    The scene with Jerry getting directions from his dad is so familiar and spot on! I can remember many times, visiting older relatives in their cities, sitting at a table, getting directions to get where I was going.

    Liz Sheridan's portrayal of the Jewish mother is so damn accurate, it reminds me of my own mother. Things like "what do you have to go underwater for? What's down there that's so special?" and "What do you have to go scuba diving for?" - "for fun" - "for fun?!"... It's gold Jerry, gold!

    We just lost both Liz Sheridan and Estelle Harris last month, so this was good to see. They both lived to the ripe old age of 93.

    The stereotype about old folks eating dinner at like 430 is totally true. My grandparents literally set the table for dinner right after lunch. You could walk into the house at like 2 and it looks like dinner could be served at any moment lol

    I completely get where Elaine is coming from. I once had to drive with my grandmother two hours to visit her parents' graves. Middle of July and she wouldn't put the air on. I almost passed out.

    I always love the attention to detail the show displayed throughout the years. The AC episode and later you see Jerry mother put on a coat in the Cadillac episode.

    These were so on point…It brings back such beautiful memories of my parents and visits to FLA. The early bird, the couch with the bar, implicit driving instructions. ( No left turns) 😅😅😅😅 oh how I wish this could happen again.

    I never properly understood the heater thing until I got older, moved out, then came back to visit my parents...apparently something happens once you hit 70 where if the temperature in your house dips below 95 degrees, you'll freeze to death (and you somehow need to jack up your water heater to the point that the shower is just below the boiling point).

      I used to think this but then I realized I was an adult who could talk to my parents and have a discussion about boundaries now that I’m an adult.
      Now, dad calls or texts ahead of time before coming over even when he’s just 10 minutes away, and I do the same when I visit. Mom calls ahead to plan and schedule visits, and i do the same.
      Life happens, you get more priorities and obligations, and eventually “pop ins” and “dropped by” become inefficient.
