It has a 60% score because it's just a fun movie. This is what action movies were in the 80s. It's what comedies were in the early '00s.
Characters could absolutely be better, it has rough edges, but good GRIEF I'd love another space opera setting that wasn't managed by utterly incompetent people
It is also way more derivative of Warhammer than Starwars...
I just saw it like the D&D movie... but if someone was running a space opera setting

Didn't expect this film would have big battle scenes. The barn scene with the villagers & soldiers felt intense. This film is going harder than I expected.
Why would you not expect big battle scenes from a Snyder movie? Lol! Especially a space epic. One thing Snyder movies don’t lack are battle scenes… I’m hoping he finally nails a good solid story to match it.

This looks really promising, but I am also a little bit afraid that the movie is not more than a hollow visual spectacle. This would be - in my opinion - a waste, since there is A LOT of potential for really good and innovative storytelling here. I hope for the best! 🤞

This kinda looks like a remaking of that 80s movie...can't remember the name...but the hero ship looked like basically a female reproductive system...Battle for the Stars or something like that. There was a 'luke' character...a 'han' character....a warrior princess... these three lil aliens and a bounty hunter
