In the other Woody Flick entitled "BROADWAY DANNY ROSE",I loved the Thanksgiving dinner scene with all the liquor on a card table and Woody popping out the Swanson TV turkey dinners out of the oven.Barney Dunn adds,"Almost like the real thing.Who's your f-f-f-f-GUEST?
My family is Protestant but I have to say when we're at the dinner table we resemble the Jewish family more than the Christian family. Stuffing our faces, loudly talking about health problems, badmouthing lazy deadbeats in the family, etc.
I'm afraid you might have missed my joke. :) maybe it's just because I'm not american, but a 'food in film' class seems a tad ridiculous, so I asked if you went to the fictional Greendale college from the tv-show 'community' as it is known to have weird classes. :)
Two things I don't understand about this scene: Firstly, what is it about the phrase "dynamite" that tips off to Grammy that he's Jewish? Lol Or is it just everything he says that sounds Jewish to her? Secondly, I don't get the lobster bib joke at all. And apparently neither did anyone else at the table lol
"Firstly, what is it about the phrase "dynamite" that tips off to Grammy that he's Jewish?" It's funny because he's never had a baked ham before and wouldn't know what makes it good -- anymore than a non Jew would know how to complement the dishes in a kosher meal.
I'm taking a food in film class and this is one of the scenes I have to watch. We then have to write a 3-4 page essay on it xD
"His Wife Has Diabetes!" is going on my headstone.
Colleen Dewhurst in an unforgettable cameo !!!
Just me who thinks that the slightest of lift of the eyebrows in 0:58 is what makes it hilarious?
I lost it at "the old woman at the end of the table is a classic jew hater" LOL

sounds interesting! must lead to a lot of out of the box thinking and serendipitous learning.
Oh god 0:55 kills me every time
The reaction of the old woman cracks me up. Christopher Walken is the brother. Woody is under appreciated.
no, he isn't. he is a pedophile, He is lucky to be out of jail. He is. His victims aren't.
WALKINS, BIATCH

Yep, that's my family! DIABETES???
not the full scene
Watch a funny short film on RUclips, just type in 'Sarah Ryan Deluded' You will either hate it or like it.
oh lol well yep it's a real class and was meant to be a more enjoyable fun class than that of serious and required class.
do you happen to go to greendale community college?
@RadarKat73080 No. JEW?
@shahoney me too! lol
This isn't the FULL Easter dinner scene. You cut the part where Annie's family interacts with Alvies!

I think I prefer the Jewish family to Annie's family
No I don't! Sorry.
A classic Jew hater, ha ha! Love Woody's humour.

He says its Dynamite Ham, she thinks to herself. "Ham? But he's jewish? He must be lying"
