Just finished the quest. All I could say is that, this is the very first open-world gacha where the basic dialogue scenes felt like anime scenes. The expression and the camera movements really adds to the immersion. They're not just stationary and static planks talking to each other. I remember when Dong said that they want to make the game feel like anime. And they succeeded with that especially on the newer patches and content. The story is short and sweet. The writing is good and it doesn't detract from the fact that they still live in a dangerous world. I love how Zhezhi wasn't forced to know us in the cutscene since she's a stranger after we finished her story quest. The mini get-togethers with the characters are nice and builds their character and the rover's relationship with them. Xiangli Yao's story is good. His reference to Sisyphus. And the connection of his to the lodge. Most importantly, they gave him a flaw. He's longing for human connection. Which makes him relatable despite being a genius. This maybe a filler patch but it was made well with attention to detail like the characters roaming the area and the fireworks we can activate. The voiced NPCs. And the sound design.
Exactly! Aside from the cinematic camera movement, the character animations within the dialogue are spot on. The way the characters have unique animations instead of boring premade assets that feel repetitive, can move their eyebrows, their eyes, their pupils, mouths , play with objects, interact… it feels like an anime! It’s one of my favorite aspects of the game.

Back in 1.0, I wasn't a fan of Yangyang, Chixia and Baizhi. But now, its so nice to see three of them together. I hope we get to hangout more with them in the future 🥰

They would take other peoples credit when they had no invovlement just to boost their image to the public and throw whoever were trhe real heros under the bus. They would skip out on their expeditions and hang out in the plains, making you take messaged to there girlfiends to tell them how brave they were. All lies and corruption (Jean obviously the only one trying). But here, these patrollers and mightnight rangers are out their putting their lives on the line, Spilling blood to protect Jouzou. Clear difference.
Everyone having a group photo together while Jinhsi is alone on top reminiscing Jue, and Jiyan still on duty. They both hold so much value in this scene even without being with the others.
After all, these two are carrying the whole city on their backs, our dragon characters xD But I'm happy that Jinhsi managed to come to the festival. Sadly, Jiyan couldn't but at least Rover visited him
I like the fact that we see the consequences of war when talking with the NPC's, we can see what happened with their families and how they deal wih that pain.
I love that we can see the relationship development between Rover (us) and Xiangli Yao. I don't mean the obvious flirting at the end. During the event's story, we gradually go from calling him by his full name, Xiangli Yao, to just his first name, Yao. He also stands closer to us during cutscenes, such as the last bit of the side story (the side quest to watch the moon together), and he smiles more often. Wuwa isn't subtle with their characters flirting, but Yao's feels more wholesome and developed. I absolutely love this sweetheart of a man 🫶❤
The biggest thing I general want from MCs, is having them change the lives around him/her. It seems to hint this ahppaned alot in the past (like changlis story and her master). and its happening now even with no memories. I hope kuro continue this way. So I know it wont go as far as relationships and stuff, but you can tell the NPCs around really come to adore Rover. They get smitten, and hey, with female rover, how can you blame them ^_~

Man this quest really blew me away. It was a ton of fun but damn, such an unexpectedly tragic, dark, and emotional twist. Had me engaged throughout, and I absolutely love Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi.

Rover having so many voicelines in this quest was everything to me 😭! I really felt connected to the mc and felt his/her emotions it was an AMAZING experience I want moree (Thank you, wuwa dev team!)
not gonna lie but Kurogames story will always keep evolving.Yeah their beginning story maybe rough even borderline bad because massive rewritting but i always have faith in them they could do better and they slowly but surely show it to the player from 1.0 act 4-5 until now.They really combine dark grim post appocalypse story but still having a moment of hope for humanity like this.I have faith in them cause the one the one that write Surviving Lucem chapter in PGR are the head writter of wuwa now.This is just a glimpse of their greatness.

Who let Kuro cook? This was a masterpiece. I really enjoyed doing the quest with the pretty boy, Xiangli Yao, can't wait to get him for free and beat up ugly echoes in the field.
This is the first time in my life where I was more excited about an event story than the gameplay and rewards. I didn’t skip a single line, even NPCs backstories had me invested. The dialogue was very well written and executed, the plot incredible, and the voice acting was so good (Rover had so many lines too!) It was pure CINEMA. I was and am still blown away. Hands down best event I’ve ever played in a gacha game. Thank you Kuro for all the efforts you put to deliver such a masterpiece ❤
True. I love how they have showed us the story of the sideline characters and npc. Knowing the story of the soldiers and the family of the deceased soldiers makes you feel more about the main story ( like i now know why jinhsi and the other officials from jinzhou wanted to protect peace at all cost).
I‘m absolutely loving the whole event, it is easily the best one this far for me. I love all the small interactions with our friends and I really enjoyed hearing rovers voice more often too. It was a ton of fun ✨🥰
I hope the game gets the recognition it deserves, but even if they don't, I want Kuro to know I appreciate all they're doing and this update is memorable, thank you and keep it up guys!
Jiyan shows a true life of a military general may it be a festival or any other big occasion they are always at our borders protecting the country . Can relate so much because of my father being in the military as well .
And it's wholesome how the initially fatigue midnight rangers immediately regain their strength knowing the festival is going smoothy by the looks of the fireworks. TD ain't gonna stop invading, soo any reassurance hat their home and families are save is enough motivation for them to keep on going.
@@Gaeul-j3j totally agree! For some reason, they managed to make so many moments relatable. From Xiangli Yao's longing for connection. Zhezhi's insecurity. Jiyan's dedication to his duty. Even the NPCs are relatable. The depressed scientist and his friendship, the grandma mourning the loss of her son, and the children learning that to be a hero doesn't require something special as a forte. I did not expect this from a filler patch.
This event made me understand how each character goes around living their life in the world of wuthering waves, the stories in it and the mini game really gave me a feel and understanding of each character, amazing work!
Anyway, we do be laughing, but I relate to the stories because I too have depression, putting on a smiley face, just lost my sister, and have regrets, so… 💀😭👌

This cinematic truly warmed my heart ❤ I usually record every cinematic in every game but I realised that it was taking way too much space in my camera roll 😅, so I decided not to record any in Wuthering Waves but this one ! I had to record it ! Seeing everyone enjoying the festival, and we really get to see a vast majority of the characters which is so cute ! 😍 Even Zhezhi who isn’t comfortable with social interactions is here it’s such a nice detail ! 😭🫶 Plus the group photo is everything, I have to get this in my camera roll 😂🩷 This event was really great ! Hope the next ones will be just as good 🫶

Can't described how much I enjoy this patch, but Kuro I got teary eyes from the start until the end of the festival. AND ZHEZHI'S COMPANION STORY ALSO AHDHDJJDKSK. SO GOOD. Good job Kuro, Good job. This patch truly is a filler, filled my heart that is.
The VA work direction saw a massive upgrade. Thank you! Animation is top notch as always but even that looks like it just keeps getting better. This is a game for the long term!
i loved the story and enjoyed getting the companions for the wishing but i would have loved it even more if the quest to get all of the companions voiced as well..
It's not too big of a deal considering this is just a cutscene of many, people should be prepared to be spoiled after seeing the words "STORY" Cinematics
This event was really really good, i've enjoyed myself throughout it and all the quests it brought. The quest lines from both characters were really well done and emotional, just perfect. I hope future events/patches will be this enjoyable! 😄
already done the day it came out and i want more. plus there are two extra scenes on the final part of the quest im sure a lot of people enjoyed it. i specially love it on my male rover. its super cute haha
After so much overtime they make this the best animation it was worth it. I hope they don't push too much and take care of their own body that way they can make some more unexpected and cool animation like this in the future.

This was so good in game and the Moon Chasing Festival in general was such a pleasure to experience. Kuro has put together a special team and they are making such a fantastic game.

I finished this too early now I feel kinda sad looking at this video :(( It's so amazing they made two separate videos for both rovers and published them together like this so that all players feel included regardless of their choice. OMG THIS WAS SO AMAZING!!! Xiangli Yao’s story was so good and I have fallen in love with him even more then I was before… he’s hot and has an emotional backstory, and he’s hot and cute, and he can do science stuff and he’s hot, and he is such a kind soul, and he’s hot. Not much more I can say

This cinematic truly warmed my heart ❤ I usually record every cinematic in every game but I realised that it was taking way too much space in my camera roll 😅, so I decided not to record any in Wuthering Waves but this one ! I had to record it ! Seeing everyone enjoying the festival, and we really get to see a vast majority of the characters which is so cute ! 😍 Even Zhezhi who isn’t comfortable with social interactions is here it’s such a nice detail ! 😭🫶 Plus the group photo is everything, I have to get this in my camera roll 😂🩷 This event was really great ! Hope the next ones will be just as good 🫶

Can't described how much I enjoy this patch, but Kuro I got teary eyes from the start until the end of the festival. AND ZHEZHI'S COMPANION STORY ALSO AHDHDJJDKSK. SO GOOD. Good job Kuro, Good job. This patch truly is a filler, filled my heart that is.
