6000HP Boat engine and a 3412 CAT Engine hear them run!

Check out as I diagnose a 3412 CAT Engine on a boat with two 3000hp EMD engines. Marine mechanic hard at work. Oil sample showed fuel dilution in the oil. Follow along as I trouble shoot and run this high horse power engine from a five gallon bucket of diesel.

Cool thanks for sharing! I bought an old trashed 3412 and myself and my 10 year old son are rebuilding it. It's a 3412A , direct injection with the capsule injectors. The engine sat outside for years and was completely rusted solid. We completely disassembled it, block and crank were good. We got some 3412B heads from Ralston diesel going out of business. 7000 series injectors. The injector pump was missing the governor so I bought another injection pump. This other pump also doesn't have too much movement going on so we'll have to take it apart and see if it's salvageable. If you know a good injection pump guy let me know!
