@ridered7394 I think it's almost 20k after import tax and fees, Kaplan cycles imported a few. If you live in Germany the 500 probably makes sense. 700 might be too big to be practical.
380 ktm was one of my alltime favorite engines. Incredible powerband that had a smooth linear power to hook up at every rpm. Terrible suspension hurt sales.

Yeah big boy 430 AE. AE was the automatic gearbox one. Going downhills if you backed the throttle off if went into neutral and had no engine braking at all. Exciting fun times
I honestly believe the 250rx will be for European 250cc(Lites) class, and the 350rx will replace the current 300rx for 450cc and Open classes as 350cc really is needed in order to compete against modern 450cc 4 strokes. Beta unveiled the 350rx as a flat track racer because in the discipline of flat track racing, traction really is key, and 4 strokes offer unparalleled traction with the exhaust and intake strokes allowing the tire to briefly slow down to grab traction again, 2 strokes do not offer this by design, hindering them from being a competitive flat tracker. Two strokes tried to mimic this with the "Big Bang" firing order of the 500cc GP bikes, but this cannot be done on single cylinder flat trackers.
2 things there. Premix means part of the gas tank is actually oil. People jetted them pig rich very often. My newer 300 makes almost zero smoke once warm, and uses about half the gas of my old 360 while making the same power. Fuel injection is amazing.

Did their marketing team do their research when they continued to go with the name Beta in the US? The irony of riding a bike around with “BETA” plastered all over it.😂
@ Not claiming anything about how the bike rides, just makes me wonder how that name passed it through the powers that be. Kind of like riding a bike that said “cuck” on it.
Boring. I’m all for preserving and appreciating old 2 strokes. But it blows my mind guys want to buy brand new carbureted 2 strokes. Just buy an old one lol

It wants to smooth out power delivery. I dont want smoothed out power delivery. I want insanity. And old bikes. Have old brakes frames and suspension.
Old bikes don't have the chassis and suspension. Those old motors in modern frames with modern suspension and geometry are scary fast. Mostly because they're actually rideable without the quirks that killed the old big bores.

Lots of people didn't buy them because they had too much power. 80+hp out of a 500 should be easy. They kept them down in the 60hp range, which is right where the modern 450 4t or 300 2t is sitting at. A counter-balanced, electric start 500 with electric power valve and fuel injection would be killer. Would be easy enough to have a multi position map switch for 60-80+hp. When I used to ride my old 96 husky 360 against the 10-12 450s at the track guys would be amazed that I'd always pull hole-shots. We were both running 60hp, but the 2t never has a dead stroke so it puts down twice as many power strokes per rpm. Also why they don't need to rev to the moon like a modern 4t.
