Eric - I’ve read a number of your books and listen to you frequently, always finding value, encouragement, and challenge. I enjoyed listening to this and went to learn more about Matthew Henry. In doing so it seems that your guests facts are very incorrect. It was stated that Henry started working on his commentaries in 1640. The information I find in several places state that he was born in 1662. Furthermore it was stated that he was a layperson and followed in his father’s footsteps as a tradesman; in his case a blacksmith. As a retired carpenter I loved this. However, all the sources I found stated that both Henry and his father were full time clergymen. None of this detracts from the value of Henry’s work and I’m sure there is some value in Mr. Wings writing however this apparent factual fallacy in his presentation would leave me suspect. Any clarification that would help in understanding this would be valuable. Thank you.
If memory serves right my first "Biblical commentary was " The complete Bible commentary " by "Matthew Henry." Enjoyed your guest, his spirit, and the interview. Covenant Blessings to you both.
I'm of Reformed faith, and totally agree with you on living the Grace that God has given us. All the acts of kindness and love towards others must be the work of the Holy Spirit through us, making us more like Christ; otherwise they are only works.
Why? Always found Henry's commentaries interesting. My understanding of Romans 11 is, simply put, God is not finished with Israel. The Church has not replaced Israel. Does Henry suggest otherwise?
They need different avenue than TBN. The amount of "prosperity " teachers on this TBN channel is disappointing. I guess these guys need to go somewhere but it's not a good look for them to be associated with TBN. If you have to ask why then your not paying attention to what some of these preachers on TBN are preaching. I keep thinking what fellowship does light have with darkness? It's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
Christians will always find a way to worship. They have in the past & those who love the Lord will continue to do so. They are unstoppable.

I agree. I thought the same thing.
Agree,
TBN will most likely get rid of metaxas when it starts costing them financially
@@drewwilson6639Metaxas is all about Metaxas. Self worship.
