This was one of the pieces I used to practice on my own although it never became part of any audition. I was young and hopeful that I would grow up to become a principal in some symphony and travel all over. I thought it was so beautiful and not too confused with oddball flats and sharps or complicated fingerings, so it wasn't really so difficult to master. A very nice little journey. Colourful and yet somehow melancholy.
How do you have the air to extend phrases beyond human capacity? I've just binge listened to hours of you - it's astounding. Yes, the lower register you produce is truly unbelievable, but your playing is beyond anyone's.
I don't know either -- other topping up whenever possible in anticipation of longer phrases up ahead. (Running, swimming, cycling . . . yogic breathing, holding breath under water at the deep end of a swimming pool. Staying well and avoiding really bad air quality are among only a few tips that I can think of.)
I'm afraid that personally I don't like this type of 'overused' vibrato. It feels like he is standing on a shaking platform or constantly being shaken by someone when playing. Too much vibrato makes my ears tired - a similar feeling when I listen to James Galway. Again only my personal opinion.
This is only my personal opinion. Regarding B W V-1030 (B minor sonata), To use grand piano on behalf of cembalo is so correct. Because this sonata is considered a kind of Trio sonata. Accordingly between the right hand of keyboard and modern flute must be completed counterpoint. In other words, The distinct conversation between flute and piano. The sounds of cembalo is too small. Therefore, that is the reason why I am recommending grand piano.
I prefer it like this with modern flute and piano forte but I'm playing it on harpsichord with a flutist who uses no vibrato in the supposedly baroque style. 😉

Also...outstanding piano accompanist.

Brilliant. My favourite Bach Sonata for flute by my favourite flutist!
Absolutely beautiful.

He might be circular breathing
Wow! That is just beautiful!

Nice
This is only my personal opinion.

las clases son en moscu , xd
What's this Denis - a sonata that was actually written for the flute andd not the violin?
Marvellous.
Wow it’s my mom!
Muito rápido... Mas ainda sim incrível.

From a modern instrument interpretation I expected much worse. Great work!
7 YEARS PASSED , ARE YOU ALIVE?
@@wolfgangvanchopin4093 damn right lol i forgot i wrote this totally
@@theskoomacat7849 No way you replied!! Do you still play the flute?
❤

what grade would you say this is?
I dunno if you're in NY but if you are this is a level 6 nyssma
great interpretation. never going too lax
if they had used the harpsichord , would have been even more prettier

Slow down please... Other than that really well done.
Linda!!! Mas o flautista podia tirar quase todo o vibrato
