- When going through a very rough period of league races recently, I arrive at France for round 10 of TSRL. A track I love to drive, I was looking to shift the momentum back in my fight for the championship.

The game decided jd was too op the first few races
Imagine getting tapped in 1st lap, losing 10 seconds because of it and getting held in pits for 3 seconds and losing more because of it..
Still coming home with P3 only 4,5 seconds of the leader and behind the guy, who tapped you.
Your driving and determination are so motivating and I really like watching you..
I watched the race in live, but now with the commentary, i feel like i'm watching a totally different race

i remember people in th e live stream chat adamant he sbinalla'd on his own and that i was wrong for saying he got tapped from behind
I did watch this "push from behind" on 0.25 speed, and there was no red arrows.
But i can clearly see that JD went full throttle and caught a wheelspin.
I personally think he spun it (on his own) tbh. The footage from Martin pretty much confirmed this, but JD doesn't want to accept it (JD lost it at about 6:05-6:07 from Martin's POV, Dom was like a quarter of a car behind him). JD was forced to take a line for which getting good traction out of the corners is much more difficult and lost it. If you take that corner too sharp, your chances of spinning out increase significantly, if you're not too careful with the throttle and hit the throttle as if you took the wider line (JD probably knows this better than me...lol).
And probably the reason why Dom doesn't have any footage to "prove his innocence" is because he probably didn't think he needed any, since to him it was probably pretty clear that he didn't touch JD. There were indeed no red arrows when he got "hit" (only a red arrow for JxkeyB who he was side-by-side with), which should be a dead giveaway that no one touched him. If someone gets that close to you that he hits you, the game will most definitely show a red arrow just before contact.
So, either JD spun it on his own or the game messed him up (desync or something), but no "real" contact from Dom imo.

I don't comment much but mate, what a drive. Great composure in the face of ongoing bad luck and frustration. Those are the sort of efforts that win titles. Stay cool, keep pushing!

imagine being in this level of racing and getting 9 seconds of penalties....
It happens. All of these drivers are always pushing the very very limits of the track, so it isn’t surprising that they may go slightly over occasionally. Just because you are quick doesn’t mean you are consistent.
Doesn’t help with the inconsistency with the track limits this game. Strict is too harsh at some corners and easy on the others. If we use regular it’s way too easy to cut corners. Until codies don’t make a proper track limits that applies for all corners I won’t rest easy with this game.
P.S. In my own league races I tend to see that the track limit warnings get more easier to get after you get your first one.
And not driving with cockpit cam.

If he touched you (and I think he did), he deserves something like 5 seconds penalty. It wasn't a very big mistake, but still ruined your race actually.

Absolute masterclass of a recovery drive
That was one hell of a comeback drive! Well deserved podium with that race craft and consistent pace, just shows never giving up will eventually always pay off!

if i was in his Situation there, getting spun in the first lap, getting Held up in Pit, being forced to use all ERS on someone who wasn't Fighting for Position and then recieving an unfitting Safety Car, i would done either of this:

someone else: * quits the session *
me: *_"FLASHBACK!"_*
my Friends: "you can't Flashback in online races"
me: * uses a Flashback *
my Friends: "..."
Those races challenge your character and reward to keep on going. A very nice comeback

Tried watching this stream but couldn’t do it haha way too much stress! Well done man, great to see you performing like this even with setbacks. Watched the WTF1 podcast with Jenson Button and he spoke about the reasons why Lewis could carve through the cars in Italy but Valtteri got stuck behind one the entire race. This was similar, VRTDom was Valtteri in this case and you were Lewis. Jenson said it’s a mental game, Lewis (you) always had his eye on the win whereas Valtteri (VRT) couldn’t reset after the incident in the first lap. The fact that he spun you out but you ended the race in his gear box shows which of you had the right attitude. Well done mate. I’ll be seeing you in a race sometime soon.

what was the setup you were using? I only saw the aero you used, and I paired that with the Time trial setup but my tires keep getting overheated. Did you have this problem too or were you using something different?
