I keep seeing these guitars in IG ads. They look like solid, quality guitars. I’ve been through, at least, 6 Les Pauls (primarily custom shops) and still have two remaining. I want to compare them to LP’s but they kinda seem like they’re their own thing, and would be awesome to be a part of my collection. Love the demo, man. Great playing and confirmed a bunch key things I’m looking for.
I’ll also say it’s different enough from a Les Paul to justify it. You can fully customize it with whatever pickups/bridge/wood/color/control setup you want to get some wild stuff! I’d love to get one with a pair of Firebird pickups in a thinline model next!
Damn man I never would have guessed how much I’d like that pickup setup. Any position with the firebird is just incredible. I’ve wanted a frank brothers and this video has pretty me pretty convinced. Does it stay in tune? Lol I can’t stand my les Paul sometimes because of the tuning issue.
They’re killer guitars! Yeah, stays in tune better than my 339 did for sure. You can get literally any tuning machines you want as well - I just liked the look and light weight of the Klusons! I have .11’s on it right now, but I may try .10 or .105’s to get a little more slinkiness.
@@neve4020 Yep. I borrowed an R8 that was really good from a friend while I was waiting on my Frank to get here, and while it sounded good, it was too heavy and didn’t play this well or have this many options 🤷🏻♂️
