This is my take on the lyrics. it's about two sisters with a dysfunctional/abusive mother and now the sister is unexpectedly pregnant and the cycle of generations of family dysfunction will continue with her but the other sister can escape if she can leave mentally and physically and escape their upbringing. The misery is her trying to decide to keep the baby even though she fears she will be like their mother or she can leave like her sister and not have the baby. Her love for her sister shows that she can be maternal and love another. knowing her sister is out in the world makes it easier for to deal with staying. She can't leave with her sister bc their relationship is complicated like she never took her sisters side but she never cursed her name either she was just a passive bystander to the abuse while her sister probably got the worse abuse bc she was more active and fought back.
