Melody Thomas Scott was not the only actress who plays Nicki. The actress who originally played Nicki was named Erica Hope. I believe she played the role of Nicki for less than 2 years. Melody Thomas Scott took over and has played Nicki ever since.

Personally, Peter's the best 'Jack Abbott' and the mid-80's to 90's plus was just fantastic for Y&R in England. It was taken off English TV so after 'Victor's many deaths, his flat mate 'Douglas', Blade's double twin, Michael Baldwin stalking Cricket, Lauren and Sheila, Katherine's many dialogues with Jill and Esther, Jill trying to fathom out if Katherine was her real mother, Victoria and Ryan, Nikki & Victoria both fancying Cole, Nick Newman turning against Victor, Victor in prison, Cassie's death....John Abbott always the mediator with Victor, the rivalry between Jabot and Newman Enterprises, Paul Williams' secretary clearly in love with Paul, Victor and Hope, Phyllis and Nick, Drucilla and Neil, Olivia and Nathan, Gloria and Kevin ...OMG, so many great stories and characters now I start to think back. I just wish CBS would allow old full episodes to be uploaded to be viewed again by us fans, that despite it finishing in the UK, we have never forgotten it.

Richard Cleveland she's back. She has to be one of the worst actresses on a soap opera. I will say over the years she has gotten better. The first four years she was so bad that I think a cat could have done a better job
Have watched the show since 1977, was in Junior High. Several years ago, Lauralee Bell was quite literally involved in every story line YandR had. Then the show got really boring. Now that she's on only once in a while, it's not so bad. The show doesn't need to revolve around the bosses daughter,

I love the Abbott family. After a big noise over Victor Newman which I found a big bore it is nice to see the Abbott family celebrated. Jack is a bigger star than Victor and a better man.
