Quite a few upgrades, I have a post on the 104001 owners group on facebook detailing the changes

    What body shell is that?

Would you say this car is a good platform for track beginners on a budget? It seems other options are way over budget and it’s easier to upgrade over time (financially)

I'd say yes, but with a list of caveats. The transmitter and receiver that it comes with has a input delay that seemed to go away when I put a receiver in for my normal transmitter. The suspension arms regularly pop off the ball ends with even light impacts, and are pretty much unusable for racing unless you replace them with the LC racing parts. The shock towers are very bendy and will need replacing fairly quickly. Finally, the chassis is flexible enough to let the centre driveshafts pop out in heavy landings. I 3D printed some top braces that fixed this, but I'm not sure if there's something that you can buy to do the same job. All those upgrades will still be cheaper than the LC10B5 and it should be good enough to learn on at the track. That said, it will still be a fair bit slower than a "proper" 4wd 1/10 buggy kit, so don't expect to compete for wins regularly.

Did you use the stock shock absorbers or did you upgrade those?

Stock ones on here, but they kept bending, so Im now using TLR ones
