Scheuer says no American lives were lost protecting or stationing troops in Saudi Arabia. He must have forgotten that 19 Americans in uniform lost their lives when the Khobar Tower was blown up in 1996.

Terrorism was the violence that lead to the founding of "israel". After the job was done, all resistance was called "terrorism".
Terrorism was the violence of the Mujahedin in Afghanistan against the communist government and it's reforms, and this terrorism in the 1980s was supported by the west (And a certain Osama Bin Laden was involved here)

All his analysis of what he calls " Islamic world" has no thing to do with reality , for example Muslim Egyptians have not the minimum cultural bonds with Malaysians , he is totally uninformed about the ideological base of terrorism which lays beneath in the writings of the Muslim brothers . He is also very much inaccurate concerning the " popularity " of Osama Bin Laden and radical Islamist and what has happened in Egypt in 30/6 2013 is the crystal clear clue of how they are hated in the most populated country in the Middle East . He is giving you an easy solution , but be sure it is neither realistic neither effective.
Of course he doesn't talk about the Arab Spring, to just use that term, this talk is from 2005!!
Besides, check out his resume, I may not agree with everything, or even a lot, of what Mr. Scheuer says, but to say he doesn't know what he's talking about is ridiculous.
Every single last prediction he has made since he resigned from the agency has come true. EVERY one. Check for yourself.
