No way in crap that I would drive over that bridge! In fact, when the waters recede, the state needs to come in and inspect the footings to make sure that they haven't been compromised by the water. I doubt that will happen though.
This is nothing compared to when they had 4 gates open with water going over the other gates and spillway in 2003 or 2004. They shut down the bridge cause water was splashing onto hwy 16 and bridge was unstable. It all happened after hurricane Francis and hurricane Katrina dropped rain for a week straight
This was during hurricane season in NC. The dam is preventing overflow of the lake behind it by letting up two doors. The erosion is from all flooding.
Your overheard road shot is perfect!
Don't think I would drive over that bridge though
this is one of the more beautiful things i’ve seen/listened to in a while. nice symmetry with nice music.
I wonder if that’s the bridge that just had a section collapse today. That’s a lot of force hitting those supports.
Great job on the video. Hope all of you are safe. Best from Hertford NC
Seems reckless to let people drive on the highway as it could fail at any moment
Seems reckless to stay in your house because it could collapse at any moment
Jordan: Very well done. You are the best brother

Well I’m second and am also a drone pilot.
All means nothing I’m still second.
Good shots, I think I’d be driving across those bridges faster though.
Amazing shots! Great job 👍!
Wow...
Thank you

Looks like we may be close to that level again after Helene. They shut the road down today.
what am i looking at some water flowing over a dam and some erosion ??? just trying to clarify
