    The bears are gonna run, run, run, run, run and run some more. 2 quality RBs and an elite running QB. Also, the OLine is not bad in run blocking, they are actually above average finishing 11th in 2021 in Team Run Block Win rate. They added Pringle & Harry who were the top 2 rated blocking receivers last year. This team is possibly going to run more than any other team in 2022. Not just because they can do it , but because they HAVE to do it… they need to wear teams down with the outside zone , and play action off of that to guys like Mooney (who’s a stud btw and not nearly appreciated enough for getting over 1,000 yards last year in a Matt Nagy offense… good grief) , and I expect a lot more involvement from Cole Kmet this year. If Harry, Pringle and the rookie Jones can add some average wide receiver play then that’s a bonus. Get teams to respect the run and then let fields use those legs to roll out and pick apart the D. People are also forgetting the bears have a top 5 easiest strength of schedule this season, compared to last year where they had a top 5 hardest strength of schedule and still won 6 games (really should have been 7 too if Tony Corrente wasn’t a little b**** in Pittsburgh). Fields is also going into the season as the #1 , no more BS competition with Dalton & Foles, that means ALLLLLLL the reps for Justin. He’s the leader now. They can be at least decently successful if they do what Matt Nagy refused to do, call plays to accommodate the talent of the roster, and not try to force plays that your squad is not built for. I do not see a way in which they win less than 7 games if they follow that recipe (unless they get hammered with injuries). I understand all of the criticism surrounding this team , but I think they can surprise a lot of people sleeping on them.

    • @srishaymiryala4910
      @srishaymiryala4910 2 года назад

      Here's why I disagree. I see everything your saying, but your forgetting quite a few things. First off, James Daniels your best lineman left. So your not going to have the 11th ranked run offense again. And you didn't replace him in free agency, nor in the draft as you didn't pick an offensive lineman within the first 3 rounds. You also don't have a Jonathan Taylor, Derrick Henry type guy. David Montgomery is a good back, but he's not a great one. WITH the 11th ranked run offense last year he averaged a PUTRID 3.7 yards per attempt. That's not someone you can run all day with. I also believe your forgetting how the NFL evolved. All the best teams are pass first and have a great offense. A run first team in today's NFL just won't work as well as it would've 30 years ago. And also in order to have a great run first team, you have to have a great defense so you don't fall behind. The bears defense is at BEST a middle of the pack squad. Ok that may be a bit of an understatement but they are simply not that great anymore. Robert Quinn is rumored to be gone before the start of the season. Khalil Mack already left along with Akheim Hicks. I know they were both aging but there both losses. And other then Roquan Smith that front 7 is garbage. Secondary's a bit better but Jaylon Johnson is your only proven corner and Eddie Jackson is getting up there in age. And your recievers are Byron Pringle who's 28 and could only put up 500 yards with PATRICK MAHOMES, Harry who's actually garbage even though he played with TOM BRADY, and a 3rd round rookie who was a forsure reach in a lame draft class. Overall I understand but I just don't think Bears are going to be as good as you say they are.

    Solid content. I liked you pulling in quotes for people around the league and stats to actually back up what you're serving up as food for thought. What the staff did to us last year was criminally negligent. The thing about Nagy's tenure, I mean the really big thing for me. He could have a Hall of Fame QB or a Hall of Fame RB and if that person's skillset isn't right for Nagy's scheme then it's too bad for that guy. Show me a staff that has a scheme and they force their players to adapt vs a staff that looks at what they have to work with and come up with a scheme to maximize those strengths. Just a night and day difference to their approach. A couple more good drafts and we'll be a solid football team again, but that doesn't mean we can't make some noise this fall.

Through the draft, signing young talent for cheap through free agency as well as signing undrafted talent. Then making everything look nice by throwing in a veteran or two at key positions. Let them grow for a season and if the team gels well, then year two will be amazing. We can lean on our run game too with Monty and Herbert if we have to. The defense should be there, we just gotta hope that Justin has improved and has an OLine that can actually keep him upright. But!!!!!....you have to have a offense (like the 85 Bears) that knows how to work the clock and score.
    Now, we all know there will never...ever be another 85 Bears.
    However true....you still have to CONTROL the line of scrimmage. Both sides of the ball.
    Math 101.....a smash mouth defense will keep the score down... thus allowing the offense to run the ball, play action pass...again, controlling the clock.... equals victory formation.

    Great video breakdown. My disagreement would be it's not necessarily the team we have but who we have to go up against. As of now we have no true #1's to lean on like a Bosa or Mahomes. If our season depends on an unproven Fields, I think we are looking at 5-7 wins. I hope I'm wrong. I am excited about the new coaching staff, it appears they finally got it right.

    The line is at 6.5 wins. I put 500 on the over. They could go 9-8 this year if the OLine is competent. I think they need another WR. I just don't think Hardman is it. Kmet should blow up this year, and Mooney continue on his ascension. They need to go get the Gary Kubiak bootleg playbook, they need to get Fields' confidence going early and run and run.
    I think their secondary will be better than expected. Sorta worried about both DL and every LB not named Roquan Smith.

    The Bears are gonna surprise a lot of teams this season because no one knows what type of offensive scheme they’re gonna run, opposing defenses teams might have an idea but not the full grasp early on etc……..But as usual the stupid idiotic media so called experts have been mocking and bashing and sleeping on the Bears because they haven’t spent big gobs of money on any big name free agents, one player isn’t gonna change the dynamic of your team and automatically get you to or in the playoffs. It’s a team effort as a whole depending on the scheme that’s being run, no to mention having the right players in the right position for that scheme your running on both sides of the ball.
    With Nagy and Pace gone and you have a competent coaching staff with an offensive and defensive scheme in place that’s tailored to the players this helps the Bears instantly, they’ll definitely win more than 8 to 9 games this year compared to last year.
    Provided the Bears stay healthy most of the season, My prediction is 11-7, 10-8, 9-9, 8-9…….IMHO, I believe the Bears will make the playoffs by either wildcard or playoff game itself, but you never know seeing how the NFL can get crazy when teams are fighting for playoff spots.

      We would never went to the SB in 85 without McMahon. Anyone who says otherwise didn't see that season live and moreover they don't have a clue about the Bears. 85 offense was №2 in the league. McMahon cam off the bench from injuries 3 times to win games that we wouldn't have if he wasn't there. And that lise to the Dolphins in 85, that's on our beloved 85 defense that got completely toasted by Marino. Dent Marshall Singletary none of them could get to Marino. Did you really just size up EBERFLUS with BILL BELICHICK? Thats hilarious. Bill Belichick put together some of the best defensive gameplans in all of football history the Giants D.C.. The 1990 NFCCG at Candlestick Park and the following Super Bowl with a gameplan that shut down the Bill's offense just to name a couple. Eberflus had a peg above a middle of the road defense in INDY.. Just STOP. It's not that they hire a coach that leans in either direction. That has nothing to do with the results. It's that the Bears CONSTANTLY hire some bargain bin knock off and try to pass them off as the hire of the century. They hired Mark Trestman when Bruce Arians was begging for the job. Then it was John Fox when TOM CLEMENTS should have been the hire. Then it was Matt Nagy when AGAIN Tom Clements should have been the hire. This time around McCasky let a washed up Bill Polian advise him to hire Eberflus over JIM HARBAUGH who has a .695 winning% and every dingle one of his 49er teams made the post season with no more than Alex Smith and Keapernick at QB. Don't act like you weren't on the jock of every single one of these terrible hires when they were hired. Only to bad mouth them on their way out. It's the same 4 year cycle constantly. You guys claim they're saying and doing all of the right things when they're hired, then they bomb & you criticize them up and down on their way out. REPEAT CYCLE. STOP rewarding the MCCASKEYS for CONSTANTLY giving you knock off garbage for the money you pay them for this PRODUCT. JIM HARBAUGH SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE HIRE. The MCCASKEYs screwed you again.

      What an incredibly detailed thought out response. You clearly know your history. However, I wasn't comparing anyone to anyone. With that specific argument, I was comparing the perception of Eberflus as a DEF. coach and how that could potentially be viewed by Bears fans as a negative. And how the best coach of all time was a defensive coach. It was a simple argument. Thanks for watching.

    • @VicInNocal

      I agree with you on Harbaugh. If it's true that he wanted to come to CHI and be the coach for 10 years, then the Bears should've committed to having that long term coach for a damn change. The hope for the Bears now is Luke Getsy, but if he works wonders as offensive coordinator, he will be gone in 2 or 3 years to take a HC job elsewhere.
