An amazing, apocalyptic soundscape of a song with those droning guitars. I'm shocked it only has 6,000 views and only 91 Likes....You have to know the lyrics to really appreciate it: "They found me a country Far from my home Sent me on an airline And told me where I'm going Well, I know they tried to get me here Just to see if I would fly So find me So I found this civilization That they told me all about There were boats inside of waterfalls With people jumping out of the Ocean that kept flaming up But I know it's all a lie So find me There's a thousand million voices Screaming in my eyes Preachers in the forest Sirens in the sky Well, I walk around and I cry a lot Thought that I would die Find me" I can't stop imagining what a video of this song would like. Put a great science-fiction film director on it.
This is a fantastic rock track and deserves far more than the current 5,000 plus views I've just seen. The lead guitar is brilliant. The whole track is brilliant.
Brilliant soundscape, and that D drone effect that sounds like the north wind is artfully cribbed from the Boston classic More Than A Feeling. Line the two up and listen to the last ten seconds particularly. Haunting.
Alan McGee of Creation records said when he first heard My Bloody Valentine he thought they were like a British Husker Du. This song makes him sound pretty smart. I hear echoes of “Loveless” in the droning outro another example of the Huskers huge influence on alternative rock.
It's rather " isn't anything". The guitar is harder , it's 80' not 90' and the topic is spiritual not sexual ! It's american not f...ing Tavistock English....but your instincts are good !
This is a masterpiece!!! so i find the civilization that they told me all about...whotta memories...great song...great solo...entering melodic...the best
... freakin' love this husker gem ... just heard a Grant Hart iteration of it acoustic which was amazing too ... love this band ... kudos out to the mighty Husker!
It was winter 1986. I had no life. We saw Husker Du for the first time one evening in Boston. I hated them. But, my roommate left a copy of "Flip Your Wig" on cassette behind when he returned to college... I will never forget nor understand what came over me as I began to listen to Find Me... It possessed me. & My life has not been the same since. End of story.
Find me a country Far from my home Sent me on an airline They told me where I'm going Well, I know they tried to get me here Just to see if I would fly Find me So I found this civilization That they told me all about There was boats inside of waterfalls With people jumping out Of the ocean that kept flaming up But I know it's all a lie Find me There's a thousand million voices Screaming in my eyes Preachers in the forest Sirens in the sky Well, I walked around and I cried a lot Thought that I would die So find me

"They found me a country
Far from my home
Sent me on an airline
And told me where I'm going
Well, I know they tried to get me here
Just to see if I would fly
So find me
So I found this civilization
That they told me all about
There were boats inside of waterfalls
With people jumping out of the
Ocean that kept flaming up
But I know it's all a lie
So find me
There's a thousand million voices
Screaming in my eyes
Preachers in the forest
Sirens in the sky
Well, I walk around and I cry a lot
Thought that I would die
Find me"

I absolutely fuckin love this song!
One of my favorite guitar solos.
Haunting melody.
Find me a country
Far from my home
Sent me on an airline
They told me where I'm going
Well, I know they tried to get me here
Just to see if I would fly
Find me
So I found this civilization
That they told me all about
There was boats inside of waterfalls
With people jumping out
Of the ocean that kept flaming up
But I know it's all a lie
Find me
There's a thousand million voices
Screaming in my eyes
Preachers in the forest
Sirens in the sky
Well, I walked around and I cried a lot
Thought that I would die
So find me
yep this my fav hd song
