    "They want Nash shooting the ball and not getting others involved"
    Dude was a 50/40/90 type of consistent shooter but he was such a dominant passer that the other team would just let him shoot at times. What an incredible player

    Statistically, Nash is the greatest shooter in NBA history.
    The eyeball test suggests Curry is the best shooter in NBA history, however Curries career is just beginning.
    I like Ray Allen and obviously he can shoot, but he was, at least for a good portion of his career, a catch and shoot type player. He didn't create his own shots in the same way Curry and Nash have and did.

    • @clutchcity25
      @clutchcity25 9 лет назад +9

      I disagree. Ray Allen was very good off the dribble playing in Seattle. He was more of a scorer there. He had the ball in his hands, he made plays in the pick and roll, and he scored in 1-on-1 situations. He had 4 straight years in SEA of at least 23 a game, including 27 in 06-07. So the notion that he was exclusively a catch-and-shoot guard is misguided.

    • @theatter1837
      @theatter1837 8 лет назад +2

      +clutchcity25 Exactly. As he gears toward the end of his career, he transform into a catch-and-shoot player. Probably a smart thing to do, since it keeps in him the game.

    • @TexasPsychoK
      @TexasPsychoK 8 лет назад

      +ParaditeRs
      Nash and Allen were better. Nash created it all himself though, and Allen is a lot like Redick in college. Mark Price may have been the best, but not much video of him. Reggie Miller was the best in the clutch shooting 3's... and yes, I'll take him over everyone if you need a 3. Bird if you just need a shot.

    • @TexasPsychoK
      @TexasPsychoK 8 лет назад

      +ParaditeRs
      My eyeball test tells me Miller. He was guarded, and couldn't pass great, rarely cut, and didn't have talent like many of the other players had(or when he did, they were past their prime.) Miller created insane 3's when they mattered. Price had NO ONE on his team, and that guy was another 50-40-90 guy(Nash did it 4 times, almost 6 times?) And clutchcity25 is right about Allen, earlier in his career, he could get to the rim and dunk, and didn't just play off of screens to get wide open 3's. He became a catch-and-shoot guard though which most guys end up becoming, but Allen was never a big free throw guy, and stopped slashing or driving early on for some reason. Look at Vince Carter, he became that kind of player with one or two easy, brilliant dunks a game when it was simple later on. Finley, Majerle, and others fell into this trap.
