You know this really explained my fear in general. That i am in a box and once i succeed happiness or my goal i would feel empty. Just like he finally went through that hole and then found nothing else to it, thats my fear

But in reality, once you achieve your goal, you can always find a new goal. We are never ever, limited to just one goal in life. And by achieving one, you always gain something from it. Whether it's a new computer or a new sense of self. And something I've learned, happiness isn't something to succeed. Never chase happiness, just do what makes you happy.

But, unexpectedly , the way out came to him! The way out did not depended of his efforts. Instaed, the way out came like a "boom", ilogical, from nowhere, without explication. What´s happened? This makes me think that thinking and controling maybe is not the best way to connect with ourselfs. There is something else!! Peace!

Robert: Nope, the bleakness of our lives actually "ARE" unbearably oppressive, and gets more and more oppressive as time goes on (Govt infliction on society). And "humanity" has already ceased to exist - and gone right out the window, long ago. Sadly "this" is the reality right now. And we all have to manage our lives around it, and in the midst of it, as best we can. It's a rat-race, dog-eat-dog and survival of the fittest. No place for rose-tinted glasses.

He finally figured out how to escape, only to find himself trapped in another box, only with more light this time. He is understandably frustrated, as I suspect he hoped for better. Life typically offers us more choices and more ways to escape the boxes we may find ourselves in and more diversions within any given box. This story is a variation of countless stories written by junior high school kids - he escapes the box! Only to find himself in another box! Yeah, I wrote those same stories in Junior High.

I feel like this could be a representation of life and how people have the same routine every day and a job they don't like, etc. like the box represents the confinements of life. The way it fell naturally to me suggests death..after a lifetime of trying to get to escape somehow, naturally your life ends but there is this box which is a higher place, like heaven or something along those lines, but it ends up being just the same, but more dream like..notice how it seems there isn't a hole in the second box, because after the 'afterlife' you can't really die..

This reminds me of one of those bad, surreal dreams where I don't seem to have an actual body but I'm able to see and hear everything, like my head is stuck inside a dark box. I'm trying to breathe deeply because I feel kind of suffocated and I'm trying to reach around to make sense of my surroundings but it's impossible because I don't have arms or legs.
A perfect description of the choices we make in our lives and how our wisdom and intelligence work on those life choices. In the end, if we are able to accomplish what we wanted to, in our lives, what will we do after that. Even this is shown accurately.

I'm no artist/critique but loved the representation! The bgm is not grim which creates a lighter note for this dark short. According to my perspective, the box is the human mind and the figurine within is the imposed duality of human beings. One tries to escape but finds trapped within oneself.

Though I felt letdown when filmmaker took the viewers into this box but leaving us and the figure without an escape... afterall who among us did not feel empathy for it, then sadness at the end? At least it now has a place to sit, but I would prefer to spend my days in the shadows of the box below and not in the glaring light
