That was a fishing contest you passed, they fish for 4-5 hours and then weigh the fish, the winner is the one with the heaviest weight. Quite common but usually at weekends.
Hi guys from Redcliffe Qld.! Gosh the song you played had some encouraging words for this lock down time in history! I love some of your music. Yesterday it was a beautiful 33 and a lot of people were at the beach and at the coffee outdoor shops! So much for locking yourself away! I was pleased cause we keep forgetting we are supposed to be over the top fearful and shut in! Yes there is wisdom but a lot of people enjoyed the day. Bye I hope it warms up for you soon!
That was a sorry looking vessel @4.12, but prior looked like that Aussie fellow Plucka Duck had been busy. Noted that @ 5.24 rations had recommenced ;-) Nice country you're travelling thru' again.
Due to time travel, you are entering my favorite time of year where as here in the future in Florida it is the first day of Spring and then the dreaded Summer. At least through you young people I will be able to live through my favorite time of year again, Fall and Winter. Take care and God Bless from, well, Florida.
Good vlog thank you. We were saying just this morning how much we look forward to your vlogs, they’re very professional, well done. Just in the throws of cancelling our trip this August to do the Llangollen in a hire boat. Very disappointed. NZ closed its border last night.
The scenery on your Vlogs is really beautiful. The hum of the motor is a great relaxant.. Hoping your families in Australia are well and safe. Wishing you safety and safe journeys.
The Gailey lock keeper gave us a tour of the cottage(?) on one trip through many years ago. The roof was built to collect water. Kind of interesting design. Glad you edited out the rain again 😏
Lol you two the fisherman lined up like that was a fishing match we used to curse oats when they came up/down the canal as it disturbs the fish and scattered the bait.Nice vlog weather looked good for October take care 😀😀
I am viewing this Vlog on March 19, 2020, and have a few questions. When you are working, are you usually able to still live on your narrowboat? How do you find the work? Registry, or ........? Is the 'Virus' causing you a significant lessening of job opportunities?
Hi Tom, we live on the boat full-time and work from the boat. Our main income is Maggie’s web design business and we will probably be slightly affected by the COVID-19 in terms of work, but we will get by.
THE FISHERMEN WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A COMPETITION SO SPACED APART...FISH FOR SO MANY HOURS THEN COUNT UP WHO HAS THE BIGGEST WEIGHT OF FISH IF THEY HAVE CAUGHT THEM....SOME OF THEM CAN BE REALLY NARKY TO BOATS GOING BY,,,,,EVEN MORE SO TO WALKERS AND BIKERS....
in these times just look at pixel to make you feel better
Hahaha, exactly! 😂❤️
Thanks Maggie and Ryan for these vlogs, we enjoy watching in these dark times, stay safe 😊
You’re welcome, glad you enjoy them!
Another benefit of keeping the fire going - the toilet seat isn't freezing!

I still like the Harry Potter hat, keep on going strong you two.
Greetings.

We went the opposite way in July last year.
It’s a lovely section of canal
With the COVID-19 now around the world..
How are you three coping?
Take extra care, blessings
We’re doing okay, thanks, just staying on the boat as much as possible. You take care x
What kind of fish are there in the canal? Do you ever catch and cook them?
No idea... we personally don’t catch any - no patience for fishing!
