I am a former Marine Forced Recon sniper, ARMOR, 1987-1991, AND A 25-year suburban law enforcement officer 1991-2022. SWAT SNIPER, ARMOR, AND FTO. I HAVE 10 MIN UNIFORM AND DUTY BELT CHECK AFTER ROLL CALL. I SUGGEST YOU PUT ALL 3 MAGS ON YOUR LEFT SIDE, TASER, LIGHT, ASP AND RTO. RIGHT SIDE KEY HOLDER, OC SPRAY POUCH, HOLSTER, HANDCUFF CASE, AND GLOVE CASE. YOUR MAGS SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN THE FRONT AT ALL TIMES. THEN TASER. KEYS UP FRONT RIGHT SIDE YOU USE THEM ALL THE TIME. THEN OC SPRAY LESS LEATHAL. OTHER WISE VERY GOOD. WE USE FIRST LINE DEFFENCE BELTS TO WITH CONDOR POUCHES. HSG taco WERE BREAKING TO MUCH. NICE VIDEO TALK IN YOUR VIDEO NEXT TIME. WATCH YOUR 6 Fellow officer in blue.
looks like the TQ can get in the way of a draw to the Glock?
Laying flat it looks that way, but when its on body its curved away from the grip. Haven't had any issues drawing in a variety of positions yet. That being said, when I was able to use the Safariland drop flex adapter, I was able to mount the TQ in front of the holster. I liked that much better.
Any problems with up and down movement using the molle-loks on the glove holder and light holder from zero9?
Yes actually! Initially this was kind of, but not really an issue for me. I solved it by applying some self-adhesive velcro to the interior of the molle-lok. This did make it a bit of a tighter fit, but it stopped the up/down movement.
Thanks for the info, seems like a solid fix. I'm looking at some zero9 stuff for a new belt setup and was trying to figure that out
What happened to the red and blue peerless cuffs?
In the duty bag in the car as a back up set. New policy requires standardized coloring of cuffs across officers.
@@JTFActual Nice! your earlier video is what inspired me to carry Peerless cuffs on duty it was really cool learning about the history of the company and those new Zero 9 holsters are pretty slick.
@@johnlynch1896 That makes me really glad to hear that I had a little impact on your gear! One of the main reason I do little stuff like this. I still carry peerless as well (the hinged) but I was gifted the S&W so I started to carry those as well.
Are the Zero9 handcuff cases attached with tekloks? Just picked up a molle belt for patrol and trying to find the best way to attach stuff to it without losing Velcro real estate.
Hey there, the cuff pouches can be mounted using tekloks or Molle-loks. If you want my opinion, get the tekloks and order some of this industrial velcro on Amazon: amzn.to/3igo6sI or they sell it in the arts and crafts section at Walmart usually. Cut to size and then apply the appropriate velcro section to the INSIDE and OUTSIDE of the teklok hinged portion. This will keep your cuffs from moving up, down or side to side. It will also keep you from losing Velcro real estate like you said. Pro tip, if you clean the plastic surfaces with a degreaser or alcohol and let it dry prior to attaching the velcro, it will stick way better.
Great, thanks brother!
Nice setup bro , now that I am a sheepdog now I can carry the handcuffs I issued my self lol,
Your mags should be up front on the left or right side. Good video. Our Dept. We have to use Safariland Basket weave pouches and holsters and sambrown belts or plane black leather. No nylon velcro.
Mags (minus the rifle) sit at about my 10 o'clock for the 2 reloads and my 1 o'clock for the cross draw reload. rifle has to be at my 9 or it digs into my side or vest. We are slowly transitioning away from leather except for dress uniforms. Daily grind belts are usually nylon or MOLLE at this point. Officers have to supply their own equipment for the most part so it's a bit of a mix.
Check out X Belts. They now make a Molle compatible basket weave belt.
I haven't checked in in a while. No more drop flex panel? Why the change? Also great vid.
I still really like the drop flex adapter from Safariland, but at my current agency it was considered a "drop leg holster" and not on the approved list of equipment. The low ride adapter I'm using is the same as a Safariland low ride adapter, but just uses a leg strap so for some reason that was ok.
@@JTFActual Roger that.
