- So I decided to add something totally new, and I used one of my role models for a vocal range video, bcuz k-pop singers just lack this sort of recognition...btw, songs used include Memory, In Dreams (꿈에), Fall In Love (달), Reflections (내안의 나를), Eternal Memory, 편지할께요(I'll Write you a letter), The First Noel and P.S. I Love You

Her head voice is so good. I love the ease, the support, the resonance she has up in the stratosphere.
I think Lena belted some G5s in her live performances of "I'll Write You A Letter!" :D
well she is kinda good, it's just her voice is very VERY light and she does all that gritty stuff to it to add her edge and whatnot, some might not appreciate it and well above I think..lemme check, well she's good up until like C#5 and D5, then Eb5's get kinda scary and above that it's kinda shrieky lol but I love her either way and she has an amazing head voice and her lower chest is also quite good for how light her voice is, so overall she is like good but her mix is uh lol who u be tho? ._.
@TanTzuKuang good point, I mean, Ryeowook can sing high easily, but he has a high voice, but then we have K.Will, he has a normal male tone, not high, just a tenor, he can hit Eb5 with chest voice, I saw him singing My Heart Will Go On, it was amazing, he's got quite a range

I wish you should've made each samples longer for us to appreciate it more. Good compilation though :)
소향이 대단한건 사실입니다. 가스펠 적인 창법으로 두성으로 C6 소리 내는 건 일반 가수들 중에서 본 적이 없습니다. 진성 테크닉 최강자 이지만, 박정현은 노래에 기교를 사용하는 재능을 가졌습니다. 이건 국내에선 처음보는 능력이고, 음역대에 맞춰 노래에 적절한 음을 쓰는것도 놀랍습니다. 목소리를 활용하는 그 능력에 박수를 보냅니다.
@TanTzuKuang depends if you are pushing and it's out of your range, I mean, if you do it too much, it can hurt you, but if it's not uncomfortable, then no problem...you know SM The Ballad's Hot Times, all of them keep hitting B4's on that song, all the time...

well, head voice, can sound really pretty and if you are singing R&B, it fits even if it's super high, like when he sings D5's in Nothing Better, it sounds so soft and easy for him

@TanTzuKuang It's a good thing, bucz if you sing high and it sounds too high, it's bad....but I think it's bcuz they sing with head voice/falsetto/mixed voice....so it sounds like a woman, or like an opera singer, I mean, Changmin hits high notes, he still sounds like a man, but it's mixed voice...Jonghyun's is chest voice, so it sounds manlier...
@TanTzuKuang yeap, Nothing better is indeed a hard song, You have to go down to Bb, up to F and then D in head voice, it's hard bcuz when u sing head voice, u have to loosen and relax ur throat, it's hard to get used to that

@KitsuneMale Plus his voice is not like girlish in anyway O_O is very unusual to have a voice that is manly with high notes o_o I should check out the ost.

Hy that was really good I think you're right there's not enough video like that showing kpop singers vocal ability.
Can you make other videos like that with idols please I would like to know their range too.

I don't really see a point in doing her vocal range since there are so many videos of her range out there with the same notes over and over again, i'd rather do a video for a singer whose range hasn't been fully covered instead of someone who has many videos, plus I don't have enough mariah carey songs to use as references
@TanTzuKuang LOL omg, I know, I want to do Tiffany, Jessica, Onew and Jonghyun as well!, you know his latest OST solo? He sang A2 and C5 in chest voice, I'm like, srly, who has this type of broad range? haha, I will within this week

But like theres some other male singers who sing really high notes. But sound nothing like a man o_o.

@TanTzuKuang Wow, but thats good enough, C5 is way too high, he can hit G5, iv seen it before, but it was falsetto.....I can barely do my G#4 right, but I can get A4 too....lol.....I can go up to G5 too though with falsetto

@KitsuneMale Oh nothing better is hard cause like LOL i have husky voice so i fail at that song D:. Sadly for husky singers head voice is hard

Yeap a lot of high note singers use mix voice O_O and yeah if you use head voice or falsetto it sounds bad o_o. Hitting high notes with head voice is not that hard. Its an awesome thing =) LOL i love that you keep replying.
