He's very thorough, but very concise, and always plays exactly the right thing for what he's describing. Kudos to him as the King of all Reviewers ever!!
Looks like a great unit. However Boss should come up with a system for analog pedals that can be placed in a rack system and plugged into a multi input part then controlled by the board on stage maybe with an integrated midi cable. Because with this and most setups, you still need to have all pedals and pedal board on stage. We need a midi like setup for analog pedals.
Hi, Great review of the Boss ES8. Did I hear you say you could adjust the individual volume level of each loop/patch? I couldn't see that option.. Also if I use a dual Volume/Exp pedal can I program the unit to use either volume or expression independently? De activate the volume when i want to use the expression?
I have one of these ES-8's and the power and flexability of it are wonderful! BUT I have a ground/buzz/noise issue when using the 'FOUR Cable Method" I have a custom build tube amp that is whisper quiet for high gain metal, top notch Planet Waves cables, and a bundle of pedals. If I unplug any of the Vol/Loop cables or the amp lead itself the ground goes away. I have tried pretty much every trouble shooting trick out there to no availe. should I be using balanced cables for the loop? should I get an "HE-2" it seems that this FCM should be able to work for players with our this buzz/noise routine? any help would be awesome!
Hello. I would like to know if I can also use this as an ABY pedal so that I can select two amps at once or use them separately and if so how does that work with the ES-8? Thanks.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Maybe you can help me with a few questions. I'm a guitar player and singer in a portuguese band. As i sing and play at the same time it's very uncomfortable to be tapdancing. Some years ago i bought a Mooer L6 switcher. For the price i can't really complaint about it (the main problem is this kind of delay when you press the buttons, the sound kind of fades in). I've been using it to control my modulation pedals live, but i want to be able to control all pedals (dis, drive, boost, etc). This happens because i use my modulation in the fx loop of the amp and the other pedals in the front inside of the BOSS NS2 loop. My question is if using the boss es 8 four cable method feature i can route the pedals i want to the front and to the fx loop "separating" them but still using in the same loop system. Other thing i would like to know is how the boss NS2 loop would work in a foot switcher, i mean how can i still be using the noise surpressor loop or how can i use it still using a switcher. As i'm thinking of switching to another switcher, i would like to ask some of good choices for me besides the ES-8. What exact foot switchers can i use to route pedals to the fx loop and to the front of the pedal. Thank you.
how many midi pedals and equipment could it control?im looking at using the es-8 to change patches on the the pod hd pro,and change presets on the timefactor and change cabs with the torpedo cab.
Does this have the capability to switch from lead/rhythm channel to clean channel while turning off my boost and engaging my reverb at the same time? No effect pedals, all buttons from the footswitch of my amp? If so Im sold
I have a question about the ES-8, which I don't seem to be able to find an answer for in Roland's knowledge base. Let's assume I have two amps - one clean and one dirty. And I have some fx on my board (for this purpose, let's just talk about one delay pedal), that I want to run into both amps. Now, I want to know if the same pedal can be run into the fx loop of the dirty amp, and into the front end of the clean amp, using the ES-8. Suppose preset 1 has the clean amp, I want the delay running into the front end, and preset 2 has the dirty amp, with the SAME delay pedal running into its fx loop. Is this possible? And then when I toggle between preset 1 and 2, the output changes to the corresponding amp, along with the delay pedal's connections.
Up to how many parallel paths can you have in a pathchain?Meaning...if i have 8 loops connected can i do: Parallel(2,5,6) into Parallel(1,3) into Parallel(4,7) into 8?
Hi friend. Could you show me how i use MIDI? I have the Boss ES-8 and Marshall JVM 410 head with MIDI and i'm having troubles. How i make e configuration. The Midi channel marshall is number 1 of factory, but i tried all and i can't. I need some help. I have 2 pedals with MIDI (TC eletronics flashback delay X4 and Korg SDD 3000). Make a video to help us.
My question is... yes, so it can send out tap tempo and expression signals to pedals that accept that information-BUT how many at once? Let's say you have three pedals ALL looking for temp info (ex: chorus speed, delay rate, reverb reflections); wouldn't you therefore need THREE cables going out to those three pedals? Can the EX-8 somehow accommodate that? Is there such a thing as a "1-into-3 super-splitter" cable etc? (And I'm also guessing that, IF all three pedals utilize MIDI, then they _could_ all be set to receive the one tempo command which I'm _assuming_ the ES-8 could somehow be set up to send.). NOTE: I do not yet own the ES-8, only imagining the possibilities and entirely open to correction. Thx!
As long as I've played guitar 25yrs... I've never had or considered a switcher. I run a traditional stomp box setup, into a M13, into Fx loop of my amp. My question is can a "switcher" recall different settings/dials from your analogue pedals, for each preset? Ex: for one I have my Earthquaker Palisades set to OD mode low gain, then on another switcher preset have it set to palisades fuzz heavy gain? Or can it not do that, and when the switcher calls up that pedal it's stuck to whatever dials you have it on? What about a digital pedal, like a HX stomp? can you have the switcher call up different fx and settings from the Stomp, and assign them to different presets on the switcher?
This was so much info in such short time. Amazing video. I really think i need one of these with the amount of effect tap dancing i have to do. But this means i could only have 8 effect pedals.. does this thing work well with multi-effect pedals going into it?
Is it confusing that the loop switches are numbered in the opposite direction to the signal flow? Loop1 is far right (looking down Super OD) but Switch1 is located far left of the board.
But late to this comment but most people will label their patches on the board so they’ll have a Postit of piece of tape saying od or delay so you know which is which
Just bought BOSS ES-8 from you guys. :) Is running your Delays/Reverb through the Effects Loop of the amp the same concept as running the Delays/Reverb in Parallel on the BOSS ES-8?
Thanks for the video. I would like to ask the following question: Basically, effects like reverbs or delays are connected into the effects loop of an amp. From experience, I've noticed that with amps like the Marshall SC20C, for example, it makes a very big difference whether a reverb is connected to the amp's effects loop or directly to the input. If I understand correctly, the Boss ES-8 goes directly into the amp's input - how does that affect such effects as reverbs or delays? And how about placing such effects directly after the Effects Loop of the ES-8 and plugging into the input of the amp - does the ES-8 have any affect on that? Thank you a lot in advance for your help!
I had a question regarding this unit. Is it possible to run an output to the front of the amp and a second to the FX loop of an amp and still is the functions of the board? Say I wanted my dirt boxes to run to the input and my time based effects to run to the FX loop, but still patch them together. Is that a possibility?
Hey, Jacob! Thanks for your question. What you describe is generally termed "four cable method," and you can absolutely achieve that with the ES-8. Check this link: www.boss.info/us/support/knowledge_base/205748545/ Please contact me direct if I didn't understand your question clearly. Appreciate you reaching out! Hello there, thanks for this video. Do you know if you can send a midi out from let's say an Ableton session on click track to automatically switch from preset to preset during a song? So that Ableton sends midi signals to the ES8 to tell it to switch for one preset to another?
Hello, Vincent. Thanks for the question. This is a possibility, as long as you have the proper ins and outs. You will need a midi interface with at least midi out. Internally, you will set up a midi track to launch and adjust the output to control the ES-8. You will need the ES-8 MIDI control command and use Ableton to send that command to the ES-8. You will have to launch the clip in order to change the patch. Here is a video that we have that will help: ruclips.net/video/S-CrKp-BU_A/видео.html Please give me a call if you have any other questions. Can the Boss ES8 change amp channel and pedal fx at one click? per example change from clean amp channel with chorus pedal activated to crunch amp channel with delay and overdrive pedals activated?
If it was mounted on a board and the wires weren't such a mess it would have been more appealing. Still great instructional video. I was personally interested in knowing how it did with stereo pedals.
say, I have a multi effects pedals in the effects loop of my amplifier and I need switch from a clean tone to a hi gain tone and simultaneously switch a patch on my processor. Can the es-8 do that? As in, change the patch on my Processor and the amp channel at once?
I think so, but a couple guys in the comments above claim that it can't. I'm going to try and find out, I can let you know in this comments section if you like - or if you contact Roland via Facebook they might just tell you, they have responded to my direct queries before.
Ok, this from the Roland site entry on my ES-5 (the ES-8 *should* do the same) "The ES-5 turns any amp and pedalboard into one cohesive unit, with the added ability to connect it to an amp’s channel switching or any other footswitch that uses a standard 1/4″ TRS connection. Going from the Blues Driver with the H9 with a delay, with the amp on clean with no reverb, to the lead sound of the Peavy, reverb off, with the chorus on, was done in the touch of one button."
Looks like a really well thought out unit. It's kind of like a HD500X using real pedals and amps. I really like that the trails don't cut off when you switch things; that's a feature that the 500X lacks. This seems like a great solution for people who own a bunch of pedals. Great review as well; IMHO, Mitch is the best gear reviewer in the music industry, period.
The "junior" Es-5 is ok, 5 loops and NO "spare" loop for channel switching, but it does cover the main functions of the Es-8. It's cheap. I got mine for around $400AU.
Can i use a dual expression pedal for two different pedals; or one channel for total pedal volume control. the manual on the es-8 has two exp in; two outs plug 4 control. NOT CLEAR IF th cv outs and exp out is dedicated to what its plugged into ! Why not have expression inputs be assigned to the different pedals that support exp. pedals; but fed thru the es-8 rather than the exp input on each specific pedal. the exp pedal does different thinks to my pitchfork vs tremelo box, perhaps a volume control. But the ES-8 does not seem to have that now; only two exp out; vs being able to supply Qty-8; outputs if you had 8 pedals to support that. OK. next version of the ES--8A !! You Could feed thru to control all 8 pedals ( then software editable) or add 8 Exp/cv cabled outputs.
Can you use an external midiswitcher like : www.thomann.de/gb/tech_21_midi_mouse.htm?ref=prod_rel_293887_4 to switch from preset to preset. When I'm singing I'm not able to look down at which pedal I need to hit so this would be an nice combo for me.
Hello, Tomás! There is not a 2-channel version of this switcher. However, you can use something like the EarthQuaker Swiss Things if you want to switch between 2 different loops. Here's a link: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SwissThings--earthquaker-devices-swiss-things-pedalboard-reconciler Hope this helps, and thanks for the interest! excellent so many newer boxes don't do this ordering for any number; super ! boxes to just switch are all the same; and pointless. This has it all with routing and ordering.
There would be nothing stopping you here from (for example) putting your 2-3 fuzz stomps all into ONE "fuzz stomp" loop; then, before each song etc., manually activate whichever fuzz(es) you'd want on, so that when the time comes to activate your "fuzz stomp" patch, it's ready to go with the specific fuzz stomp you'd just pre-selected. Hope that's clear. Of course, you couldn't switch the actual individual fuzzes via separate patch changes in this way (unless you dedicate one fuzz to each loop), but still, this is one approach to using more than 8 pedals. Hope this helps.
I have contacted Boss and Marshall about this pedal as I have a TSL602 Amp. I understood that this could be used to switch amp channels along with setting which pedals are connected at the same time. Both have come back to say that there is no way to switch amp channels, so this looper is pretty much useless unless I want to use dirt pedals instead of my amps drive channels. £500 well spent....hmmm? Hope this helps anyone else who is thinking about this.
Franky Zee pleased it helped you. I am still using the switcher system for the pedals, but am still considering trading my amp for a compatible one as I do believe that flexibility would be awesome. Hopefully this might save someone else the trouble too ✌🏻
I thought it was possible if you assigned one loop for channel switching? I have an ES-5 and wouldn't mind being able to switch channels on one of my amps. I haven't actually tried it yet. If I can't, no biggie, pedals provide most of my drive.
OK, according to Roland, "The ES-5 turns any amp and pedalboard into one cohesive unit, with the added ability to connect it to an amp’s channel switching or any other footswitch that uses a standard 1/4″ TRS connection" Surely the ES-8 is the same?
For anyone reading this, both the ES-5 and ES-8 can change amp channels so long as the amp uses standard 1/4" TRS connections. If they use other connectors like DIN, sometimes a special cable can be built to make switching possible from the Boss units. Worst case scenario it's not possible at all and you're stuck using the footswitch that came with the amp. Isn't it great that every company does things differently with no standards whatsoever? I hate this industry sometimes
I can change anything on my JVM410HJS head using the ES-8 MIDI out: channel, channel color, noise gate, master, and mid-shift for example. This works perfectly. And if your amp is not MIDI but has some input jacks to monitor it from one or several footswitch(es) then you can use the ES-8 output controls: there are 3 of them, with 2 controls per jack i.e. 6 amp parameters potentially monitored from your ES-8.
Help please! I've probably missed an easy explanation of how to do this, but basically I'm confused about how this can run pedals through the front of my amp and it's effects loop. I'd like to know as I'm really interested in getting one of these. Here's my scenario... I've got a number of pedals that I run through the front of my amp (wah, overdrive, etc) and also a few pedals that I run through my amp's effects loop (delay, chorus, etc.), like most guitarists typically do... In this demo, I'm assuming that all of the pedals that he is running in the loops of the ES-8 are going through the front of his amp(s), with none of them running into the effects loop. So here's my big question: How would I be able to put my Overdrive, Wah and Distortion pedals in loops 1-3 (respectively) of the ES-8, but with my Chorus, Delay and Phaser going into loops 4-6 with the latter 3 somehow going through the effects loop of my amp? How would I do that?
+Elliot Stent You buy two ES-8s one for front of the amp one for the effects loop of the amp and then operate them separately. Not an ideal solution nor inexpensive.
+Elliot Stent It's done using the 4 cable method. You don't need two units...lol it's described on Boss's website. It's very easy and part of the design:)
+Elliot Stent Just route the amp into the Volume Insert loop. Then you put your pedals in the other loops. Internally, the ES-8 allows you to virtually re-route the effects so you can put them anywhere in the signal path. That way, you can have your Chorus/Delay stuff in front of the amp or in the loop, based on preset.
Hi, Ed.Thai! Thanks for your message, hope you're well and safe. You could run ES-8s in series. Keep in mind your order routing will only be accessible in each individual switcher. You could MIDI them together for PC and CC messages. This is all theory, btw... Have yet to try this IRL, lol. @@sweetwater Tnx. likewise the exp pedals would be for each unit vs them being fed thru; I would would guess . ?? unless the midi passed the exp pedals to all.
Hello, Clayton. Thank you for the question. You are only able to use Stereo S/R 8 as one independent mono send/return or one independent stereo return. Page 2 and page 12 in the manual gave me a pretty solid explanation of how to set that. Please give me a call if I can help answer and more questions. Michael Morgan, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1607, Michael_Morgan@sweetwater.com
Hey! I have a DD-500 and a RV-500. Can you change the presets on the ES-8 to control the DD-500 presets? (Example: When setting up your preset 1 on your Boss ES-8, does it allow you to to control which preset on the DD-500 it will use?)
@@iequalrandomness I'd be VERY surprised if it didn't. I would _imagine_ that you'd set up the DD and RV to receive on different MIDI channels, then from the ES-8, send MIDI out to the DD, then also with a MIDI Thru cable over to the RV. Then... set the ES-8 (within the patch) to send out on those two MIDI channels, complete with seperate preset change commands that each external unit would respond to. (Ex. MIDI Ch. 1, program change #22 to the DD + MIDI Ch 2, program change #60 to the RV.) Make sense? (NOTE: I do NOT own the ES-8 yet but this seems a logical expectation given its purported capabilities. And I am _totally_ open and willing to be corrected here.)
Why would you want to spend the extra resources to put something like this in a rack format? Some controller needs to be on the floor anyway. No reason to rack this..,
ouch $700 ? I would think it would be cheaper, nice design and great that Boss has come out with something to compete but you can get more for less currently.
Why are you not showing off how this works with stereo pedals? That's pretty much all I have now are STEREO pedals. This video needs an upgrade. I now have 8 STEREO pedals.
Hi Mark, we are sorry to see that you are not happy with this video. To better assist you with technical questions, please give us a call at (800) 222-4700 or email us at sales@sweetwater.com. Thank you!
Great device but I'll pass. I just played with my board. 2 taps and my OD + Fuzz are on. My Pitch Shifter and Flanger are set to Temporary mode so I can simply hold the pedal down for as long as I need the effect and release to disengage. I don't need to spend more $$$$ and rearrange my board just to save a few taps!
That's perfectly fine if its your solution. A small, tight board has lots of advantages! But, trying to say this will just "save a few taps" is obviously a giant understatement. You can change the order of your pedals in the signal chain, keep unused pedals completely out of the chain, and also set up, say, 6 different tonal palettes that, all using different pedal orders, fit every tone you need for a whole set. Thatd save 20+ steps and rearranging your pedalboard.
Dialed the playback speed down to 0.5X and still couldn’t keep up with him lol. Love Mitch to death but his verbal instructions tend to showcase his own understanding of the subject more than anything else. It’s really difficult to retain a lot that info at this pace lol.
***** Depending on your stance regarding analog/digital effects, this is probably something that should excite people who love effects pedals, especially those who already own a lot of stomp boxes.
Of course! I think is an awesome piece of gear. I know the way I express my comment can be interpreted as in I was talking down on it. By no means...I still prefer the G for more practical reasons, but if that was not the case, I would be all over this!
Huge fail with the cryptic UI and ridiculously huge manual. I'd have gladly paid another 20-50 bucks for bluetooth app control. That display is plain awful. As it is, it's like the alesis andromeda of switchers - it can do sooo much, but it belongs in another decade.
Daniele De Santis what's better quality about it? it's only $50 less (used, if we're talking new the MK IV is $50 more) and the only thing extra i see that it has is one additional loop. It offers none of the routing flexibility the es 8 does which is easily worth the extra $50. There's also additional es 8 features not detailed here such as an internal LFO that can be used to control parameters that an expression pedal would normally control.
Great sales video... "this can do this and that and this and that"... worthless as far as learning how the thing actually does the stuff... looks like another $700 of useless BOSS crap
@@grahamb5930 And there are apparently tons of other folks' videos out there that look to go much more in depth, towards a tutorial approach (going by the titles).
I find this introduction to the BOSS ES-8 very unhelpful. Mitch Gallagher speaks a mile a minute. I can't make out what he is saying. In fact, I'm quite sure this video was edited to take out any natural pauses, like taking a breath. 8 minutes of my time wasted.

It has 2 outputs so you can feed the front of the amp and the fx loop with different combos.
Mitch is smooth as butter...#sold
👍
Where can i get straight to angle cables like that?
when will we have a es-10, 12 ? VS SERIES THAT does not group two boxes together
Check this link:

Please contact me direct if I didn't understand your question clearly. Appreciate you reaching out!

ok, so this is the oportunity of building the multi FX pedal of my dreams
Here is a video that we have that will help:

Man, what a great comment. Thanks so much. Will investigate soon!
Can the Boss ES8 change amp channel and pedal fx at one click? per example change from clean amp channel with chorus pedal activated to crunch amp channel with delay and overdrive pedals activated?

This is such a fantastic unit. I'm a One Control user atm... but I'm realising more and more the advantages of these newer units... 🤔
I have 3 stereo pedals - how would this work?
Jesus that PRS is beautiful.
Ok, this from the Roland site entry on my ES-5 (the ES-8 *should* do the same)
"The ES-5 turns any amp and pedalboard into one cohesive unit, with the added ability to connect it to an amp’s channel switching or any other footswitch that uses a standard 1/4″ TRS connection.
Darrell McMillan There are already system like these, check out G Lab. i guess it is first one from Boss/Roland.
wiziek AFAIK this is the first one that allows you to choose the loop order, which I have not seen yet in other similar products.
Jolo Carrera decibel pedal palette has order switching but it limited in loops and midi
GigRig allows all these same features, also a bit more expensive. This is a great value.
The "junior" Es-5 is ok, 5 loops and NO "spare" loop for channel switching, but it does cover the main functions of the Es-8. It's cheap. I got mine for around $400AU.
or... you can get the boss gt100, and only use 2 cables, or 4 if you want to use your amps fx loop and make your own patches.
If I'm not going to be able to change the settings on the pedals why bother with all these cables
Can i use a dual expression pedal for two different pedals; or one
channel for total pedal volume control. the manual on the es-8 has
two exp in; two outs plug 4 control. NOT CLEAR IF th cv outs and exp
out is dedicated to what its plugged into ! Why not have expression
inputs be assigned to the different pedals that support exp. pedals; but
fed thru the es-8 rather than the exp input on each specific pedal.
the exp pedal does different thinks to my pitchfork vs tremelo box,
perhaps a volume control. But the ES-8 does not seem to have that now;
only two exp out; vs being able to supply Qty-8; outputs if you had 8
pedals to support that. OK. next version of the ES--8A !! You Could feed thru to control all 8 pedals ( then software editable) or add 8 Exp/cv cabled outputs.
Can you use an external midiswitcher like : www.thomann.de/gb/tech_21_midi_mouse.htm?ref=prod_rel_293887_4
to switch from preset to preset. When I'm singing I'm not able to look down at which pedal I need to hit so this would be an nice combo for me.
Dude... this is a midi switcher...lol. it does it all man.
how to compare boss es-8 to the super switcher; details on what one does ; the other NOT
Do exist one of this pedal switchers that have 2 channels only?
Hello, Tomás! There is not a 2-channel version of this switcher. However, you can use something like the EarthQuaker Swiss Things if you want to switch between 2 different loops. Here's a link:
www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SwissThings--earthquaker-devices-swiss-things-pedalboard-reconciler
Hope this helps, and thanks for the interest!

Cool!
excellent so many newer boxes don't do this ordering for any number; super ! boxes to just switch are all the same; and pointless. This has it all with routing and ordering.
Hello What happeds If I got more that 8 pedals?? Can I use etihert??
The Spaghetti Monster! lol
SweetwaterSound Please tell me that DC-2 is new? Are we going to see these return?
Zachary Drummond The one shown here is vintage. I doubt they'll (Boss) reissue it.
OK, according to Roland, "The ES-5 turns any amp and pedalboard into one cohesive unit, with the added ability to connect it to an amp’s channel switching or any other footswitch that uses a standard 1/4″ TRS connection"
Surely the ES-8 is the same?
+Safak Ozkan Thanks for the answer man, that's a pretty big oversight! :/
+Elliot Stent It's done using the 4 cable method.
You don't need two units...lol
it's described on Boss's website. It's very easy and part of the design:)
+Elliot Stent Just route the amp into the Volume Insert loop. Then you put your pedals in the other loops.
Internally, the ES-8 allows you to virtually re-route the effects so you can put them anywhere in the signal path.
That way, you can have your Chorus/Delay stuff in front of the amp or in the loop, based on preset.
for more pedals; can i run two es-8's in series ; with a sync signal ?
Hi, Ed.Thai! Thanks for your message, hope you're well and safe.
You could run ES-8s in series. Keep in mind your order routing will only be accessible in each individual switcher. You could MIDI them together for PC and CC messages.
This is all theory, btw... Have yet to try this IRL, lol.

@@sweetwater Tnx. likewise the exp pedals would be for each unit vs them being fed thru; I would would guess . ?? unless the midi passed the exp pedals to all.
@@sweetwater great. let me know .. most guys have more than 8 pedals so ........
The versatility of routing options is fantastic... but the price is kind of high and it also leaves you with a mass of wires and cables.
Need a pedalboard with cable management features, like the pedaltrain.
So loops 8L and 8R can be used as two separate mono loops?
Hello, Clayton. Thank you for the question. You are only able to use Stereo S/R 8 as one independent mono send/return or one independent stereo return. Page 2 and page 12 in the manual gave me a pretty solid explanation of how to set that. Please give me a call if I can help answer and more questions.
Michael Morgan, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1607, Michael_Morgan@sweetwater.com
Sweetwater thanks!
Oh!! I like your shoes!!!
Damn I thought it was going to be around 500 usd, 700 is just too much. Is it really worth it?
How many MIDI capable pedals can ES-8 control?
i think up to 8. I own one. I control my dd-500, strymon mobious and eventide h9 all at once.
Excellent bit of kit but at 500quid on ebay it can frigging stay there.
Damn dude, you've lost a good amount of weight!
Damn cables. I dream with the day I could connect pedals wirelessly!!
then say bye bye to analog
@@shaft9000 And costs thru the roof as we would likely be entering some kind of virtual Bluetooth hell! ;-)
If this was racked, had power distribution, and had a footswitch, it would be perfect!
Why would you want to spend the extra resources to put something like this in a rack format? Some controller needs to be on the floor anyway. No reason to rack this..,
@@PowerofJohras exactly.
ADA MP-1, Rocktron Intellifex w MidiMate; done.
Cables and cables and more bloody cables
+Kevin McVann You will spend a grand on Cables.
Yes, if I had made this video, I would have tucked everything nicely into a pedal board.
Kevin McVann they used very large cables, that is the mistake
I have OCD with patch cables and wires in my pedalboard. I always keep them ziptied and organized. So when I saw all that chaos I got triggered lol
...and then you read the Manual. Pages and pages and more bloody pages...
I hear popping when engaging loops...
Do you? Or is it the sound of the switch itself in the video? I agree, popping would suck. Hard to tell.
I hear it too
ouch $700 ? I would think it would be cheaper, nice design and great that Boss has come out with something to compete but you can get more for less currently.
TheWaterbound07 what can you get which offers more for less money?
Danny Whittingham ^this.
Oh good, I thought it's going to be complicated :)
Nice and simple, only 10,000 cables.
The screen of the switcher is really small.. not useful for live.. sorry..
Play it at 0.75x, thanks me later
Dialed the playback speed down to 0.5X and still couldn’t keep up with him lol. Love Mitch to death but his verbal instructions tend to showcase his own understanding of the subject more than anything else. It’s really difficult to retain a lot that info at this pace lol.
Relax Mitch. slow down
Too much coffee
Talk little bit slowly please
I love your videos, but would prefer you talk slower
Watch at .75 speed mate.
Basically a G-System with no effects, nice!!!
To not get you confused, this is my band YT channel, lol! Forgot to change it when logged in.
+Jolo Carrera Spot on ;-)
at that point just get the gigrig. this makes the pedal board huge. not interested whatsoever.
rohadt Anyad and so does the gig rig so what’s the difference
Huge fail with the cryptic UI and ridiculously huge manual.
I'd have gladly paid another 20-50 bucks for bluetooth app control. That display is plain awful.
As it is, it's like the alesis andromeda of switchers - it can do sooo much, but it belongs in another decade.
Musicom Lab is far better quality and even cheaper..
It's a review telling you what it can do, it's not an instruction video.
