He was doing an autograph session. And Eddie overheard me tell my wife i had a headache. In classic Eddie fashion he signed my photo stood up and put his hand on my head and in Spanish said a old comedic spanish prayer. Then he shook my hand. He was a class act. RIP Latino Heat

I hate that shortly before his death he thought he was letting people down. He was the best of smackdown. Extremely funny, skilled wrestler, and always dripping with personality no matter the pain he was in. He started as a man battling his demons. He left as a legend. RIP you truly will be missed Eddie.

Eddie Guerrero’s story sounds a lot similar to Brian Pillman’s case. Two wrestlers underestimated by the company and having serious drug problems that resulted in their deaths. Even though Eddie eventually stopped doing drugs I think the damage was already done and that’s what eventually lead to his death. Pretty ironic WrestleLamia would do a Behind The TitanTron story on Eddie right after doing one on Pillman.

I bought his "im your papi" shirt while I was there and wore it until it fell apart basically. That chair shot echoed so loudly and I can still hear it when I think about it. The Early deaths of all the amazing professional wrestlers is truly sad. Eddie was one of the most talented and underrated superstars of his time and possibly the history of professional wrestling. One death that hit me hard was Bam Bam Bigelow just because I always rooted for him. While some saw him as one-dimensional, I felt like he could have been pushed harder and his promos were spot on. For his size and weight, he was incredibly nimble and quick. Lastly, RIP Eddie and Godspeed to his family and friends.
