Interesting. I made a preset on my Axe FX with with the Mesa 2c+ and York Audio cabs. 75’s and Vintage 30s mixed. Sounds great for Metallica lead tones
Once you have a background in electronics, it’s hard to see amps other than a collection of capacitors, resistors, vacuum tubes, transistors and transformers. I guess it’s kind of fun to be ignorant of actual electronics and think there is actual magic. My thoughts are the majority of any magic is in the speaker construction and how it interacts with the cabinet enclosure

The sound of an amp actually has more to do with the fine tuning of the amp and it's components than anything else. Plenty of people put together the components of a dumble amp but when they fire it up it sounds just average.

Those brands usually don't offer high-gain tube amps. Also they might be overpriced for some people and there are some alternatives. Fender is well critiqued for that. Some other brands make having tube amp a little easier by putting bias test points on the backpanel, having MIDI controllable channels, built in power soak and etc. Actually Fender EVH is a good exception, it has all of these features
I dont think Dumbles were designed to play chug chug, Another first for helmet hammet, he cant get a good tone from a dumble and then blames it on a crash it was in. Face up to it helmet, you cant play.
