So glad you are past the new house and covid BassGeek. Your channel is a highlight of my evenings after work. Have learned so much from you good sir. You, Debo, and Tj81 rock
I wish some company would develop a heavy wire buzzbait on a 1/8 ounce frame with a beefy hook and 1/4 ounce of lead but on the shank so it would slide over the plastic. Basically a power finesse buzzbait but smaller
I just told a buddy Walmart used to seek the cheap little tiny buzzbaits. The skirts where garbage but man they caught a tone of fish. I mean they where no bigger than the palm of your hand
@@BassGeek just picked some of them up and I destroyed the dinks on them walmart ones today!! They actually worked real well and surprisingly ran true the whole time!! Thanks again!!!
The three amigos (you, Debo, and TJ81) need to hook up and do a few fishing videos together. I know we all been bugging you guys to do that and scheduling always in the way. Without any doubt they will be some awesome and hilarious videos.
The small 1/4 or the mini 3/16 or 1/8 buzzbait what kind let see the striking mini king buzzbait or Booyah I use. 1/4 oz is it 7 grams ❓ because it's only the weigh or lead: what about the rest of the lure. With trailer over 10 grams is that finesse baits 🤔 just thinking 🤔
Used to Walmart carried the reeeeeal small buzzbaits. I mean they were tiny with real crappy skirts so you just took’em off and put anything on’em. But they were great. I mean I bet they were 1/8 but just sucks a small profile they killed.
Yeah we catch a lot of small ones but Ohio river has 12 inch limit so tournament day normally 4 12 in and a kicker will get a check. Get a limit of 12 in then go with a small jig or small crankbait. River is a tough fishery at times
I love'em. I tell ya Waaaaaay back in the day Walmart used to sale these really small I mean they would fit in the palm of your hand buzzbaits. The skirts where junk but man they would catch bass like fire.
Thanks kind sir for sharing that info, never did a buzz bait much. You inspire me to get out there and throw em. Can I ask what brand of mono you use, been on Berkeley for a long time but happy with it lately.
Question on topwater, like fishing late evening is it possible to make them eat spooks, poppers, etc when the water temps are in mid to upper 80s on soho, Cherokee and other local lakes?
Hey Hank, very educational buzz bait tips. Never really thought about tuning them. Looks like I got some work to do on all those baits I thought were shot. Thanks man! Keep the awesomely educational vids comin!!!👊
Interesting topic, I agree sometimes the small ones will work a lot better. I use to start with those when I fished ponds then I would use the bigger louder ones.
What's happening bass geek what's your thoughts on the buzz King 3/16 Oz and the booyah buzz 1/4? I don't know if you've tried them at all but if you have.
I have and I love the 3 blades of the buzz king and that it’s a small blade period. It comes up easy and you can fish it super slow with a menace or even a small rage bug on it. I like the booyah but I’m not a big fan of a clacker in the clear water I fish. Squillis good but then it’s just bubbles. In dirty water I’ll take all the noise I can get
Just starting throwing a buzzbait any idea why I’m having trouble with it not running true? Seems like no matter what trailer it looks like it’s almost sideways on the retrieval. I’ve used zoom horny toads and keitech swim baits 3.8
Three things will cause that. 1. Over powering the buzzbait. Simply fishing it to fast will cause it to roll to the side the blade spins toward as the blade will try to dig into the water. 2. if the trailer isn't balanced. Be sure that thing is as centered and not sliding as much as possible. Glue it if you have to. 3. It needs to be tuned. so you can bend the blade arm to correct it when it runs to the left or the right. Twist the "Main Wire" (the wire directly connected to the head and hook) away from the side that the bait wants to roll. Most of the time the blade will spin to the right if it's coming toward you so twist the shaft to the left. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for the tips. I bought black and white buzzbaits from booyah and googan squad hummer. The booyah seems to run better then the hummer out of the package. Thanks again for replying back.
I just got a new reel that’s an 8 speed (13 Inception) I have been looking for a rod for it. For $100, these are definitely an option. If I go medium heavy, and spool with mono, what other techniques could I use with that combo? Currently I throw poppers on mono but not much else. I do have a few dedicated combos, but I don’t throw buzz baits much.
I found it works great for your topwater type baits or depending the brand because every brands power and actions are different but I love it for a chatterbait spinner bait as well
Nope! Been watching the website www.stixfishing.com/product/stix-pax-2/ for months and the stix pax is sold out and has been for a long time. Although, you can still find the individual sales for each of the rods.
There wasn’t a product plug in this video. I’m literally not sponsored by ANY of these companies. Stix sent me rods for me to try, I like’em A LOT. should I not talk about products I get sent? do you want to see more fishing videos? Trust me I want to do more fishing but I’m still working on my house? Please I’m not being a butthole more information on this and why this video made you feel that way?

I love my finesse buzz.

Heck yah I'm SOOOOOOOOO happy to be down. Well for now you know how houses are. Always something. lol
My favorite topwater lure all time
Same here!
My buzzbait game is lagging. Great timing for your video BG. Much appreciated man. ✌️🎣
Those smaller buzzbaits will help you grow your confidence.
Love your videos man keep it up
Thank you very much.
Excellent video presentation. Your tip to begin lifting the rod tip early so the bait stays at the surface is ingenious.
Thank you.
Thank you. Also be sure to stop the bait with your thumb just as it hits or just before it hits the water.
Great tips and thanks for the shout out brother, much love 👊 I like the "pull the rod" tip to get the bait moving. Keep up the good vids my friend 🤘
Anytime sir. Yeah I like that bait moving as soon as it hits the h2o.
thanks for the tips all i use is a 1/4 oz
I like a big one when it's choppy or they want it fast or the water is dirty.
Great tips great channel
Thank you sir
Love me some buzz bait action! Appreciate the shout out brother! Sweet video! 👊
Anytime my bro
That cast and retrieve works very well here in central Fl. with our tanic colored water. Keep putting the word out.
Nice thanks for watching
Can't beat a good buzzbait bite 🔥 great video, I like that rod 👍
Man I know it!

I think I started watching you after a mention from Debo 🤓
Thank you very much and thank the d B OOOOOOOO! lol
Great video Hank, just subbed.

Never even thought of a buzzbait to be a finess bait. Very informative. Gonna have to try it now!!

Hank ever try a zoom chunk threaded on
Bet wide flatness would keep bait up
I would say it would but never have tried it on a buzzer.
Thanks for the tips on getting it to run straight

I mean from a profile size yes maybe not from a weight size.
My buddy used to make a 1/8 buzz for the Ohio river. It was deadly there

Indiana fishing is tough but makes a lot of good fishermen. Ask J. Wheeler lol
Great video! What about them micro buzzbaits?? I just bought a couple but havent thrown them yet

Well it’s Berkeley for me most of the time sorry.
I will try it out Saturday morning.
Find wood cast to wood. lol So says my buy Debo.

It is but I have to see signs of top water action. Popping busting etc
How do you know what size or color of bait to use?
But some of us can o ly have one rod. What do you suggest?
