Man those people who picked up the ghouls outfit from the show are gonna be eating good
I think it'll tick a box that a lot of players have wanted for a long time now!
Kinda lame if every ghoul looks the same. I want to be super melty interplay ghoul.
There will be some options to customise, but I'd be surprised if they went that far with it. You never know though!
If only the Ghoul's outfit wasn't locked behind Fallout 1st. I am probably one of the few people who didn't buy that subscription so I don't have access to the Fallout 1st stuff. Still I suppose there are other outfits in the game that are at least close enough.
@@Blackstonelegionduster from nukaworld and black cowboy hat 🤠 was my goto for a bit
Raul from New Vegas was a ghoul with a mustache. So ghouls can have facial hair.
Was just about to comment that myself.
@@Mo11y_Mi11ions forgot the name but one of the FONV expansions has a ghoul with a full head of hair. Looks like a wig to me but still
Always wanted to play as a Ghoul in Fallout 76 so this will be awesome!
Raiders had at least 1 ghoul, Lou, and although there were some who didn't like him Meg was fine with him.
That's a good point, I forgot about him. I guess there'll be snide remarks more than anything then; which would mean you're not shut out of the raiders side of wastelanders if you become a ghoul first.
@@DarthXionGames Raiders make snide comments about you as a human as well. They are equal opportunity assholes.
Interesting point on the standalone release part. I'm wondering if they are gonna be releasing it in time with Fallout Series 2 🤔
As cool as that would be I'd bet against it myself. I think it's very unlikely we'll get season 2 of the show next year. It just takes too long to make these things and the cast are pretty busy at the moment. They might be shifting the whole production across to California too. I think it'll take a while to get all the moving parts into one place.
On the other hand the new 'class' is coming with a quest line of its own, (possibly 2 if you're including de-ghoulification). Add making a few new locations and maybe some bug fixes to that and, given the timescale, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the March update.
Maybe feral ghouls won't attack you when your a ghoul.
That would certainly change the dynamic in a few situations!
It would make sense as there’s already a faction system in place. So if you are a ghoul you should be a part of that faction
That might be cool, could build a base near scorched spawns, and use them as minions.
@@Danzyr Scorched aren't ghouls (and vice versa) - ghouls are immune to the Scorched Plague, that's even a key plot point. I've never actually seen them fighting, but you also don't see them in the same locations.
@@sebwiers1 Ahh ok I see. You must be an intelligence build. I've just been calling them "burnt feral ghouls".
So were getting fallout races now, imagine if they alow you to become a supermutant, my buddy has a "frank horagain" build and if that were the case he could actually be frank horagain
Super Mutants would be a potentially fun addition.
You can't see raider's being "respectful to people who look a little different"? So what about Gail? Lou? Weasel? If those weren't enough, I have also had random encounters with friendly raiders who were ghouls.
I'd say there is zero indication Meg's group in crater has an aversion to working with non-feral ghouls. Or super mutants. Or cyborgs. Or even robots.
Hopefully in the future we will get the option to become a Super Mutant.
Sounds great wonder how things will be when I do change it's going to be fun to fined out.
It's something that's been a "what if" for so long... I can't wait to try it out! 😁
I wonder if they’ll continue to look into the idea of different classes, like ghouls, synths, and a self aware scorch maybe? It could very, very cool concept for the game.
It would be interesting to see even more ways to play on down the line. I think they'd have more luck with something like super mutants though, as I can't see Scorched having the same appeal, and it's about 200 years too early for synths.
Synths wouldn't be possible for 76 they haven't been created yet, maybe a robobrain though just put your brain into a robobrain
I mean you can have dima’s coils as hair
I feel like we should just ignore Fallout 76 and timeline placement and make multiple class/races like humans, ghouls, synths, super mutants, mutants, and maybe various different types of those races.
@@N7warrior007 just cyborgs with different implants
9:48 I gotta ask where are the Ghoul Settlers? Are they just not like... Spawning in ever in my game? Cuz last I checked there aren't. Like... Yeah maybe Penelope Hornwright counts but where are the rest? Also have you not sided with the Raiders at all??? Cuz they're literally fine with Ghouls for the most part. There's like 2 guys that aren't and you kill them that quest line. Lou is literally RIGHT THERE. And you don't even have to do any quest for him to be RIGHT THERE. Like heck, Meg, the leader of the Raiders, mind you, is completely fine with Super Mutants. And even then, much unlike the Settlers, even if you don't meet Lou AT ALL, there are still generic Raiders that are Ghouls LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. Literally I don't know how you could have missed that unless you never leave your C.A.M.P. Cuz most of the time their faces aren't even covered. Same goes for the Blood Eagles. And the Mothman Cultists. I have NEVER seen just a generic Ghoul settler in Fallout 76. In Fallout 4, sure, but not 76.
Also you mentioned there are no ghouls with facial hair so like... What, do Raul Alfonso Tejada and Desmond Lockheart not exist anymore or something?
Super excited about it just sucks. It’s not till next year.
Junkie ghoul, junkie... Ghoul JUNKIEEEE GHOOOOUUUUULLLLL
Also how cool would it be if we could become glowing
With luck later we could be super mutants and behemoths
Idk about Behemoths. That would be extremely hard to Balance.
Wait did I just hear no radiation welp 90% of the player base won't even try ghoul cause they need bloodied builds
There will be other benefits to off set that too. Some might decide to try something different. 🤷♂️ If not... Well it'll make ghouls a little less common, which isn't a bad thing.
Dunno man, I've been playing an anti-rad cannibal my whole playthrough and haven't even bothered with the bloodied meta. I'm *psyched* to be a ghoul meat eater soon.
@@sirthanksalot97 same it's just hard to play anything else when people got adrenaline nerd rage unyielding with like 500 plus ap with a auto railway that takes like 12 AP a shot with vats swap and and grim sprint. Everything in 500 yard is getting instant killed cause they do like 500 a shot and have infinite vats and there's me with my plasma armor having zero benefits.
I'm wondering if we will be also getting new legendary perks with that update?
They weren't mentioned, but it would be very cool if we did, especially as at least one of the existing ones will be redundant..
Better rad and chem.. downside no vats...
The raiders in 76 have a ghoul on their side. lou
only here because the update will finish downloading in 20m lol, I wanted to see what I was getting into. I'm just glad your subtitles are accurate...
I hope being a ghoul doesn't help bloodied builds. They have more than enough buffs already.
I don't see how with gouls being immune to radiation how would you take rads to end up with low health? If anyone it should help vanguard using radiation to keep at full health
really hope it benefits full health builds, just grinded out the solar armor and it feels nice being tanky AF. plus ghouls should be more resistant to radiation than humans anyway so who knows
I would love for it to make full health builds better. I've veered towards Bloodied in all my builds. It's all I seem to get good rolls for, as much as I'd like Anti-Armor more in general.
Heavy guns, commando, and pistol builds all rolled groll Bloodied Cremator, Fixer, and Plasma Flamer, respectively. It's all the game wants me to do. The only other thing I seem to get good 2/3 star rolls on is Aristocrats.
Im calling it here Take "X" damage go feral for a minute or 2 (chems/perks can extend) take less damage and deal more melee/unarmed damage attack faster run faster but at the end of duration become "exhausted" can't run and take increased damage (chems can mitigate this)
Interesting. Can a ghoul go into the facilities of Enclave and do various things? How could a ghoul sneak into the Enclave locations?
Can anyone tell me, is this exclusively for pc players or can us console people get in on this as well?
It'll be open to everyone when the update arrives early next year. (Updates are always available on all platforms).
@@DarthXionGames Thanks sweetness. 😜
Hopefully its revertible though, don't wanna be do the quest then regret it
Imagine if they later introduced the option to become super mutants. Faction availability would be about the same as the become a ghoul option. Strength increase and intelligence decreased. In addition most armors and outfits can't be worn. However there is a tradeoff. Wearing power armor pieces without using a frame. I would love to do a frank horrigan cosplay.
That could make for an interesting set up one day. I'd imagine the Settlers and Blue Ridge Caravan might have a bit of a different reaction to you but it would make for an interesting variation for sure.
What's that nuka cola backpack?
The Wasteland Wanderer backpack.
I'm curious how they will deal with mutations as a ghoul, do you get to keep them? No Marsupial with wrap this up pretty quick.
They haven't said yet. It'll be interesting to see which way they go. Ghouls being immune to rads and already mutants might mean no mutations. If so there'd probably be pretty substantial advantages to offset it. Or maybe we'll keep mutations and they'll do something different. 🤷♂️
What about the enclave?
i mean, the only reason the pioneer was even let is was because they were essentially the perfect human specimen. Possibly Pre-War, Combat trained, able to build massive settlements, extremely smart… probably, And overall capable. They are america’s best and brightest, after all. Edit: In short, you probably still will be able to join the enclave.
to get further in the builds other than perk cards would there also be legendary ghoul only perk cards and mutations ghoul only versions ?
They haven't said anything about legendary perks yet but it's possible. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if ghouls lost access to mutations. Being mutants in the first place and immune to radiation it would make a certain amount of sense and we do know that there will be downsides to becoming a ghoul. Something to keep an eye out for in future announcements I think!
It would be cool if they brought out a 'Ghoul mask' like we had in Fallout 3 as well, so we could temporarily pass as a ghoul around ferals, without actually having to go through the full change.
It would be nice to be able to put it on mannequins in our camp too. I've got a bit of a 'TV show' display corner in one of my camps with a set of T-60 in a power armour display, and 2 mannequins either side of it, one with Lucys outfit and backpack, and one with The Ghouls outfit. It would be cool to actually put a ghoul mask on that mannequin.
There actually is a ghoul mask that comes upon the Atomic Shop from time to time. It's just cosmetic but you could put it on a mannequin I think.
@@DarthXionGames Oh really? Wow. I've played the game for about 3 years and I don't think I've ever seen it! Maybe I have but I just wasn't looking for it at the time lol
It usually comes up around Halloween, but it comes up at other times too. Might be possible to buy it through a support ticket too. Worth a look anyway.
@@DarthXionGames Cheers for letting me know! I'll have to keep my eyes open for it in future, if it ever comes back lol
If I can keep my clown makeup while being a ghoul, I'll be happy. If not, then no ghoul for me
I'd think you'd be able to keep make-up and face paint. I don't know though.
No wonder your back has been off, you've been sitting on this for weeks!
It's been tough! I've been dying to say something! 😁
I really hope this new skyline update and this play as a ghoul will be available for ps5,it only said it’s gonna be available for Xbox and PC hope this is not the case 😢I was very excited for this update im at level 283 so im doing this 😂but im a bloody build 🤔🤔🤔
It's absolutely on all platforms. PS5 included. They're just not going to wave the PS5 flag at an Xbox showcase.
@@DarthXionGamesthat makes total sense 😂thanks 😅😮💨was worried
I’ve been role playing as a ghoul for a while now so I’m glad this is finally happening
As long as i can still wear facepaint
It's gonna be fallout 70 ghouls.
I'm so becoming a ghoul, like Seriously If someone told you you'll get to live for a thousand years But you'll look like a deep fried prune for the rest of your life I'm still saying yes
In game... 100% irl... I'd have questions. The feral thing... And y'know... What about the smell? 😂
@@DarthXionGames That's the neat part - you are going to lose your nose too.
😂😂😂😂 true. Might take a hit to the 'ol charisma stat though around other people who still have theirs!
THANKS for the UPDATE update
I suppose from an RPG sense, but not leaving the vault, surely. It would not make sense.
I'd agree. But DEI by design has no principles :)
Damn smoothies can be so unkind.
Lol I read that as a ghoul 😅
Wow what a fun update, can't wait to make my Fallout 2d20 character in-game!
I’m wondering how we can become a ghoul or will they let us start out as one, unfortunately I’ve used up all my character slots so I might have to reset
it's a quest chain that unlocks at level 50, so any of your toons can now become a ghoul once they hit 50.
@@DiMAAcadiaso any character that we have currently can change into a ghoul ?
@MichaelsExplorations Yep. I read it somewhere on reddit that when reached level 50, a quest about the transformation will be available. It has new set of perks for being a ghoul (but still unknown)
@@theherald1734 awesome thanks I’m at level 283 and a bloody build but this might be a cool change 🤔
