Ha! That's pretty damned awesome. I didn't know anyone made a bypass hose. I've always just used one of the existing hoses. That's definitely one I'm going to remember.
If you type in your year make and model into autozone and search it alot of times it wont come back or says it doesnt fit but this is like universal and has different connecters so its made for alot of vehicle's
Been there done that lol i didn't know they made kits. I think astro makes a pneumatic gun to flush heater cores but never used one personally. Always tried to sell a replacement one bonus if fleet work is they'll usually pay for a replacement lol did three f450 evap cores in a week once lmao
The heater core has coolant run throught it and if it Start leaking Then you lose coolant which can cause overheating to the engine. So people bypass it because by passing. The heater core is cheap, easy and fast to fix. And on most vehicles to replace the heater core the whole has to come out. Which is very time consuming and can be pretty expensive labor wise. If you have a shop, do it but the problem with it is you will have absolutely no heat in the winter so it's Is more of a temporary fix in my opinion hope I helped
The coolant system works as a complete unit and it has a path to always follow, some manufacturers have to absolutely flow through the heater core or it won't make it back to the water pump or radiator and cause more overheating issues; by eliminating the flow with the heater core. A bypass is to allow coolant flow so it won't have complications getting back to the radiator or water pump.
@MrBundre sir saakin bynypass ang result nag babawas ng coolant wla namang leak ang hose. Ano po kaya ang posibleng prob. at ano po ang advantage ng pagbybypass? TIA po.
Never knew they made a bypass kit for the heater core. I always went to the hardware store and got a double male fitting that was the size of the inside diameter of the hoses and connected them together. Only cost a few dollars. Cheaper than the bypass kit.
Totally failed without the restrictor Too much flow engine runs cold only getting 10 miles per gallon and got it come up with some type of longer pipe and restriction to stimulate the heater core
Not sure how bypassing the heater core will fix anything. A clogged heater core will not overheat the engine so why would anyone spend money and time to bypass it?
The heatercore was leaking causing coolant to leak inside passenger floorboard and to replace heater core is about $500 labor customer did not have that much money so by doing a bypass it quits leaking and AC still works but the heat doesnt work which is ok now because were in summer
Leaking & losing coolant. And some are a disaster to replace depending on make and model. Some you have to literally almost tear the dash apart and console
I’m no mechanic what is the reasoning for bypassing the heater core? Does it end up requiring more fuel to run overall? Or is it just too goddam hot out where you live and the cabin doesn’t need to be warmed.
The reason some one will do this is the heater core has coolant run through it and if the heater core starts leaking you could run of coolant and over heat the engine and in most vehicles to fix the heater core you have to take the whole dash our of the vehicle which is vary time consuming and vary expensive to have a shop to do it so this heater core bypass is a easy fast and cheap fix but the problem with it is you will have absolutely no heat in the winter time so it's a good short term fix hope I helped you understand more
Huh I never knew that kit existed... I just been using fittings and scrap hoses like a caveman lmao
I've been there and done that. Yep, even if the peeps at autozone say it doesn't fit your vehicle, it really does
I like how a lot of us commented to bypass the heater core in your last video, and now you make a video about it :).
We need more men like you in this world, our younger gen is lost
What’s crazy is he’s only 25
Sad that with engineering we could make the heater core accessible from the firewall and not inside
And who needs heat inside the cab during the winter months in the northeast!!! Who cares 😂😂😂😂
Yeah, like who needs heat in the dead of winter....😅
Good thing its summer
Mr. buddy heater works wonders when you don’t have the money to repair it.. lol I did that in my old F150 years ago.
Thank god for you
Wheres my tip lol
Great video. If it isn't worth having the heater core replaced you wont likely find a mechanic to do it for you. Gotta do it yourself.

Well done man
Just what i need ❤ does it have any bad consequences later??
I'm more surprised seeing a heater core that didn't have plastic nipples than anything
Keep 2 of them on my service truck at all times
They are beautiful
Nice.
Thanks!
Why would one do a heater core bypass though? Does it benefit the vehicle in any way or?…

Great video, how long approximately would it last.
What does by passing it do? Or why???
Yeah…wondering that as well 😂😂

@@joaquinw7896 so if your leak is at the heater core you bypass it so your engine can still run smoothly then
@@chuck2994 so the coolant can continue to flow. Some manufacturers need it to continue the flow or the coolant won't complete the cycle.

Cool video !
Will your AC still work when you bypass the heater core ?
Yes. Because you are just blocking the hot coolant from circulating through the heater core, has nothing to do with your AC
@@Roger_Rabbit_Adventures Thanks ! Yep AC is still ice cold ❄️ 👍
You should be rich bro your videos are so cool
Hell yeah
Who needs heater in southeast asia anyway
Why would you need to bypass a heater core other than for troubleshooting purposes?
Never knew they made a bypass kit for the heater core. I always went to the hardware store and got a double male fitting that was the size of the inside diameter of the hoses and connected them together. Only cost a few dollars. Cheaper than the bypass kit.
Yes done that a few times

Only for a core leak.
What happens when you need the heater in the winter?
You shiver because you are too cheap to get it repaired.
carry wood in trunk start fire as needed
Yeah cause heater core replacement suck on any vehicle I feel
Is that the same for the rear heater core?
I tried for w124 and it didn't work, i think the water diagram is different
It must not get used in winter
Ok y do u bypass a heater core ????
It's probably leaking and losing coolant
Leaking & losing coolant. And some are a disaster to replace depending on make and model. Some you have to literally almost tear the dash apart and console
Why would you want to bypass a heater core?
Only for leaking coolant. Otherwise, spend the money to repair.
Why you are bypassing the heater core in the first place
Only for a leak.
Mine worked but i burped it......fan feels cooler....no ac either
Texas yes. Nebraska no.
I found bam lol
BYPASSED now it gets 10 mpg wtf!!!!!! 4 cyl d21
Replace the heater core
Give me the $3,000 and I will!😊
