That post ending was funny, been there done that ;) Great review! The C6 Z06 manual is in my shortlist. Low mileage examples still relatively affordible, and 0-60 mid 3's with a stick - not bad! I do like that C8 interior and the arrangement helps keep a passenger's paws at bay too.

He just had a baby though, so hopefully he'll at least hold onto it for a little while, and give me a chance to drive it!!! 🤞 I saw a BEAUTIFUL dark blue C7 Z06 on the road last night, and I thought to myself, that exact car is definitely one of my (attainable) dream cars. I probably would still wait a little bit longer for the prices to level out, but who knows what the future holds? It seems like they went down a bit, but not that much, and now they're just kind of staying stagnant... And yes! You definitely just put the passenger there, and tell them to sit down and hang on lol. I like to window shop over at Cars & Bids. Doug says the C5 Z06s are much less common than the C6 versions which means you can still have what is arguably a better sports car (the C6 Z06) for less money. Getting close to scoring that decent job so hopefully 2024 will be the year to add that 2nd vehicle. I just checked out your feed and it seems there are a couple of your channel videos to catch up on! This gray rainy day (at least up here in Central Florida) will be a great day to do that.

@@DoubleClutchAutoReviews I generally don't pay attention to any EV reviews on principle.... but will make an exception for you 🤪 I did watch your starter replacement video, you are a lucky man to have a gf to take care of camera duties 📽The only thing I would have done different is wash the battery box out while it was empty 🚿I have an older Mercedes diesel SUV that I had custom ordered from the factory back in 2007 - still going strong! Coming up on 240,000 miles. I'll do air filters, batteries, interior updates like speakers, head units, and other misc. work, but for drivetrain-related repairs usually leave it to my trusted mechanic who is Mercedes certified. I do believe that ML320 will see me to my dying day, or at least to when driving is no longer possible LOL
@@hardchemist I get you brother. As far as the green movement to push for all EV one day goes, I am not a fan. Being a red-blooded car enthusiast aside, I think the consumer should always have an option between EV and combustion motors. Also, people think that going EV is going to save the environment. However, they have no idea how not environmentally friendly EVs can be. Forget about all the practically slave-driven mining going on in Africa to get all of the minerals necessary to make EVs and what not… I will say though, all of those thoughts aside, you will not believe how blisteringly fast this Tesla was! It feels like it could practically rip your face off the acceleration is so immense. As a car guy, fun factor is what matters most to me, and that ABSOLUTELY did not disappoint. Watching the full throttle digs, I’m sure you will agree my man. 😎

The little vents that allow water near the engine give me anxiety 😫 and the passenger seat timeout corner got me dead 😅 and that screen with all the telemetry is insaneeeeee

Perhaps they could've designed them in a way that would allow heat extraction, but not allow water to just fall right through?.. Idk. That's probably way more complicated than it sounds lol. And yes, it certainly is a timeout corner hahah but oh well! I have a feeling a lot of Corvette owners like that feature.
