I get hit by one of the wind danmaku and just reset because it's stage 1. And if it's not this on PCB, it's IN's Wriggle dropkick.
Mush's animations in between the gameplay is damn cool.
You know, when you're not playing you can really appriciate how pretty and well thoughtout from a gameplay standpoint these spellcards can be.
The Prismriver sisters are probably my favorite all-round.

Capturing resurrection butterfly *just* to add the detail of Yuyuko nicking off your lives is cool as hell. And that post-credits scene... well it's a bit of a bittersweet one.
I didn't expect to capture that spellcard lol.
It just happened.. and it gave me the chance to create the best part of the video haha.

Poor Alice.. to be fair, she's actually in a lot of games if you include fighting games compared to most characters who only get a few reappearances. Heck, there are only 2 games that have character pairs for shot types and she's in both of them.

I happen not to like pcb that much but i wanna say that i love how much Zun improved from EoSD, it seems to me that zun was going for more beautiful looking patterns and a nicer aesthetic which in my opinion the game succeds. Something else that i love about this game is that the game is very balanced with the shot type difficulty, its not like in modern games where if you choose certain character the game is hell (at least in lunatic and sometimes in hard), in this game you can have a pretty nice time with anything you pick and the game gives you lots of bombs and stuff.

Am I literally the only one who favors SakuyaA? Unfocused, she has a wide shot that's good at wiping put small fry, and her bomb clears the screen. Focused, her shot is aimed, and is great for taking out bosses, her bomb being a had focus on the main target. Plus, she can bomb a whole lot, per life.

This was an absolutely fun 36 minutes to sit down and watch with my coffee and cup of milk, it's funny that you add so many jokes and memes that oddly are very accurate to the Touhou characters as a whole. A great anniversary video to celebrate Perfect Cherry Blossom, despite the fact I still need to play the official bullet hell games.
One of the greatest videogame sequels if you're considering Touhou's Windows Era as a separate series!

Realistically though, i think PCB was a pretty good transition after EoSD, especially considering that your hitbox is _actually visible_ in focus mode in PCB whereas it's not in EoSD.
I played a lot of PCB back when I first got into Touhou, so I really like it and its soundtrack is great too, just like all other Touhou music haha

PCB has the longest stage(stage 4) in all STG, and that honor belongs to Lily White`s theme, which is my favouite theme in PCB.
And Crino in PCB`s archive is classified as a youkai, she will officially be a fairy and a baka in PFV

perfect cherry blossom felt like an actual windows game. idk bout you but i see touhou 6 as like the pc 98 of windows. i mean, the stage titles, the boss bar that says enemy instead of the actual name, no *hitbox* , in fact in early development there wasnt going to be a number display for power. pcb actually feels like a refresh of touhou. plus i like pcb better than eosd

11:35 tbf Yukari is among the most important characters and yet appeared in more or less the exact same mainline games in the exact same way... frankly the non-mainline games and the manga are better "measures" of importance/relevancy.
also in the games, it was Reimu who broke the barrier(Yukari weakened it before the game)... but you were probably already aware.
