Oh my good, good, goodness!! Best cover ever of this masterpiece.....and......right here in DFW! So few ever capture the essence of Bob, but, this really does......so happy I stumbled into it!!
Shadows are falling and I been here all day It's too hot to sleep and time is running away Feel like my soul has turned into steel I've still got the scars that the sun didn't let me heal There's not even room enough to be anywhere It's not dark yet, but it's getting there Well my sense of humanity is going down the drain Behind every beautiful thing, there's been some kind of pain She wrote me a letter and she wrote it so kind She put down in writin' what was in her mind I just don't see why I should even care It's not dark yet, but it's getting there Well I been to London and I been to gay Paree I followed the river and I got to the sea I've been down to the bottom of a whirlpool of lies I ain't lookin' for nothin' in anyone's eyes Sometimes my burden is more than I can bear It's not dark yet, but it's getting there I was born here and I'll die here, against my will I know it looks like I'm movin' but I'm standin' still Every nerve in my body is so naked and numb I can't even remember what it was I came here to get away from Don't even hear the murmur of a prayer It's not dark yet, but it's getting there
Mark Smith agree John Fulbright should be a household name like Bob Dylan great to hear this cover would really love to hear John Prine do me wanting you though
That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. To say that any piece of art could not resonate with someone because of age is asinine. Bob Dylan writes about life experiences, all of which can happen at mostly any age.
One of the most important songs in human history
Listening to this on repeat during the first afternoon of Lockdown Number 5 in Melbourne, Australia. Sums up my mood perfectly... :(
The only cover that captures any of the essence of this song. Very well done.
Best cover of this song on RUclips
I wholeheartedly disagree... check out Steve Poltz’s cover
Shelby Lynne and Alison Moorer do a much better version
@@JasonUmbrellabird just stumbled on their cover....incredible!
Man....Thats Talent...I LOVE The Fact That Their Using Open Air Mic's..No Pickups..What a GREAT Sound...Thanks For This Share John...
Best cover of this song I have seen
Back after 9 years ago. This work by you two fellas, is just so wonderfully done. Love the vocals, the instruments...the soul that each of you have!
One of Dylan's gems, well polished. Nicely done, one of the best covers I've heard. I feel it.
F A N T A S T I C. This is music....wonderful interprétation, bravo. I am a fan of Dylan....for over 40 years.
Greetings from France
there is something about an acoustic set that just warms the soul! Thanks for sharing.
Nice J200 and excellent harp !!
pure brilliance...pure talent.
Holy...! This is just great!
absolutely incredible guys, goosebump inducing music (:
Bobby Long + John Fullbright = Bobby Fullbright.
Doesn’t get any better than that.

@@JasonUmbrellabird I agree, but No one is equal to Dylan's!
@@timothygraff9464 I dunno, the sisters do a great job.
@@JasonUmbrellabird you so very wrong about this comment. The girls do a good job, but it's no where near as good as this version.
@@lklk1997 You have your opinion and I have mine, but you can't say I'm wrong.
One of my favorite songs by Dylan. I fought here and I’ll die here against my will. 💔
Not to be a killjoy, but the lyric is "I was born here and I'll die here." = )
This is fantastic! The arrangement has kind of a "Pat Garret & Billy the Kid" ambiance. Congrats!
agreed!
Great vocal tones
Great Dylan cover gentlemen!
excellente, superb, magnificent and titanic....you two guys are worth seeking out for more listening...
Great lads very well played and sung you nailed it xx
Great acoustic version guys. Bob would approve!

See, this is exactly how it should be.....
+Fraser Wheaton I know, right?
Lyrics are wonderful/ reminds me of dh Lawrence “to a young wife” love the naturalistic vocals - this is a great song. “It’s only pain”

Money doesnt talk it.swears
The correct song title is "Not Dark Yet"!
The song is just called "Not Dark Yet"
John Fullbright should be a household name like Bob Dylan!
If he can write a tune as good as Bob, he will
That was fucking great!
Doesn't this song ring true NOW .
That's how it's fucking done!
Fullbright IS the Bob Dylan of his generation.
Mark Smith agree John Fulbright should be a household name like Bob Dylan great to hear this cover would really love to hear John Prine do me wanting you though
I'll pick Shaky Graves
Or Gregory Alan Isakov
Mark Smith you're all wrong. Fulbright is something more. Real interesting guy.
Dam !
Cookin' Boys
Like that
:)
Great cover, but I wish they would follow the lyrics. Can't stand "whirlpool of lies".
Reil Naem I don't think John says "whirlpool of lies." Listen again.
mschatelaine I definitely hear whirlpool, but I guess it could easily go either way. Really enjoyable cover, regardless.
I have always heard "whirlpool". Only Bob knows the real lyrics.

Why so down an already slow song. sorry it’s a miss.
These guys do a nice job on this but they won't really understand this song for another 40 years or so.
That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. To say that any piece of art could not resonate with someone because of age is asinine. Bob Dylan writes about life experiences, all of which can happen at mostly any age.
He doesn’t know how to present the song
anyone got a razor blade?
Dylan is a little bit above you guys . Give your talent to songwriting . That's where Dylan began . Peter behind my Judy
