I like Jeff Hamilton so much more than Buddy Rich because he BECOMES the music rather than ATTACKS it. I can listen to Jeff with his trio, quartet and big bands all day. I can only listen to Buddy for about 5 minutes.
Jeff continues to be my favorite living drummer. He carries the spirits of Big Sid Catlett, Papa Jo Jones, Joe Morello and so many more before him.

@@caferrara Regardless of Jeff's opinion on Buddy, I would still much rather listen to Jeff, Joe Morello or Papa Jo Jones than Buddy Rich. to me, (not to everyone) they're musical and make me smile. Buddy is military artillery and while technically fantastic, not pleasant to listen to.

amazing performance as usual from Jeff, band played great too, but sadly, the audio mix is awful, it ruins the whole thing.
Jeff needs to slim down and dye his hair. No more processed foods. Fasting once per week for a day. Get 'er done.
I like the white hair! Dieting is never a bad thing though...Health wise....
Lovely band, but awful audio. Always better to employ an able-hearing person on the mixing desk.
Also, it's a bit slow. Buddy's pace was much more compelling.
