This is the PK package with the sticker that's been sitting on my desk for two months now. 🤣😅Maybe it's time to open it up? It looks like a pretty solid product for the price!
Cheers Zu, summed that up nicely I thought. I bought a dirty cheap Emuelec loaded TV box for a friend as a present. He's still friendly. Result. The one I got is a bit laggy, not 100% on PSP and Dreamcast (50% at best really) but he's getting the tinkering bug and has developed an unhealthy fascination with PS1 RPGs. Got 'em. Oh, the controllers lasted 6 months, took one apart to see if it could be fixed and ... well, you know that feeling when you're disgusted, horrified and want to laugh all at the same time?
I think it's one of those "Powkiddy" products that's only distributed by Powkiddy but actually some other anonymous company's product. They also sell two Android based sticks which they call Y3 and Y5 but they're originally the GT65 and GT68 made by a different company entirely. (and the GT68 is also sold as the Ampown U10 which is the same thing with a remote control bundled in)
@@shamstrider7353 Personally, I have a GT65 (Y3) and it's OK for a cheap Android stick, the built in emulators aren't great but you can easily install Retroarch or something. But a lot of people seem to have trouble with the wifi on them.
nice review... thanks guys... I think that for someone after retro games for no fuss it works well... zu and gary, you are the retro handheld dream team... :)
It's always an option, but I wanted to test it as much of an out-of-the-box experience as possible. I figure if you're going to buy it as a gift, you better know what it looks like without any extra fiddling or accessories. -Zu
Really good video friend, i'm Sorry, Is possible to add in this Stick other games in addition or replacing some game already on the list? Is it simple to do? Thanks for the reply
you can turn off all filters/shaders what very important is- you must edit -conf file in emuelec folder. i can be done under windows but you need linux ext3 ext2 drivers for example from paragon software ... works perfectly. 2 minutes work. .config/emuelec/configs/emuelec.conf. 10 bucks for me :)
"3D GAME" indeed 🤣 I just LOVE watching these reviews on these cheap Chinese devices 🤣. This one definitely seems better than the previous stuff though!
No it only supports 2 contorlers out of the box maybe with a usb hub and another cortoler set it might work but you may need to open it up with the below technique ruclips.net/video/lSogMbQ4RKI/видео.htmlfeature=shared
@@glensmith1979I can confirm it does not need to be opened up. I bought 2 more controllers and a usb port splitter- worked perfectly supports 4 controllers.

That "weird smell" that's "not bad" - is the product of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) from cheap plastics... hugely carcinogenic - I have to air any crap like that outside as it makes me nauseous.

Hi, the HDMI plug on my Y6 broke so I can't plug it to my TV anymore. Can I take the Micro SD card out and plug it to my laptop or computer and play the games there? If so, do I have to configure anything? Thank you!
Hello sir do u think I can buy psp SD card and it work in my super console x cause I want psp games but they all say for albernec or some other game stick
Hello, I tired a cheap amazon n64 usb controller and it doesn’t seem to connect. Is there a n64 style controller that works with y6 ? There is really no controller setup option so does only a ps2 style work?
I'm pretty sure you can drop new roms in the corresponding folders as long as the extension is correct, but I'm not 100% on this. These mini-consoles all start to run together after a while. - Zu
I will never purchase a handheld that is designed to look like a Nintendo device. I am a Sega fan, for me, I’ll buy a retro handheld when someone does a damn good job at Sega style for one or multiple handhelds. Until then, I’ll stick to emulators and Sega’s mini Genesis.
You did good Zu, you can come out and see the Sun now. 🌞😘 - Stubbs

Does this work on laptops

Which one will you recommend among Powkiddy Y6 and Game Stick G10 (in terms of being more powerful) ?
The Y6 seems to run alot better than the gd10 even though it has half the ram
I ordered this a few days ago. My question is, do the controllers use batteries? What size?
Can you hook up a different controller? There are some decent controllers with usb dongles that look like they might work.

Any ol' usb dongles or direct inputs *should* work but I didn't test with much besides the one it came with and another similar model.
