I used to think this but then I realized I was an adult who could talk to my parents and have a discussion about boundaries now that I’m an adult. Now, dad calls or texts ahead of time before coming over even when he’s just 10 minutes away, and I do the same when I visit. Mom calls ahead to plan and schedule visits, and i do the same. Life happens, you get more priorities and obligations, and eventually “pop ins” and “dropped by” become inefficient.
The 4 actors who portrayed their parents were so good in their roles. It's sad they're all gone. How time has gone by so quickly
