Great video. Just changed the oil on my Palisade for the first time. I'd been taking it in for the complimentary oil changes provided by Hyundai. Glad I saw this video and just needed to pick up a 27mm socket and was done in just 20 minutes. Thanks again for this nice detailed video.
Great question! I would try a couple things, 1st check to see if your filter housing has any cracks, it is made of plastic! I’ve never been a fan that they made them out of plastic. 2nd there have been a few times I’ve thought mine was tightened up real nice but found out it was not as it leaked and I had to tighten it up more. 3rd the housing could be screwed on awkwardly making oil leak out. Lastly do you have the rubber washer (mine was red in the video) around your housing? Hope one of those may have helped. Good luck, hope it stops leaking for you 👊
@@problemfixd1414 I didn’t see any cracks and I tightened it as much as it would go. I took off the new oil filter gasket and replaced it with the old thinking that would help because it’s a little smaller but no it’s still leaking. I’ve also tried 3 times screw on unscrew to make sure it was in right. I mean it doesn’t move anymore and I don’t want you to crack it by over tightening it
Thank you just did mine today!

What do you use to lift the front of the vehicle up to access the oil pan?

My oil filter house is leaking oil around the litttle lip but it’s tight with no gap what could it be?

How did you loosen oil filter housing
Used a Ratchet socket wrench
