Great vid, Piet. As a non farmer, I've often wondered how hard it was to replace those curtains. First time ever seeing that method of spreading manure instead of filling and dragging huge tankers behind.
Hi Piet. Snow on the ground !!! Here in Montreal it is (36f) at 5pm, Wednesday evening. It will drop to (28f) with flurries over night. Down to (27f) by Sunday. We have been dusted a few times since Friday last. The farm looks to be ready for Winter now. Hope all is well out there.
Incredible to see spreding manure this way nowadays How do they move the hoses towards the tractor all the time Pete? And how far from the source can they spread it for you?
The tractor pulling the implement also pulls the hose back and forth. They also have an implement on another tractor they will use to move the hose if necessary. They can go as far as we want if they have the hose to reach it. They just add pumps the further we go. The furthest we've went is about 5 miles.
Hiya Piet, ty for another interesting video. We got some unexpected snow last night ( just enough to cover the grass ), and freezing temps . Too early for us in NE rural Ohio, usually we some around Thanksgiving and or Christmas. How long the curtains last? Stay warm, be well stay safe.
Stay safe and warm
good stuff --- hose dragging in the middle - fix went it warms up a little !!! -- burning lots of Diesel !!
To soon for snow. Great videos. Like when you have the boys riding around with you and seeing them on the farm. That’s pretty cool. God bless
Thank you!
I’m in Minot and we ended up with 14.8” in that storm.
Too much too early!

It really helps speed up manure application and keeps traffic off of the roads.
Great video Piet!

Very short autumn in ND, only a few days between finishing harvest and first snow.

It depends on how well we take off them. We still have some original ones that are 14 years old. If we can get 10 years out of them, I'm satisfied.
@@pietvanbedaf-nddairyfarmer9047 Awesome, hope you and family is having a great weekend. Ty for replying.
Mooie beelde . Waarom rijd hij niet de werkgangen aansluitend. Maar zit er ruimte tussen?
Zijn dat spuit sporen in de toekomst
De GPS was en beetje af, ze hadden net trekkers gewiselt.
Thank you for sharing. How do you deal with the manure from the dairy farm?
We store our manure and land apply in the spring and fall on land that will grow corn.
How come they are leaving a four foot strip
They had changed tractors that morning because one had a problem. They had set the GPS off a little by accident.
