    A tiny bit about myself:
    Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my RUclips channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

    Very cute. If i could draw something besides a straight line with a ruler, I might be getting somewhere lol.

      Thank you. 🤣 You could glue a coloring page onto a canvas and glitter that.

    Ohhhh I ❤it, I ❤ black roses anyway beautiful. And while I’m here I have a question about crackle effect well I tried it and it was a failure, Could it be because I used homemade white gesso as my base? I let that dry then applied my glue and paint right on top and placed it in front of the fan and I got like 1 crack can you lmk if this maybe why it didn’t work. Thanks 🙏.

      @DIYNoNeedToCry  Год назад +1

      Thank you! I don't see the base being the issue. The crackle effect should work on any surface because it's the Elmer's glue or PVC glue that has the ingredients that cause it to crack. Try something for me. On something you don't care for, place a layer of Elmer glue, and go over it with one of your matte acrylic paints. Just do it on one section. Place it in front of the fan and see if it works. Don't worry about a base color or perfection. Simply try to achieve the crackle effect. Let me know if that works.
      Once I recover from surgery, I'll make the video for crackle and send it to all the vip email listers.

    How do you get the black glitter to not get into the gold? Every time I have tried something like this I always end up with some colors where they shouldn’t be. Wondering if I’m not doing something I should be to protect each layer 🤔 I always let each color thoroughly dry before adding next color. This turned out so well! I want to try to make it but from “my” experience… I just don’t know… 🤦🏼‍♀️

      I do one color at a time and let it completely dry. I tap off all the excess glitter, and then I brush over it with a course paint brush to get rid of any remaining loose glitter. Tap that off and repeat until there's barely any fall-out. That's it. I don't do anything else. I hope it works out for you when you try again. 🙏🏽❤️

      @@DIYNoNeedToCry Thank you! Like I said, I’ve tried a few times but it just never turned out perfectly. All I would do is tap the glitter off a few times. I will one day try again and see how it works. Thank you so much for your insight!

      Use the brush on the entire piece once it's completely dry, and it will take off any loose glitter that lands on the other colors. It should work. Happy crafting! 🫶

      @@DIYNoNeedToCry Do you put any kind of top coat on this? I could be missing a basic how to video somewhere 🤔🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve got my glitter, I’ve got a canvas panel board and I’ve got mod podge. Hopefully I have all the right stuff to make something this weekend.👍🏼 Not sure exactly what I will make yet though 🤷🏼‍♀️

      @michelleelle4622 You can seal it with a clear glitter sealer from Krylon. It's from their glitter blast collection. That's my favorite one, but it's super pricey these days. It became very popular. I've been experimenting with other spray sealers and will share once I find one that I like. When I first started glittering, I used hairspray to seal my work. Lol it works well. I still use it when I run out of sealer. You can always decoupage a coloring page or a printout to your canvas and glitter that. And like I always say. Have fun, be creative, and make a mess! 😆🎨🙏🏽
