  • The whole idea started as an idea for the video, and after thinking of the most important things I should mention in the video, I finally came to some kind of plan for how this video should look like. Combination of the Kick2 Tutorial, together with the Psytrance Kick structure, some major categorizations of the kick and psychological mindsets you should have in mind while designing your kicks, to advanced fine shaping processing techniques and most importantly, pretty big personal experience are being shared in this mini course.
The main goal of this video is to provide knowledge about the process, as well as the analyse of the certain tools many are using, and also a way how many these tools should be used for your production growth.

As far as science vs spirituality per se in making of a track ... I see spirituality aspect as you being in your own vortex of emotion and emotional emanations coming from your natural vibrations that you are naturally producing from your soul and through those emotions and emanations come ideas, visuals, even sounds in the mind that you apply to your DAW... The scientific I see as how accurate one can paint the picture and represent those ideas, emotions, sounds etc via numbers and measurements of the sounds harmonizing with how you are feeling and what you want to portray. Just my perception!

Very educational video, thank you, please Phase Police video and video about equipment as there is a rising opinion that high end converters/soundcards are not necessary; 80 bucks sound card will do the job ....🤨

I promise they will make the change. But it’s complicated, as after investing in converters, everything will sound worse, not better. Upgrading converters is really unpopular!

I use masive x to create my kicks since it allows me to process parts such as the tail, the body or the punch and I can add other processes such as distortion, noise, etc...then when I like what I have I make the render and continue processing to get to what I'm looking for with more distortion and reverb eq, etc......

Yeah i think its all about how the kicks compliments the base. Atleast this is what i've learned.
Because base on its own sounds shit of corse, but with the right kick it shines ☀️👌

Creativity is based on emotion, science doesn’t bother with emotions, only measurable data. It’s two different mindsets they need to be used as two different tools in creating music and art.

They go hand in hand though. Some notes work better together and that is a physical property. You can't hammer with your fists on the piano and say it's a Mozart.

I agree with you. But the point is that making a track will require both, and how to deal with both is a problem. Creativity to write down a track, and Science to makenit sound good!
